And finally you're making it sound like we're hiding from someone who's out to get us. We're not putting on disguises. Robin's just discovered a cheap loophole that looks like the most plausible thing that could work. And I also want to find out about the portal that's connecting to my world."

It took a while for Zephy to wake up, she wasn't a morning person. Regardless, Cybil's exercises roused her to groggy alertness as she tried to prep herself for the day. After fluffing her hair a bit and adjusting the cloak so it looked just right, she'd head downstairs and gave a little wave to the group gathered there.

Zephy blinked for a moment as Cybil suddenly covered Aqua's mouth and then looked over toward Jane and sighed softly to herself. [color=46e16f] Well... This was bound to happen... [/color] She'd grumble a bit before walking up toward the two, gripping her fan within her cloak... just in case. [color=46e16f] "Sibby, remember. "You're welcome. Although you've just smeared blood over yourself, so you're going to have to bathe, later", Timea stated. "Being covered in mud is one thing, but like this, you're even more likely to catch a disease. Not to mention that you're going to attract flies, more than usual. And there is a kind that go and lay eggs in your hide. They might not get through your scales, but heeere... ", Timea explained, giving Sibylla a light poke on the cheek when pointing out the softer skin. "They could definitely get through that."
Feeling around the skinned fin, Sibylla might feel the muscle fibres going downwards, with ligaments going upwards at the tip of the fin. Ligaments were also located at the base of the fin, one stretching from the base to the tip on the fins underside.
"Well, no. What you're thinking of, that's just a matter of speech. It's not actually a real thing, Hillary" she answered Hillary, glancing towards her, looking on a bit curiously upon noting Hillary looking between her and Anik.

Timea woke up at the base of a sand dune some distance where she had eaten the shark, shortly after first daylight. With a yawn, Timea rolled herself onto her back, her arms spread out, soaking up the sun for a moment. Smiling to herself after a while, Timea got up into a sitting position, and looked over her shoulder, to her two companions. "Rise and shine, girls. We've got a long day ahead of us."
You are not sure who's room you ended up in, as you began sleeping the moment you fell in your bed. As you now head back to the common area, you consider what your next move should be. You want to keep moving, to try and find a way home, or at least live a life more like the one you left.
The scene that greets you doesn't surprise you much, and you decide to stay out of it for now. Instead you sit down near the others and greet them.

"Well, there are means and ends to dull my senses, alcohol for a start. The vodka here is not really strong enough, though.
And I don't really spend my time near loud noises, so why should I go deaf?
A sand girl? Now that's unusual. I assume you also came from some other world?" Anik said, then she decided it would be time to change the subject.
"Do you have any goals here? I actually found out about this lands government already, I could share some information with you."

Hearing Anik's response, Timea thought that that explained the strong scent of alcohol on Anik's breath. She also didn't buy into Anik's explanation, being sure enough that one's sense of hearing couldn't be dulled, other then to plug up the ears.
"Our goals would be surviving off of the land, first and foremost. Trying to get Hillary back home is also what we're trying to do, but obviously, nothing much will come of that if we're dropping dead from hunger or thirst, so we're not rushing that", Timea explained, deciding not to press the topic of Anik's hearing. "I won't turn down your offer, let's hear what you know, then."
"Well, I think the most important information is that magic is illegal here, but miracles not. I can't explain the difference to you. They seem to think if you use magic, either your eyes glow, or you use something called "sky-metal".
It was made illegal because some members of a race called "Vesh'Rah" killed the crown prince.
Oh, and the priest I spoke to claimed that this crown prince and his relatives are demi-gods, descendants of a god called "Calibeth". And they are here to unite the world under their rule.

Timea listened to Anik's explanation, going back to help Sibylla when needed. "Well, most of that, I already knew. But thanks for relaying the information, regardless", she responded once Anik finished speaking. "Frankly, I'm surprised the retaliation stopped at just outlawing magic, instead of launching a campaign against these Vesh'Rah."
With that said, Timea looked to Anik, over her shoulder. "Hmm. I've told you about our general agenda, but what about you, Anik? What are you planning from here?" Asking the question, Timea observed Anik closely, reading her face, down to the most subtle changes she was likely not even aware of she made. The blindfold made the reading a bit harder, but Timea could still get a a clear idea by looking at the movement around the mouth and brow.

Although Timea would see where Sybilla where she had curled up for the night, Hillary would be missing for the spot she'd initially picked. Any moment of panic that might have befallen her however was short lived as Hillary started to reform herself near the spot Timea had been sleeping. Once her arms and head had reformed properly she rubbed her eyes and looked around drowsily. "It's morning? But the sun isn't even out yet?"
