Sasha looked up at Anna, her hazel eyes watery, confused as to what she'd been told. "You would let me learn here? We couldn't even afford magic lessons at my home. I don't know what to say..." She wiped her eyes again with her cloak, then stood up. "Yes... Yes, I gratefully accept your offer." She smiled wide.
Yukino smiles as she becomes enveloped by a black mist. Anyone with magic sense would feel that the mist's origins were almost demonic. She holds out her hand and the mist takes the form of a scythe. She smiles at Adam. [color=bb66bb] "Looks like you and I aren't that different..." [/color]

Ness nods a bit. "I see. Not to be offensive, but was this school an actual school... or one of those glorified torture chambers...?" She seems to look away for a moment before looking over at Mint and smiling a bit. "Yes, we are. 3 standard rooms, please. That necklace of yours looks nice on you." Echo hands Mint the money from her pouch.

Echo hands Mint the money from her pouch.
Lyra glared at the red haired girl, before picturing a facsimile of her as the target. She then spoke rapid fire in the clicking language of the Yatjua, and all 4 of the drones drifted forward, and circled the target. "You'll have to forgive my ignorance. I'm not too well versed in your people's magic, me being an ignorant tech head and all, miss..." she said, leaving space for her to say her name if she wishes so.
Jessica looked at Mint for a few moments after her question. "Uh, sure." She answered the girl, partly out of not feeling like going through her usual explanation, and partly because she felt because it was a child, she couldn't have possibly meant anything bad by it.
"Just make that two rooms, I don't really need one." She said, correcting Ness to avoid spending money needlessly.
Turning to Ness, she answered, sounding slightly indignant, "Of course it was a real school! I don't even know what would make you think that...that...other thing could be possible."

"Without my sword?" Savranth asked confused. He holds up his hand and created a fireball. He holds up his other and creates a small whirlwind that dances in his palm. "Plenty."

"Good girl. Take that to your daddy, and I'll see to the rooms."Paprika says and then walks over to the trio. "I'm sorry about that. She gets so excited. I hope she didn't offend you. We always tell her to treat everyone with respect." She explains adjusting her bonnet.

Ness taps her forehead a little, realizing her mistake. "My apologies. I've seen horrible things happen to those that are considered 'gifted' in my world. I shouldn't have assumed things..." She shakes her head for a moment. "That aside, what else did you learn from that school aside from controlling your powers?"

"Oh, I'm sure she's not that annoying. Now, miss Valetta, I do use technology. It's simply better then magic in the areas that matter when it comes to my job. Its cheaper, quicker to manufacture, less prone to personal problems, and above all it works when I need it to work, how I need it to work. Lets take, for example, this target dummy. Boy, doesn't have a lot of brains, does it? Somehow, this dummy ticked me off. Now, watch as the 'never forgotten' drones demonstrate my anger." she gives a hard, sharp click in the Yatjua language, and the drones eviscerate the target, and Lyra helped the imagery show a body chopped into bloody chunks by laser shots with her memories of what the lasers did to unprotected targets. "Now, I'm sure magic could do that too. Hell, maybe magic could do that 4 times as well, destroying other people as well. But a magician would need years of training to pull that off. Those things took me a month to build, tops, and now I can build however many I want in the span of days." she takes a breath, and crouches over the bits of target, poking through it with a knife. "'s'why I prefer Tech over magic, any day of the week."

Ness scratches the back of her neck a bit, seeing as she had made the conversation awkward. "There's always the Anomaly... So I'm clear... how long has these events been recorded?" She turned to Paprika. "I apologize for that mistake about the rooms..."
