"Precicely. When all is done, all we need do is sit back and watch the events unfold. Not to mention future ventures will be that much simpler as long as the destroyer lives." Loki answered, smirking. "Although it would pay to learn who is in charge is spreading news in advance."

"Anywhere better to be? We don't even know where or why we're here." I really should write things down more... My memory can't be trusted with even remembering major things... "So, yes. We'll join you." Erica answered Jessica, then looked to Valentine, asking, "If that's alright with you?"

"We hardly have anything better to do." Valentine answered with a slight chuckle.

 

[Furioso]

"Well that won't be too hard. That info can be obtained by asking around pretty easily." said Rita

[hr]

As Rita finished speaking Envy moved out from behind some rocks and then leaned against them. "Well well well, long time no see. You guys have been busy!"

 

[FPSfanatic]

Lyra aboutfaced, and began walking stiffly back to the shuttle. Once there she hopped far enough to grip the edge of the cockpit, and hauled herself in.

Ness calmly followed Lyra to the shuttle and hopped back into the cockpit. "Thank you for letting me see all of these things in production, Lyra."

 

[Drakmorg]

Jessica nodded to Erica, then began looking around for where to start in her continued tour. Shrugging to herself, she decided to head in the direction opposite the path that led to the command bridge, as she had just come from there, motioning for Erica and Valentine to follow her. "So who's your friend? I don't think we've really met yet."

 

[Chungus]

"While that is true, be--" Loki stopped mid-sentance when Envy emerged from behind the rocks. His right twitched inannoyance. How long has he been there? "Busy? We've hardly accomplished anything since last we met, and have only spend time traveling around Xiphatia." he said to Envy.

When Jessica walked off and motioned for Erica and Valentine to follow, the duo did so.

"I'm Valentine." Valentine answered Jessica. "You would have read about her, no?" Erica asked. Valentine looked slightly quizical at that question, wondering who would have written about her.

 

[FPSfanatic]

"it was no problem Ness. I... Enjoyed watching your reaction to my people's work. Its somewhat sad to think that this hunt is almost over, and we'll be parting ways after its done. I figured, might as well air out my feelings, you know?" Lyra took the craft airborne, and floated it out into the fleet again.

 

[Furioso]

Rita stepped back from Envy "What the hell? Where did you come from?"

Envy smiled at Rita "Oh you don't need to worry about that." He turned back to Loki "Don't bother, I heard enough to piece it all together. How did you manage to kill the King without anyone knowing it was you? Very impressive!"

 

[DotSlash]

Ness looked over toward Lyra and nodded a bit, already having an idea of what she was going to say. "Your feelings?"

 

[Drakmorg]

Jessica placed a finger on her chin and hummed to herself in thought. "I remember a little bit. I haven't read about her nearly as much as I have about you Miss Erica." She replied. She continued wandering about Lyra's ship with Erica and Valentine in tow for lack of anything better to do.

 

[Chungus]

This is unfortunate... "Well, simple deception goes a long way. As does staying quiet and out of sight, as I am certain you know." Loki answered, tightening the grip on his sceptre. "How did you, for instance, manage to be near me without me knowing, not once, but twice?"

"I see... Never thought someone would write about me." Valentine remarked. "Before you ask, it's Four that wrote about us." Erica chimed in, then remember she still had Four's autobiography. "That reminds me... I still haven't read much of it. I keep forgetting I have it with me. Anyway... What have you been doing since we last met, Jessica?"

 

[FPSfanatic]

"It's just... You're smart. Beautiful. Capable. Whenever I got into a jam, or thought I was going to die, you were there, bailing me out, willing to do anything to save me, keep me going, keep caring for me. If I didn't know you cared for Jessica, and the last 5 years of my life hadn't happened, I'd be all over you." Lyra flew the ship past a seige ship, flitting between the prongs that made up its tuner, before sliding past it. "I just. Fuck, you know? I don't know what the hell to do. I don't know what I'm wanted for. I don't know what you want from me, or what anybody does. I keep looking at these people I lead, and I wonder if what I'm doing is right, or would make Dancing blade happy, or proud, and I just don't know. I have no fucking clue. First time I actually talked to somebody outside my family I was 16, and that was a coroner to make sure they knew my first father committed suicide, and I difn't kill him. I barely knew how to talk to people, and ten years later people are expecting all this shit I didn't understand in the barest bit, and I still need to provide it." Lyra looked out the window at the darting dagger and burst into tears, shutting down the engines and letting the ship drift.

 

[Furioso]

Rita calmly took her book out.

"Oh I have my ways. But enough about me, what have you guys been up to? Other than regicide I mean."

 

[Drakmorg]

"What have I been up to?" Jessica repeated the question more to fill space as she tried to think up an explanation to give. "Not much really. When I got to the Xiphatian capital it was under attack by enemy forces. I don't really know how that battle went down exactly, I was unconscious for most of it. After I woke up, the King asked to see me and some of my companions and told us to go look for the enemy that they had managed to chase off. Haven't had any luck finding them though." She held out her left hand and started running it along the wall she was walking parallel to.

 

[Chungus]

"Evidently so... As for what we have been doing. Planning the regicide in question. A thing such as that takes much preperation, afterall." Loki answered, not about to reveal everything he had done. Looking to the sky for a moment, Loki weighed his options, then looked back to Envy. "If memory serves, you have a profound hatred of Xiphatia? What say you to the oppertunity to commit some regicide of your own? If you are as capable at staying unnoticed to approach me without my knowing, then this should prove to be a simple task for you."

"That sounds like quite the adventure, then. But, how did you end up here?"

 

[DotSlash]

Ness looked over toward Lyra and gave her a hug, unbuckling herself from her seat in the process. "I'm sorry to hear that your life was so hard, Lyra. I can't speak much for knowing about that sort of thing. But as for what I... or what others expect from you... is just to lead them the best way you know how." She continued to hug her as she tried to explain. "I'm not exactly a perfect leader myself and I've been guiding people for years now. They don't expect perfection... they just want you to lead them down the right path. ...You may not know what that 'right path' is now... but eventually, you'll find it as you keep moving on. I already know for certain that you've got a will like steel, so that's what you can start with... Lead people with that will of yours, then continue from there and work more and more for peace. Just do your best, Lyra... and you'll make your people happy."

 

[Furioso]

Rita held her book at her side for now.

Envy chuckled "Sounds fun, but didn't you already kill the King?"

 

[Drakmorg]

"Well, so far my search hasn't been getting me anywhere, and when Vanessa came here I felt she was in trouble, so I put it off for the time being to make sure that she was alright." Jessica replied to Erica.

 

[FPSfanatic]

Lyra took a few deep breaths, slowing her tears down. She said "I... Thanks Ness. That helps, it really does." she sniffled, and laughed just a little. "I noticed you quite cleverly sidestepped how you feel about me. Well done on that one." she laughed weakly, and pushed Ness away gently to turn the engine back on, guiding them into the Darting Dagger's hangar.

 

[Chungus]

"That we did. But there is still his offspring to deal with." Loki answered. "Now I know you are willing, on to the details. If the customs of the humans here are as I know them from elsewhere, the king would be burried some time soon, and his kin would be present for this. A perfect oppertunity to strike, given they will expect it least. All you need do is poison the food or drink that they would consume, and think of some way to prevent a healer to reach them while the poison does its work."

"How how did you feel like she was in danger? Some sort of telepathic connection, I assume? And, how long have you and Vanessa been friends?" Erica asked curiously.
