We Are Our Avatars VIII: Interdimensional Jaunt. (Closed up, thanks for playing.)

The statue closed up as Samus climbed in, then moved into a standing, upright position. The stone began emmiting brilliant golden light that would have blinded any observers, the stone itself shifting to a gold hue and giving off an electronic hum. Eventually, the glow dimmed and the humming stopped, revealing the statue had changed. Samus was encased head-to-toe in powered armour, with glowing emerald trim, large shoulder pads and a canon on the right forearm. She looked at her armoured left hand, then nodded, satisfied, and walked forward. She stopped after a few steps, looking at where the Chozo Statue had been. Thank you.

"Where will we be going once this quarantine is over?" Blondie asked Sarah.

 

[FPSfanatic]

Sarah sighed, looking the new arrival over. "Alright then, didn't think we'd be collecting new people..." she muttered, before approaching the car. she discretely tapped a watch she wore as she approached him. She glanced at Blondie. "Give me a moment, will you?"

The statue Samus exited stood motionlessly, before eventually settling into the famous position chozo have held in the game, staring at his hands and holding both up.

 

[Kirke]

The man put one finger in his ear momentarily to check if he his hearing was bad, then called out again.
"What?" - He thought for a moment then added - "Hang on, this really isn't a good way to hold conversation. Gimme a minute, I'll come down!" He stuck his head back in and disappeared for a moment or two, then the door opened fully and he began cautiously climbing down.

Samus walked away from the statue, bringing up the database in her suit and examining it's condition. Power Beam, Space Jump, Scan Visor, Heat Shielding... better than no suit. She seemed more relaxed as she went back the way she had came, her hand resting on her arm cannon habitually.

 

[Chungus]

"Yeah... That was more or less my reaction, too." Gideon commented as the new arival put his finger in his ear, although he was mostly speaking to himself. When Serah began approaching the car of the man, Gideon looked back to Franky, and took off his hat, spinning it around on his right index finger.

"So Frankie. What're you going to do once we get out of this quarruantine here?"

Seras turned over on her side, still sleeping.

Blondie looked at the new arrival, being rather sly about it.

"Well..." Franky said as he looked over to Gideon. "I've heard that there are some shops and stuff here, so could at least see what is around there. Otherwise I'd want to finally let loose and have a nice ride through an open road. Might be harder to do that given I don't know the laws here, but I'll manage." He sighed as he rested his head on his hand, looking abck up at Gideon. "So what about you Gideon?"

 

[Chungus]

"You want to go shopping? Do you know what kind of money they're using here, then?" Gideon asked. "As for what I'll be doing, I'll be trying to get a job as soon as I can. Like I've said, I'm not one to just sit around and do nothing, and ontop of that... I don't want these people thinking I owe them something. Owing a dept is something you should avoid, if you ask me." He answered. "That aside, I just want to go around and see the sights this new world has to offer. Always wanted to move off my home planet, and it looks like I got my wish. More or less, anyway."

 

[FPSfanatic]

The ship would not react to Franky's calls, continuing to lay dormant.

Once the man finished climbing down, he'd find a woman in a suit and short hair standing, waiting for him.

Amelia continued her wandering around, hands behind her back and humming a small bit to herself.

Franky didn't feel like risking a salvage of the ship for the hell of it. As curious as it could be, it was more than likely that there was nothing within the ship. Although he didn't equip his racer for any sort of exploration tools, he did flip his IR and UV vision up to see if they picked up anything, such as a heat source or what have you.

Franky thought for a moment before answering back. "Sure, and no idea. But even if I don;t buy anything, there is a lot of stuff that I'd assume I'd never seen before. Upgrades to my racer, you know." Franky then looked back to Sarah for a second, before going back to Gideon. "You saying I sit around and do nothing? And about the off world thing, was it just too expensive, or is the technology just not there yet for ya?"

Franky would see no heat signatures apart from a small reactor that still carried a bit of juice. It was emitting heat, but not as much as a reactor being active would. Nothing would show up on UV.

 

[Chungus]

"Well... You're just sitting around now." Gideon replied jokingly, giving Franky a wry smile. Throwing his hat up, he caught it by the rim, and put it back on before continuing. "In all serioussness, no. Just saying I'll be wanting t'stay busy as much as I can. Prefferable with a job that doesn't require me to stay in one place for too long.

As for the space travel, it's just way too expensive. I've been saving up for a long time, but I'm still way off. The tech's been there for a while."

Samus eventually went off-track, partly because she wanted to explore. She eventually saw Amelia through a gap in the trees, and walked towards her.

Noting the sound of something mechanical getting louder and louder, Amelia blinked blankly as she turned her head slightly, seeing Samus in her Varia Suit. She blinked twice before taking a step or two backward as the suited woman approached, not sure of what to make of the situation.

[color=ff7777] ....What's a robot doing in a place like this....? I thought this was all-natural... M-Maybe its a security drone that's telling me I've gone too deep in...? ...B-b-b-but what if it's hostile...? Uh... Uh... Wait.... Don't make any sudden moves... [/color] She began to tremblea small bit as her hand began to subconsciously drift toward the hilt of her rapier.

Samus saw Amelia trembling and reaching for her blade. She stopped, held out her hand to Amelia in a "stop" motion, then pressed a button on her helmet to turn her visor transparent, revealing her face and giving a small but noticeable smile.

 

[Zepherus14]

"Ya, that's because unlike you, I have to worry about a hawk thinking I look pretty tasty." He also joked, but in a tone that showed he was serious about it. "Right, just curious mostly. Space travel where I'm from is very common, and ain't that expensive at all." He replied. "Not stay in one place for too long though? Not the way I would put it." He cocked a little fuzzy eyebrow.

Franky decided it wasn't worth it, although marking it on the map he'd been generating as he'd been rolling along. 'I'll ask about it later then.'

 

[Kirke]

The man sighed as he got out of the tree, turning to face the suited woman. He touched his brow to her while moving to get out from under the tree.
"Hi there lady. If I were you, I'd move a few steps. Don't want to be crushed by a car, eh?"
