Ness blinked twice as she noticed Jess' ears pointing toward her. [color=666666] Ah... I see. "I was just wondering if you were holding up alright. You haven't said all that much since we've gotten down here." [/color] She stated as she picked the core up and began to look it over.

Samus got up as the dawn broke. After a while spent warming up and putting her armour back together, she walked out of her room, fully suited up except for her helmet which she carried under her arm. She headed to the kitchen.

When Axton entered the kitchen He'd be met by an empty bowl of cereal and Link sleeping on the table.

"Weird kid." Axton said as he saw Link. "You didn't break the bed with that suit did ya?" he asked as Samus walked in.

Seras simply gave Samus a small wave as she nursed her glass of juice.

 

[Gearhead mk2]

Samus returned Seras' wave, then turned to Axton. "I didn't sleep in it."

 

[Drakmorg]

"Hmmrow? Oh, right. Yeah that's because I've been deaf the entire time we've been down here." Jess explained somewhat overly casually to Ness. "Thanks for the consideration though." She added with a smile. Her ears twitched momentarily as she glanced down at the glowing object in Ness' hand. "What's that?... Are you sure you should be holding it?" She asked, sounding uneasy.

"You should have. The beds are actually pretty nice." Axton said, purposefully misunderstanding Samus.

 

[Gearhead mk2]

"...what?" Samus asked, not getting what Axton was suggesting.

"So, when you sleep in the suit, do stay standing up all night?"

Seras giggled a little at the thought of Samus sleeping standing up in her suit all night.

Ness blinked twice, raising an eyebrow at how casual Jess spoke about hearing loss. [color=666666] "Wh-wha?! Couldn't you have shoved a thought my way to let me know!?" [/color] She asked, frowning a small bit and looking a little concerned but simply sighed as Jess smiled. [color=666666] "Well, as long as you're alright then..." [/color] As the catgirl pointed out the core, Ness looked down and shrugged. [color=666666] "I'd think if it wasn't supposed to be held, they wouldn't have left it in here where people could easily reach it... but maybe you're right..." [/color]

She placed the core back onto the shelf she'd taken it from and began to walk around a little more. [color=666666] "Still, it might be fun to see what that little thing can power up...." [/color] She mused, mainly to herself as she began to look around elsewhere.

 

[Gearhead mk2]

"No. I try and find somewhere safe, then active some motion sensors and lay down for the night." Samus replied, not understanding it was a joke.

Axton just shrugged and went back to eating, not really feeling like explaining the joke.

Samus went over to the fridge, getting some eggs, milk, bread and ham.

After he finished eating, Axton left the hut to go back on the beach.

"What are you planing on making?" Seras asked Samus.

 

[Gearhead mk2]

"I don't know, something basic like an omelette. I'm used to all my food coming from a ration pack, so I don't really know how to make complex food myself." Samus said, placing the eggs on the side and looking in the cupboards for a pan and a glass.

 

[Outisakanobody]

"Well, I'm not much of a cook, but would you need any help with that?" Seras asked Samus as she stood up from the table.

 

[Gearhead mk2]

"Butter, a pan, a timer." Samus replied, listing them off like they were military orders as she found a glass.

"O-okay." Seras said as she looked for the appropriate items.

Samus, realising the bread was unneeded, put it back.

As Axton walked out, he'd see two figures on the horizon slowly moving toward him and Lauren.
