[color=9f2089]"What? No! I wasn't adopted!"[/color] Cybil sounded rather indignant at Heno's insinuation.

Robin opened his mouth to reply, but thought. He couldn't remember his past, so for all he knew he could have had two mothers. "I... Honestly don't know. But I do know that I was born of a mother and father. Probably." He added on the probably because he wasn't sure of that now either. "It sounds like your race can reproduce with two women, but with humans it requires a man and a woman unless there are special circumstances." He wrote all this down, then focused on Cybil, trying to see if there was any clues as to how this worked on her person.

[color=9f2089]"Doesn't hafta be two women, but it is most of the time, yeah."[/color] Cybil said with a shrug to Robin. Robin wouldn't immediately find any physical features indicating Cybil wasn't human apart from her ears and tail, which were in full view as she had elected to take her cloak off in the humid swamp since she apparently no longer had to worry about getting sent to Ye Olde Medieval Fantasy Concentration Camp.

[color=9f2089]"When it's just two humans, sure. But my parents weren't both human."[/color] She pointed out to Heno.

"If'n ya'll need that cactus ta be harder, ah kin help with that." Sibylla offered.

 

[Chungus]

At Hillary's mention she was feeling off, Timea looked down to her with some concern, blowing a mute sigh once she saw Hillary changing substance. "Not quite, no. It would be more like... a flask", she answered Hillary's question.

At Sibylla's suggestion, Timea let out a humm, then said, "Well, while turning it to stone would help with that, it would also make it too heavy to carry for you girls, especially when it's filled with water. So that's not the best solution."

Timea then approached the cactus, and brought her ear close to it, then knocked on its trunk with the knuckle of her index finger.

"Amazing..." Robin furiously wrote down yuri fanfic research notes. "Are there other animal people?"

[color=9f2089]"Wait, you don't know who your parents are? Aww, that's so sad."[/color] Cybil said sympathetically to Robin. [color=9f2089]"But yeah, there's other kinds of people where we live. Like sheep and wolves."[/color]

Sibylla looked dejected at not being able to contribute anything.

 

[Chungus]

After getting an idea of how thick the cactus trunk was, Timea crouched down, grew a talon from her finger. With this, Timea began slicing off the spines, getting multiple ones at a time with a downwards motion. "While I'm cutting these needles off, why don't you girls begin digging it up?" she suggested, then looked towards Sibylla specifically.

"By the way, Sibylla", she began, saying her name for Sibylla's benefit. "How did you get that food you got?"

[color=FFCC33]"I don't even have parents..."[/color] Topaz said with feigned sadness.

 

[Demonjazz]

"I am guessing I had parents... I was adopted though so is possible I was gifted from heavens. Wouldn't be first time something happened like that."

"I don't even remember if I have parents. I'm not saddened by it though. I guess that's an advantage; you can't mourn for someone you don't remember." Robin sounded solemn, writing down the other species that inhabited Cybil's world.

 

[Silence]

"I have parents. And 28 siblings!" Speedy threw in.

Anik slept peacefully and would probably be glad not having to mention anything.

"Twenty eight?!"

 

[Outisakanobody]

"He's a rodent. What do you expect?" Jane said to Robin.

 

[Gearhead mk2]

"...fair point." Robin admitted to Jane.

 

[Silence]

"Yes, and all natural! My parents were on an organic trip!"

 

[Slenn]

"Do you remember your siblings' names?" EMily said, laughing.

 

[Silence]

"Yes!" and Speedy started to list a number of incomprehensible names. Some of them seemed to exist double or triple, but he didn't mind.
"That's all of them! Should I list my cousins, also?"

"...could you repeat all that?" Robin asked, not catching the names.

 

[Demonjazz]

"Really, I only had one adopted sister... Well really me, and everyone at the dojo were really a family..." Tears welled up in Heno's eyes a little. "... But... We had to part ways so to speak."
