The guard committed the descriptions to memory, muttering the key details under his breath to make sure he didn't forget.

"Well, there's the old church. That place would probably have some books on the subject." the man replied.

Caedryn walked around the machine, looking at it closely, examining the various parts. "So, what defensive capabilities does this thing have?" he asked.

 

[Slenn]

"It's just that the country we're in currently is so large and religion is a powerful force. Now, I'm only speculating here, but it would seem the most natural thing for there to be only one sun. Different cultures have different standards. The elves lived in the woods after all, so they probably didn't have the need to worship the sun. They were focused on what was going on within the forest." She paused and sighed. "But what do you mean that they 'did not care'?"

 

[Chungus]

Vala - Day 1 - 10:10 AM​

After asking to be excused, Ultron took a few steps into the city, and stood against a wall while controlling drone #1.

Vala, Yeager's house - Day 1 - 10:10 AM​

"Back in the swamp, You said you said you were attacked by a blind woman, right?

Ultron questioned through the drone, it moving to the edge of the tunnel, looking down in it.

"What did she look like?"

Village - Day 2 - 18:56 PM​

Timea looked at the villager with a mildly confused expression, asking, "What is a church?"

Throughout the journey, you keep a sharp lookout. Experience has taught you that doing otherwise can be a fatal mistake, and one you don't intend to make. The cold gets to you however; by the time you look up at the marble city you hardly feel your left arm anymore and you look forward to the warmth inside.

Yeager's Mystery Shack
"Hm? Ah, lets see, she is a fairly young woman, light brown hair, an ornate purple blindfold, with some pretty fancy clothes to match... vhy do you ask?"

Femesh Daer
Yeager grabbed Caedryn by the shoulders and pulled him back a bit. "Vell, you heard him, show us vhat you can do!" said Yeager as he unfolded his weapon and swung the scythe into the ground next to one of the robots legs. Panels on the wider cylindrical parts of each leg split, folded out into blades, and spun around, hitting his scythe with a loud clang. "If that vas a leg, it would be gone now."

While Yeager demonstrated the saw legs, one of the mooks had been forming a large snowball. When the saw leg demonstration was finished, he tossed the snowball into the air in front of the mech, who raised its twin machine-gun arms and blasted it into oblivion, firing energy blasts instead of bullets.

"This is just a prototype, mind you, a finished version vill have more functions."

Vala, Yeager's house - Day 1 - 10:10 AM​

Hearing Yeager's description of Anik, Ultron noted it wasn't Matilda that was the attacker, but it still carried a grudge against her. Having seen Anik, it also knew who Yeager was talking about.

"I'm reporting the group of invaders she's part of. You should report this woman's attempted murder, while I'm at it. The more dirt that piles up here, the better"

, Ultron explained.

"I'm at the city gates."

"Oh, a church is what the old religion's buildings are called. It's the thing on the hill, with the spire." he explained, pointing at the building in question.

Caedryn watched the demonstration, clearly impressed and a little startled by the unexpected blasts of energy.. "What other functions would you be able to add?" he asked.

Mathan Daer

The caravan would head through the city, dropping off its supplies at a marketplace. The caravaneer then handed Rebecca, Alain, Shara and the other guard a few silver coins, stamped with a wolf head on one side and a human head in profile on the other. He would then direct all of them to a local inn, where they could rest and warm up.

 

[Gearhead mk2]

"A library of magic..." Robin looked awed. "Thanks Speedy. I'll look for Ana. If I can get in there somehow, maybe I can find something useful."

 

[Silence]

"... You are probably right. Still, the elves told about the sun getting blue days before ... that's what we experienced in the desert. And then ignored further things.
One thing I still find odd is the incoming war between Vesh and Cali ... how is this land called again? Anyways, if we were right with the theory that the sun and the descendants of Calibeth are related, the Vesh actively tried ... well, they killed one of them.
All these dots, but not one of them really connected ... Vesh would probably our last bet, if we don't learn enough before."

"I can go with you, then I can introduce you to her!" Speedy said, excited.

 

[Furioso]

Yeagers House
"Hmm, perhaps. To be honest I see no real reason to. I'm more mad at her and her little cohort for running off early than anything. Vhy are you so angry at them?" asked Yeager.

Femesh Daer

"Oh who knows, this project is barely half completed to be honest. I mean just look at the top of it! So much room to put... something there, but vhat! The possibilities are endless!"

Caedryn would probably notice that the other crate was much bigger than the one the robot had come out of.

Village - Day 2 - 18:57 PM​

Timea looked to the direction the villager pointed at. "Oh, I see." Looking back to the villager, she then asked, "But that place is by all rights falling apart. Why keep the records, there?"

Vala, Yeager's house - Day 1 - 10:11 AM​

"Because first, they attacked me on sight, and then yesterday, when I was investigating the sun's disappearance, turned hostile to me [i]again![/i]"

, Ultron explained with a small snarl to its voice.

"I'm not happy letting loose cannons like that walk around free, something needs to be done about it."

 

[Gearhead mk2]

"Thank you." Robin smiled to Speedy. "I just need to tell the others where I'm going." He headed into the bathhouse, putting Speedy down if he so wished.

 

[Furioso]

Yeagers House
"Oh fine fine fine I'm on my vay." said Yeager as he left to go to the city gates.

 

[Slenn]

"There's a lot of missing pieces of information that are either not yet explained or refuse to be explained. Somehow I feel that bringing the sun back is just a small part of something much greater."

"Well, we don't really use it to keep records. It's just there are probably old books up there that nobody needs." the man explained. "We don't have any reason to bring them back down."

"I see. And what about this other crate?" Caedryn asked, indicating the larger container.

 

[Silence]

Vala - Day 2 - 21:30

"You might be right about that. I'm not even sure if bringing the exact same sun back would be a good idea. After all, the god tried to conquer the world." Anik said, and leaned back, to wait for the others to finish their bathing. At this point, she heard and sensed Robin coming in:
"Robin! You are late. I heard you talking with the little Speedy thing. Did you have some new revelation?"

Speedy, conveniently, waited outside, for Robin to come back.

 

[Outisakanobody]

"The vesh are the animal people right?" Jane asked for certification.

"I Wonder if they even have coal..." Homer pondered as he went into the bathhouse.

"Hmm. I see. Well, one last question: There are other settlements like this around the general area, do you think any of them would have more detailed records?"

Vala, Yeager's house - Day 1 - 10:11 AM​

After Yeager left his home, Ultron had the drone back its back to the wall again. It wondered who Anik's accomplice was that Yeager mentioned, but left that for later.

Vala - Day 1 - 10:11 AM​

With Yeager on his way, Ultron moved back to the guard at the gate.

"Right. That checked out. My companion should be on his way to give his testimony, shortly. As for the rest of the descriptions... ."

Ultron then went on to describe the rest of the group, including Mochán.

"...And that's all of them."

 

[Gearhead mk2]

"The northern part of town apparnelty has some great library of magic, and someone who may be willing to help. Speedy thinks he can get me in. I'm going to have a look for anything useful." Robin told the others, putting his coat back on.

 

[Slenn]

"Yes, they are." She said to Jane.

EMily gathered her towel quickly as soon as she heard someone come in.

"I might join you, Robin. I'd love to do some research." She said, moving onto some changing rooms. Her clothing process was nearly instantaneous thanks to her clothing capsules.
