Anik whistled a tune and walked the road as far as she could. As she neared the palace, she searched for the nearest person and asked:
"Good day. I'm from very far away and new in the city, but I have heard great things about the descendants of Calibeth. Is there any way a woman like myself could meet them?"

Speedy sat himself on the head of Cybil. Then he looked up into the sky and noticed Topaz falling.

"Look out!" he squeaked.

Aqua looked up in search of Topaz, only for him to land a few feet away shortly after. He barely made an impact with the ground and only bent his knees slightly apon landing, and was completely unharmed.

[color=66CCFF]"I hope you have an explanation ready in case anyone saw that."[/color] Aqua told him, before following Anik.

"Well, there are temples in pretty much every city." the man said to Timea.

The woman Anik had approached looked over at her and said, "I don't think so."

Sibylla had markets described to her, and was given directions to the local one.

"But Human life is one of the most sacred things there is! Human life is like finding needle in rice bin, or dropping a pin from the heavens and having it land on another pin! Human life is incredibly rare compared to all the animals that live on Earth! Just think about how out-numbered we are just by the insects of world! Not too mention humans are the only race able to reach enlightenment!" Heno ranted obviously appalled by the thought of Shara's world.

Spoiler: If Cybil hasn't gotten off the boat yet

Robin offered t hand to Cybil, helping her setp up onto the dock.

Robin looked at the cratered city, impressed. "Quite expansive."

 

[Silence]

"Well, do they reign here? I've thought you have to meet ministers and diplomats to reign, or are they just sitting around doing nothing?"

 

[Chungus]

"Temples are structures like that, I assume?" Timea asked, twisting her torso a little, and pointing towards the sword, then turning back towards the man.

"Of course, but they don't let just anyone in to see them. The crown prince was killed a couple of months ago, after all." the woman replied. "And even before then, you needed some kind of business with them."

"That's what temples of Calibeth look like, at least."

 

[Chungus]

At the man's reply, Timea let out a small, confirmatory "hmm", then added, "Well, I'm sure I can have most other questions answered at this temple, so two more for you; Where would I go to learn more about the farms, here, and would this place, or the temple be closer by?"

 

[Silence]

"Now and why would I state my businees to someone around here I just asked about them because I'm blind? Can you lead me to a person I could state my business to?"

Anik said impatiently. She felt Aqua behind her.

The woman sighed and led Anik to the guards at the front gate of the palace. "Talk to them." she said, before walking off.

"Well, you could ask a farmer." the man said. "I guess they would be closer, since we're still at the edge of the city."

"The whole city is in a giant crater." Robin told Matilda, then started walking into it.

You glance over at Heno and chuckle to yourself before replying; [color=0066cc]"Not where I come from. Like I said before, there are trillions of humans in my home galaxy, spread out across hundreds of worlds and stations. Blood has been spilt for any cause imaginable. It's not something to be proud of, sure, but it's just the way things are."[/color]

Anik spoke to the guards, first asking them if they had heard something about people arriving from other worlds.

 

[Demonjazz]

"Surely among all of those stars there must be life! Even if it is just spirits, and demons!"

 

[Chungus]

"I already did, but the one I spoke to couldn't tell me much", Timea responded, then shrugged slightly. "Ah, maybe I'll have better luck at a later date. Either way, thank you for your time. Have a nice day." After giving the man a smile, Timea turned away, and began heading towards the temple of Calibeth.

As Timea approached the temple, she would see Anik, in front of the doors on the southern side of the building.

The guards informed Anik that they had heard of no such thing.

[Silence]

"Well, now I will inform you that there have been people arriving here. Strange people, with unclear intentions. But I think it's best that your regent will get the information. I know about some of these people in detail, but this is dangerous knowledge, and not for the ears of average people.
Magic is involved."

Well, fuck. Anik thought as she sensed Timea in proximity.
