With Anik moving out of the city and sensing Timea, she would also notice Sibylla's heart along with her. Despite the fact that it was fairly young and mostly empty of experience, it housed a frightful amount of malice and killing intent, and delighted in sowing fear in others.

"More than jus' a little." Sibylla groaned to Timea, gently rubbing at the spot where she was poked.

[color=9f2089]"Yeah, I could really go for some sleep right about now."[/color] Cybil chimed in.

 

[Chungus]

"Ah, well. A healthy amount of fear is good, it can help keep you alive. We'll put asking if there are any water predators in this river on our little list of things that need to be done", Timea commented, turning around, and walking back to the shark. "For now, let's get back to the shark. We don't want to go to bed hungry, now do we?"

Reaching the shark, growing a talon from her right index finger again on the way, Timea turned back to Sibylla. "So! Skinning. With just this area, there isn't much complicated about it. You place your cutting tool - in this case, my claw - at the base of the extremity, and cut along it. For a beginner like yourself, you'll want to make a series of small cuts, rather then try and go for two or three long ones. Since you can't see, I suggest you pinch the skin near where you're cutting, to get an idea of how deep you need to go."

"Now that is just silly. Why would you use steam when you can power flyers with inscrutable power source? Have none of you ever seen the magic used to create... Oh, yeah. That's why! They don't have magic here."

 

[Silence]

Timeas heart nearly overwhelmed Anik. Paradoxically, she was kind of glad about the other heart.
"Now that is something a lot more familiar."

"Well, I didn't think the night could get any more interesting." Anik said to herself. Because she would not sleep with such hearts nearby, she headed straight towards them, using the sounds of desert critters.
In the proximity, she waited, listening if there was any reaction to her approaching.

[color=66CCFF]"Steam power is a very simple and sad attempt at human "technology". Gems are far more advanced. More than Shara's home world, too."[/color] Aqua answered Heno, directing the last bit to Shara as well.

Topaz walked up to Robin and poked him in the back of the head.

"Never doubt steam power, Heno. It's volatile stuff."

Eventually they would make their way back to the inn.

"Raise your hand if you want a room here. I need to know how much money I'm spending."

"That's ancient? What do you use?" Robin asked Shara.

[color=66CCFF]"But wouldn't it be more efficient if the rest of you shared a room?"[/color] She asked, then seemed to stop and think for a moment. [color=66CCFF]"What is the purpose of seperate rooms, anyway? Can you not sleep anywhere?"[/color]

 

[Silence]

"I want a room!", Speedy said, "But I can share it with someone."

At Night

When the group entered the inn, they would see Matilda sitting at the bar, talking with the locals, describing a horrifying beast that ate people alive. [color=006d5b]"... an' we call 'em Drop Bears. Cause they drop on ya, y'see."[/color] Matilda explained, poking a man who was passed out on the bar.

In the Day

"That sounds terrifying. How do you deal with that?" one of the workers asked Yeager. As they talked, the barge had moved further down the river, approaching the city. Yeager would be able to see a number of farms in the land by the river.

 

[Chungus]

Starting to get desensitized to Sibylla's odour, Timea occasionally breathed through her nose for short durations. In one such moment, Timea caught Anik's scent as she approached. Although still too far away for her to be able to hear Anik, and it being too dark to be able to see her yet, Timea looked into the direction Anik was coming from, hoping that whatever was moving towards her and Sibylla wouldn't get closer.

Zephy had mainly stayed quiet as she hung around her sister for most of the day. She'd already made a mental note to go back to the library tomorrow to read up on a few things, namely the place's history and probably to find herself a world map at some point for the group. While everyone was crowded around, she'd casually raise her hand. [color=46e16f] "Cybil and I will share a room..." [/color] She'd speak softly before letting her hand retract back behind her cloak.

While the group was stashed away at the inn, Nirvana was already long gone, cigarette lit in her mouth. She'd found a road leading out of the city and just kept walking.

At night
You chuckle quietly at Aqua's statement, adding that you haven't even told her that much about your home. You then say that humans prefer to sleep on soft beds, as it is much more comfortable.

Robin raised a hand. "I'll take a room. I don't mind sharing though."

 

[Drakmorg]

Sibylla nodded to Timea in regards to not wanting to sleep while hungry. She slithered over to the shark, coiling up her tail and lowering herself to the ground so as to approximate sitting next to it. "Ahlright, ah think ah got it." She said, indicating readiness to begin.

Unless Anik was within 10 meters of Sibylla, she wouldn't go noticed by Sibylla at all.

Cybil nodded along with what Zephy had said, her sister taking the words right from her mouth.

Topaz poked Robin again since he didn't notice the first time, apparantly.

"I think I'm going to sleep on the floor. I am not picky... And all the beds I have ever slept on have been too small. But that's besides the point."

 

[Furioso]

"Lots and lots of soldiers, escorts, and weaponry." replied Yeager, as he lazily looked at the farmland.

Robin looked at Topaz as he poked him. "What is it?" he asked the gem.

"So that's Shara, Cybil and Zephy, and Robin. I've already paid for mine."
