near Savranth, Grace and Jessica a portal opens up a few feet in the air and John falls out "ow" he said after landing first face on the floor with a thud , John then gets up and says "finally i got tired of that place, no work for merc anywhere" looking to his left he saw the others rubbing his head he said "hey there guys thought i'd drop i kind of got bored of where i was" before also going to bed himself

Rita was awake, and was in the courtyard writing again

Black was still asleep for the time being, although she was pretty much silent as she was laid next to Yukino.

Concealed, Loki was exploring the palace, trying to find where the kitchen was located.

"Today, no. Yesterday, however, we caught one of the off-worlders working for Xiphatia. The one in the suit, to be precise." Richard answered Envy.

 

[Furioso]

"Seriously? What was he trying to do?" said Envy with a chuckle

 

[Chungus]

"He was caught casually walking into town. Of course, he denied all allegations that he was a spy, and claimed he wanted to defect. A poor excuse. Couldn't even come up with a decent story to back up his claims. It's a good thing we caught him though, things could've turned... very ugly otherwise."

Yukino rolled in her sleep a bit. She ended up facing the other way from Black.

Ness had woken up and poked through the bag of stuff once more for an object that may have been able to fit in one of the altar indentations as she was in her hotel room. I should've checked up on Jessica yesterday... She might come across one of those objects as she does her thing as well.

 

[Furioso]

"Defect? Huh, well he was only with Xiphatia for a few days, but then again that could be a part of his alibi. His suit could hold some interesting secrets, and the guy himself might know some Xiphatian secrets as well."

 

[Kirke]

OoC: @Nail: & @Hatchy: I'm really sorry that the battle has taken so damn long. I don't seem to get on until one hour before I have to sleep, and can never manage to stay up long enough. If you'd like to, I can end the battle fairly quickly. Your choice.

Grace walks into the courtyard, looking around, sitting down next to Rita, looking at the plants.
"Like the garden of eden." she said.

 

[Chungus]

"Yeah, that's what he said too, and I'm not buying it. But even if his story were true, we wouldn't want anyone like him among our ranks. As for the suit, yeah. It might have some stuff that would be useful to us, but we can't get to it. It has a built-in nuke, rigged to blow. The brass has ordered to get rid of the thing, and I agree with that decision. It should be dealt with right about now."

And indeed it was. With engineers and bomb disposal squads unable to figure out how to safely dismantle Tanner's suit, other measures were taken to dispose of it. Loaded into an airship, and far to the south-west of Port Letosh, the suit was dropped into the ocean.

Ness would find no objects fitting into the shapes of the indentations in the altar.

Rita gave Grace a confused look "The garden of who?"

Envy wasn't really sure what a nuke was, but rigged to blow was something he understood "Wha? Wait that thing could have its uses! It could be used against the guys in Rockbyrd, or Xiphatia!"

The knight's armour was dented, and he stumbled to the ground. The other knight got up and got into a defensive posture.

The wizard who had prepared a shield activated it, creating a black sphere around himself which seemed to absorb the energy of things around it. The other wizard was killed when a stone smashed his head. As the knight died, the knight who had been punched by Val and the one the Rookie had tackled earlier died, some black substance slowly running off their armour.

The Rookie emptied his clip on the knight who was covering behind his shield, with no effect. Then, he dropped his SMG and ran up, tackling the knight to the ground. He pulled out his pistol, and opened the visor of the stunned knight. A black miasma was covering his face, and it seemed to reach out towards the Rookie. He threw himself of the knight with a cry of suprise, dropping his pistol.
(To Erica: It seems to be some sort of possession spell, the knights are alive but are only there to hold up the enchanted armour!)

 

[Wackymon]

Mild, hearing this, began to look at the wizard. She began to fly around the wizard, thinking of a way to peirce the ball surrounding her. When she finds one, she'll dive in, and begin to beat the crap out of the wizard with glowing fists.[hr]
"Eden." she said.

 

[Furioso]

"Not sure who that is." replied Rita

 

[Wackymon]

"It's a woman from a myth from where I'm from, about the first man and woman, and how they were dispeled from the perfect garden for eating the apple of knowledge." she said.

OoC: @Nailik: If it's gonna take 20 minutes between each post, I don't think we can.

Having used her most potent attack left Erica severely fatigued. She fell to one knee, beathing heavily. That... Still takes a lot out of me. Hearing Tophat, Erica nodded and pointed feebly to the remaining wizard. "The knights are... possesed. Take out the mages!" she called with a strained voice.

Hearing Erica, and with her previous target disposed off, Valentine ran towards the wizard and leapt at him, making an downwards sweep with the talons of her claw.

"No. Nuclear weapons are unethical. And besides, the fallout would reach Legaia as well, and needless to say, that wouldn't be good." Richard answer, not overly pleased by the fact Envy suggest using it.
