We Are Our Avatars VIII: Interdimensional Jaunt. (Closed up, thanks for playing.)

Amelia looked worried.... more so than usual. [color=ff7777] [small] "Doesn't that mean... we should be careful..." [/small] [/color] Looking to Samus and Gideon, she flailed her arms a bit. [color=ff7777] [small] "W-w-wait! W-We can't go suspecting p-p-people in this group already! I-Isn't everyone still in the dorm here?" [/small] [/color] She asked, looking to the beds to see if someone was missing.

 

[Chungus]

"Who knows?" Gideon answered with a shrug. Seeing how there were multiple people skeaking at normal volume, he didn't bother keeping his voice down himself, although he didn't quite speak at normal volume. "If it is someone here, I'm bettin' it's the same one who thought it was a good idea to fire a gun indoors, or blast a door off it's hinges."

Hearing Amelia, Gideon shrugged. "I trust the security here knows what they're doing. And sure, I can. Considering not everyone's been acting like a propper guest." When Amelia looked around the dorm, Gideon cast a cursory glance over it, but couldn't see that far ahead in the dark, and he didn't bother standing up to get a closer look.

 

[Random berk]

The rathalos was completely taken aback by the human's lack of fear in the face of his fury. No one was that steadfast. Even most wyverns that he had met backed down before his rage. He caught the scent of the charred meat as he pondered this and felt his appetite peak in spite of himself. He growled at Adam as he stalked forward, rising to the full extent of his legs and flexing his wings slightly, a demonstration of his size and confidence, and a clear statement of what would happen if Adam tried anything. Hesitating a moment just out of Adam's reach, he then stretched his neck out and clamped his massive toothy jaws on the meat just an inch from Adam's hand, blazing eyes holding Adam's gaze as he did so, alert for trickery.

 

[Gearhead mk2]

"This is what happens when you lock people up together..." Samus said dryly.

 

[Chungus]

"No, this is what happens when you lock people up together, and some of them happen to be a bit bonkers." Gideon said to Samus as he looked towards her, shaking his head slightly. "I was no more happy at being locked up then anyone else, but you don't see me demolishing the place."

As Amelia didn't have the best eyesight herself, she didn't notice many people in the beds. She sighed a bit as she listened to both Samus and Gideon. [color=ff7777] [small] "...I-I guess...." [/small] [/color] She said, seeming a small bit deflated. [color=ff7777] [small] "...Well, hopefully those g-guys can handle whatever's h-happening downstairs... I-I really don't want us to have to f-f-fight something this.. late...? E-Early...?" [/small] [/color] She said, now seeming confused about the time.

 

[Gearhead mk2]

Samus grunted in agreement at Gideon and Amelia.

 

[Chungus]

"Yeah... I don't exactly fancy the fight coming here, either." Gideon responded to Amelia, rubbing the back of his neck lightly. "Still, I'm not too woried about that. On the off chance whoever's doing this gets away, they won't exactly have much reason t'come here."

Having no idea what time it was either, other then that it was some time in the night, he didn't comment on Amelia's guesses as to what time it was.

Adam smiled, and released his hold on the meat, letting the Rathalos feed.

Amelia gave another small sigh and her hand drifted to the hilt of her rapier. It gave off a faint hum and the sheep girl took a deep breath, seeming much calmer. [color=ff7777] "...Then we should be alright then... None of us have made enemies with the people who live here, right? Especially since none of us are supposed to be from this.... dimension... did they say?" [/color] She said, her voice a lot more steady.

 

[Random berk]

The rathalos pulled back, still watching Adam suspiciously as he swallowed the chunk of meat whole. Still unsure of the human, he began to pace around him, the ground vibrating with each step that he took. He sniffed at the human as he circled with his snout up close, each breath drawing a rush of cool air past Adam.

 

[Gearhead mk2]

"I think so." Samus said.

 

[Chungus]

While he didn't hear the rapier hum, Gideon noticed Amelia's voice steadying after she touched its hilt. That sure's a change of tone... Wierd. Did it have... Nah. Setting his thoughts aside, he nodded in response. "That's what they said, yeah. Still finding that kind of hard to shallow, even if I don't have much reason t'doubt it, seeing as how I got here."

 

[Gearhead mk2]

Samus noticed the change, but didn't comment on it. She looked at Gideon. "How did you arrive?"

 

[Chungus]

"Some kind of... tear in reality opened up some ways infront of me, and it sucked me in. Next thing I know, I was here." Gideon answered, looking back to Samus. "That's the best way I can explain it. How about you?" He asked, then, as an afterthought added, "Oh, and name's Gideon. Who're you?"

 

[Gearhead mk2]

"Samus. And I just woke up here, missing all my equipment." Samus said.

 

[FPSfanatic]

A voice came over the intercom, female and business like. "Team 7B, we are experiencing trouble in Zone 736. Please secure gear, and report for lift. Briefing will be provided at lift exit."
[hr]
Adam sat quietly, shivering at the cold breaths. He looked down at the meat in his hands, and grabbed a chunk, nibbling at it.

 

[Chungus]

"Right... And I thought how I came here was random." Gideon idly commented, mostly speaking to himself while silently wondering if multiple showing up in the same place from vastly different places at random was connected in some way. It seemed too much to be a coincidence. "How about you? How'd you end up he--" He said, looking back to Amelia as he spoke, but looked up as the voice over the intercom rang out. Ugh. I hate being in the dark like this.

Amelia shook her head as she listened to the two. [color=ff7777] ....That sounds like the same way I got here. [/color] Once she was prompted by Gideon, she sighed a bit. [color=ff7777] "...It was in a similar manner to the two of you... I think I was on my way to file a few forms away... and then I blacked out. The next thing I knew, I was in that room with the broken chairs..." [/color] She reported, tapping her pointer finger on the hilt of her blade. Hearing the intercom, she blinked and looked up. [color=ff7777] "...They're calling for reinforcements...?" [/color]

Samus looked around as she heard the announcement. "Does that mean us?"
