Anik was startled by Querys voice suddenly coming from behind her, so she did not respond (she also did not know she was addressed). Nearly jumping, she calmed herself again, and listened to the talk. Why is this thing following us? she thought.
"That's a real problem. Maybe we could let one of us get arrested, by performing magic ... maybe it will lead us somewhere. If we don't have better ideas, I would however suggest that we first find out about the old gods, before taking such a step."
