The Chozo raised its shield, absorbing the hit of the whip, and stepped forward, jabbing with the sword.

If one was able to examine the shield, they would see that the rock had hardened at the point of contact with Samus's whip, becoming more resistant to damage.

Sarah smiled politely. "Don and his team are... emotional. Its one of the reasons they were assigned to you as your caretakers. If they had known where you had gone, they would have wanted to go, completely sacrificing the defense of our armory. I respect them, but they are not the clearest thinkers in times of crisis."

Samus didn't notice the shield hardening, focusing on the fight. She moved to the side, dodging the sword jab, then tried lashing out with the whip again, aiming for the sword arm while it was still exposed.

"There's still the thing that no one'd suposed to go down that place, though. If what I was told's true." Gideon responded. As Blondie walked off with Joe, Gideon cast a brief glance as he left, before looking back to Serah. "So if the place's under lockdown, why send a bunch of strangers down there?"

The Statue's arm was caught, and it groaned slightly, before pulling back, where it would lift Samus up if she kept his arm whipped. if not, its raised arm would fall, aiming to slash Samus again, following it up by moving forward with a shield slam.

The murloc tilted its head back to look up at the gorgon's face, and screeched its well known war cry, having considered the possibilities of the fight and seeing no real downside. It swung its spear forward, aiming to jab the ever loving shit out of our southern friend.

Samus let go of the statue's arm as it raised it for another swing, dodging the slash. However, she didn't dodge the shield bash, which connected and sent her sprawling backwards. She fell over, but got up again relatively quickly, and began circling the statue.

With the forest thickening immensely around her, Amelia looked around and noted that the sound had basically become nulled. Regardless, she continued through the forest, taking a walk and pulling out a small compass from a compartment in her dress. Alright so.... to get back I just need to keep going... She consulted it to see which way she was currently facing.

Franky continued to rumble along until the forest got so thick it made it impossible to navigate through it at a good clip. He sighed as he realized he really couldn't let loose in this area. He opened the hatch and stuck his head out for a short time, looking around for a moment.

The statue stepped forward, and aimed to swing his sword to catch Samus in her circling. However, the arm failed in the joint Samus had caught, which had hardened and become difficult to move. The statue shook, and gave Samus a brief window to attack, before lurching to life with a kick.

Seeing the statue grind to a halt, Samus tried to tie the whip around it's sword arm and pull it over before it recovered, though she lost her grip when it kicked her away.

The statues arm would now begin fusing, proving it impossible to swing the sword around. It slowly stomped forward, shield up and ready to deflect an attack from samus.

Seeing that the statue's arm was locked in place, Samus took the offensive. She ran forward, rapidly and repeatedly lashing at the statue with the whip, trying to land hits on any part not covered by the shield. However, the speed of her attack left it somewhat inaccurate.

The attacks would slow the chozo to a crawl, forcing it to defend itself more heavily with its shield. It had fallen back and had begun using its locked arm to catch the whip lashes, aiming to stop the blows from falling. At this point one leg would be made almost immobile, hardened to uselessness, and the shield arm was having trouble moving as well.

Samus tried repeating her earlier strategy, wrapping the whip around the shield and pulling on the statue, trying to topple the stone machine.

Hearing and noticing the obviously aggressive motions of the murloc, the creature hurriedly adjusted its posture so its head wouldn't be the target of the murloc's strike. "Yeep!" The murloc's strike would seem to land, but the only accompanying noise would be the tearing of fabric, and the sensation of its blow deflecting off of something. "Ohh! Mah dress! Maw'll be awful sore at me fer tearin' it!" The creature quickly rose up and turned around in one fluid motion. "Which means I'm sore at you now! C'mere!" It spouted angrily as it lunges at the murloc, aiming to pin it to the ground.

The murloc shrieked, before being pinned. It gurgled angrily at her, and fought, but that poor guy is feeble as hell, and its doubtful he could struggle out.

The orks were still fighting, though it seemed that the older ork had finally secured the two's surrender but for a few blows.

The gorgon would hear some coughing in front of her, and if she looked up, she'd see a horde of little murlocs, watching her and the braver murloc wrestling. One was coughing up the underwater equivalent of a hairball.

With the creature Having a size and weight advantage over the murloc, as well as being no slouch in terms of strength, it would have almost no chance of escaping the pin on it's own. The creature wrapped its lower body around the murloc, coiling around it like a boa constrictor, and squeezing it as one would as well, though not as tightly as to suffocate the murloc. "Now say yer sorry!" The creature seemed to be wholly preoccupied with trying to pry an apology out of the murloc, and paid little attention to anything else.

The murloc screamed in its own language, unable to even think of words in the language the wrangler was using. If its captor spoke its language, it would understand the creature was praying a pox upon all who smiled to its holder.

The rest o the murlocs seemed irritated at their buddy being handled as he was, and a collective growl was taken up.

The Older ork parried an axe blow, and knocked the bigger ork's axe out of its handed. He swung out and smacked the smaller ork, and yelled out "Stop this fighting, now! I have proven I am superior. Continued battle would only wound you unneededly." the ork groaned, and shouted "Fine! You win, ya mean git! You da crumpiest!" the older Ork Hmmphed, and stepped away, looking his new charge over. "Good. Know the name Thrall as your chief. And know I will not allow you to fight for fightings sake. We will fight where it is needed." he called back "How go you, Lady snake?"

"Uhm... Hunh." The creature replied, not understanding the murloc in the slightest. One of the masses atop the creatures head hovered near the murloc for a moment, then came back up near the creature's face. "Whut?... Ew! No wonder 'e felt so slimey" The creature let go of the murloc and hastily slithered away. "Whut even is that thang?" Hearing itself being spoken to, the creature momentarily forgot its confusion over the situation to spit back at Thrall, "Ah ain't no damn snake!"

Thrall held up his hands, and said in the most soothing tone he could manage "My apologies. Perhaps you could tell me your name- and what that noise is? It sounds familiar, but I don't know why." he said, hearing the hissing murlocs.

The murloc the creature had pinned stood on its feet, and glared in the creature's general direction. It began gurgling in the language of murlocs, and walking along the line of other murlocs, who began gibbering encouraging cries in their own language.

The statue struggled against Samus's grip, turning this into a tug of war.
