Jessica accepted the staff-form Philosopher's Blade from Savranth with a [sub]"Thank you."[/sub] Using her new makeshift cane, she managed to get over to the chair her clothes were sitting on without nearly taking another tumble, though she had to do so slower than she could normally walk. [sub]"Seems I can walk alright with this...If you'll just give me a few minutes I can meet you outside and we can go looking for those guys."[/sub]

then don't use us! Use your evolved supreme being to smite him! You want us worms to kill him? Then you'll have to live with us doing a messy job in killing him. And besides, what do you want us to tell this world? That we're here to kill one man? They would not believe it, and try to investigate our reasons further. They will happily accept another contender for power, as that is the way of things. If they investigated what brought us to this despicable job, They might even discover secrets you wish hidden. This way, we do not interfere with your precious world as badly. Is that not what you wish?

"No problem. I'll let you do what you need to." Savranth says as he walked out of the room.

The general would vanish in a flash of light.

And then reappear in the same room that once housed Yukino. Before him was a chair. "Very well, then. I'll simply destroy your entire force. I suppose I'll simply have to reset the nations after I finish my work. Such a pity I liked this one. So, I'll send four drones to your camp and destroy your entire mighty army. Then, I'll dissect you. Not because I care about your lesser physiology, but just because I would enjoy your screams. Does that seem fair?"

The general looked through the room. "I find it funny that you assume I'd scream. Insulted, but I find it funny nonetheless. Well then? Get on with it. Kill me, and my army, and 'reset' those nations. Although, again, I must question the point of bothering to kill us all when I simply asked you for more cooperation. Not all of us are perfect, after all."

It would take considerably longer than an amount of time that could reasonably be referred to as 'a few minutes' for Jessica to emerge from her room, but when she did, she now looked competently dressed, wearing a white coat that looked similar to her old one over the clothes that she had worn the previous night to meet King Garzic. [sub]"Alright. Let's go."[/sub] She said to Savranth, then walked past him, seeming to rely quite a bit on the makeshift cane to keep her balance. Her slow, careful pace would make it easy for Savranth to immediately catch up with her. [sub]"So where should we start?"[/sub]

The clone calmly cloaked the body before running it out to the crater in the forest and cremating it. Afterward, it took the sack of stuff from Chafla's house and handed it to Yukino. Ness begrudingly digitized the sack, storing it in her PDA before fitfully going to sleep.

The foxgirl made her way to the rooftop where Black was still zoned out and fell asleep near the girl, curled up in a ball in her fox form.

"Well... We could look about the caste grounds. The garden or something like that." Savranth said trying to keep a steady pace with Jessica, rather than falling behind or pulling ahead of her.

A figure rose from the chair, standing 7 foot eleven inches tall, or two meters, with long white hair, a staff in it's hand. "Oh, you would scream, lesser creature. But you seem to fail to understand. What would be the point? I am reluctant to intervene. Even if you, and the nations of Xiphatia and Legaia were to join forces against me, nothing would come of it. I could simply crush you in my leisure. There is no joy in a battle you are sure to win."

Jessica nodded at Savranth's suggestion. [sub]"The palace is where you all stayed last night, right?...I guess it makes sense that they would be there again tonight, if they were going to be anywhere in the city."[/sub] She took notice of Savranth keeping pace with her, as she knew she moved pretty slowly now and didn't remember him normally walking so slowly. Though she didn't say anything about it, she still felt appreciative of the fact that he didn't seem impatient or patronizing in dealing with her in her current condition.

 

[FPSfanatic]

"Okay then. So, what exactly are you looking for here? Banter before you kill me? Fear? An understanding that you probably create life every several million years to test and retest a design, or have a laugh? Because, so far, all I've gotten is the impression of you being powerful. And frankly, after today, I need some sleep. So can we get your point of pulling me here done, so that I can get the errand you assign me done quicker? So that my people can leave you with your world to play with?"

 

[Saltyk]

"It seems like we could find them there or at least find a way to locate them." Savranth suggested. "Can't hurt to try."

[hr]

"No, I want you to understand where you stand. And that questioning and angering me is not in your best interest. Know that I am always watching. The moment you try to cross me, you will die. Now, begone before I DO kill you." The figure said, and the general would once more disappear and reappear in his camp.

OoC: It's late and I gotta work, so sorry, but gotta go.

Jessica simply nodded to Savranth as the pair of them headed to the palace. Upon arriving, they learned from a guard at the front gate that Loki and Rita had indeed returned to the palace, but were already retired to their sleeping chambers for the night. Savranth's mentioning of a garden had intrigued Jessica, since she was interested in seeing one more closely and extensively ever since getting a glance at Erica's garden. So instead of immediately returning to the hospital, Jessica wandered around the garden for a while, taking in the sights of the plants that made it up in the moonlight. Regardless of what actually made up the garden, she seemed to be mesmerized by it, both by its almost certain beauty and just at the fact that she had never seen anything like it before. After taking the time to thoroughly appreciate it, she felt too tired to go back to the hospital as she had intended to, so she took up the King's offer and slept in whatever guest rooms he had provided his other guests.

OOC: That's officially it for me tonight. I'll just let Salty fill in any blanks he cares to later.

Loki still slept, which was an odd thing, as he usually woke up early.

"And. Did you learn anything?" Richard asked, tapping a pen on his desk, although this likely wouldn't be hearable for Envy.

Having the body of their colleague and friend burried, the owner of Mettre en Lumière was in Holadino, reporting the murder "Black" had commited.

"And that's how it went. Killed, before his very eyes. He would've come and reported this heinous crime himself, but I'm afraid the poor man is too caught up in his... grief."

"I see. So she just walked into the tentand stabbed your employee?"

"That's what I was told, and I have no reason to doubt the word of my other employees. Which, lets not forget, the perp tried to kill too."

"Hmm... Okay. We'll catch her."

Rita found a nice spot in the courtyard to sit down and write in her book.

"Well, it's hard to say. Their native language isn't English, but it was pretty obvious they were preparing for war. I did see them chase off what appeared to be a Xiphatian assassin though, so they may be more inclined to be friendly with us, although the safer option might be to treat them as enemies." replied Envy.

So...This sucks...Can't believe this mess...Bad options...no options... I say as I rest in the remains of my ship. It was a bit stupid to try and work with the magicians in the first place, but...I thought, maybe it wasn't...Maybe I could have...Damn it...

Yukino yawned as she rose up on the rooftop she was on. She took a few moments to rub her eyes before sifting through the bag of stuff she stole from Chafla's house.

Ness woke up in the hotel room, sighing a bit. ...So we're back to square one...?

"That tells me all I need to know. They were told to not get in our way when they send out that radio transmission a while back. Appearantly they didn't think we were serious. This will soon change." Richard remarkedm then paused. "Hmm. If you're up for it, you'll be send with a hit team to aid in the... removal of these invaders."

 

[Furioso]

"Sure, but you'll need a bit more than a hit team, there's about a cities worth of them out there." replied Envy

"You shouldn't let Miss Yukino make you feel bad. I probably should reprimand her for being so crass." Persephone said as she appeared in Ness's room.
