"By the way, what is this troupe? I'm assuming it's you, Jane, Homer, and a few other people? Do any of you have any ideas as to what this world is? I see we're in a village of some sort."

"Don't lump us together just because we happen to be in the same place." Jane said to Emily as she glared at Jack still. Homer tried to get her to calm down, but she just smacked him over the head, shutting him up.

Jack rubbed his jaw, and laughed somewhat nervously. "heh, well, I figure I wouldn't yap quite as well. I don't doubt you'd knock my lights out quite easily either."

Jack seemed to raise his eyes to the heavens as he thought. "Well, we've got the Crime Fighter Heno, veteran arrival Shara, Engineer Homer, the two really strange folks Topaz and Aquamarine, our sweet soldier Jane, myself and you! if you're willing to join, that is. Thats all the folks I know right now. Might have missed a few while I was nappin."

Jack scratched his chin. "As to the rest of your questions, I know we're in Kairisi lands, who are a group of merchants as honest as myself. So I've been told anyway. Theres some fishing this village done, and I've only seen folks with swords. But I've only seen one person with a sword, so thats a bit of a limited suggestion. I know that sea out across from us is called the boiling sea. and the old man seemed to believe it used to be a bit more fitting under its name than it is now. thats about all I- oh! Shara has a hook for a hand, but its just a hook for a hand. that's about the best we'd manage back home, but who knows if that's true elsewhere."

Jack took a breath. "that's about all I know. Can't think of much else."

 

[Slenn]

"My apologies." She put her hands behind her back and cleared her throat. "Well, it does seem to be that all of us are in a place that we don't belong to, judging by the appearance of our surroundings in contrast to the attire of the people that I see around me. And all of us were transported here one way or another. That is something that we at least have in common. Unless you're natives of this world, which doesn't appear to be the case."

EMily listened to Jack as she nodded in acknowledgement.
"Hmmm... that does sound like a pretty random assortment of people. Well, you've been most informative. Thank you."

The intelligence probe was recording the journey.

'Well I'm happy to provide such information to a lovely lady such as yourself. Now, if you'll excuse me, I was walking over to see what all the commotion was about." with that, Jack turned to Homer. "So, why did yelling wake me up from a perfectly good nap?" he asked.

"...because it's hard to sleep through people arguing?" Homer replied, confused by the question.

"okay. Fair answer. Now why were people yelling?" Jack asked, trying to rub sleep from his eyes.

"The rock woman thought this other person was a shapeshifter, and that made her angry. " Homer paraphrased

"Uh... huh. which person was the shapeshifter? and why would it matter?" Jack asked, feeling that special brand of tired when you're dealing with someone who picks a fight regardless of the sense behind it.

Homer only shrugged.

"The whole thing was stupid and pointless. " Jane added.

 

[FPSfanatic]

"You're telling me Lady Jane. Hell, and now we got folks at each others necks? Its the middle of the night. Could have kept this off till morning and not suffered for it a mite. Jack sighed, kicking his feet.

Matilda followed Homer and Jane over to EMily and Jack, having recognised EMily's voice. After listening to Jack's summary, she said, [color=006d5b]"Well, I guess I'm definitely not on Earth. This should be interesting..."[/color]

 

[Silence]

Speedy followed Matilda. As soon as he spotted the probe, he got excited.

Standing on his hind legs, he began inspecting the ball, but he could not make out what it said on the side.

"Hey, are you a machine, or is there someone sitting inside you? Do you have any fuel? Have you seen my glasses?"

 

[Slenn]

EMily waved over to Matilda. Ah! A familiar face! She smiled happily.

"I am a Magic Eye robotic probe. The only fuel I have are the solar charged ion batteries within my chassis."

"What do your glasses look like?" She said, turning back to Speedy. "And, may I ask your name?"

OOC: Gonna take a shower here in a bit.

 

[Silence]

"I'm Xzxrzx, but you can call me Speedy. My glasses look like ... glasses with black frames? They're nothing special, but I need them.

And you are a robot? And using solar batteries? That's quite advanced. I should develop something like that. There doesn't seem to be any real fuel around here. But I hope, plenty of sun. This world doesn't smell of fume, like mine does."

 

[Slenn]

While the Magic Eye was conversing with Speedy, EMily adjusted her eyes to take in near infrared light for night vision. She searched the ground nearby.

"As I said, I am robot. A solar cell on my top exposes itself to sunlight should it be available. It will charge my batteries." It said, not really giving away any emotion.

"I think I found them." EMily said, reaching downward and picking the glasses up. She walked over to Speedy and handed them over. "Where exactly are you from?"

@silence. You should describe what Speedy looks like.

Matilda didn't react to EMily waving, as she was unable to see the motion. However, Matilda acknowledged EMily's presence, saying, [color=006d5b]"Hey EMily. How've you and your sisters been?"[/color]

 

[Slenn]

"Well, after we got sucked back into our own timeline, we continued our efforts to figure out how to restore the life on other planets that was consumed by our former threat, the Dark Being. We have a few plausible solutions, but everyone's on edge because most, if not all, of the ideas are a one-time deal. If they fail, they cannot be executed again."

 

[Silence]

The white, 18 cm big Speedy (standing on his hind legs, EMily could see that he had some kind of device with different little buttons on his waist, and some metal on his feet, which mostly was covered by his thick fur) took the glasses and put them on.

"Ahh, much better. Thank you.

Where am I from? Well, from a world called world. I didn't know there were more worlds. And that humans still lived. We got some of their technology while building our incredibly scientific lairs, after they went extinct. I'm from lair 254."

 

[Kirke]

You glare at Robin for a moment as he stops you, though you're not sure how he did it. Turning around, you walk back towards your hut, sheathing your knife. However, on the way you spot EMily, and decide to greet her instead. As you approach, you speak up. [color=0066cc]"Well met EMily! I did not expect to ever see you again."[/color] - You say, and at a closer look you think you recognize the blind woman as well, though you can't quite pin down her name.
