The guard glared at the delivery man, then marched off, leaving behind the check on the ground, burning slowly. Ana sighed, then offered Robin a book. "Here, take this."

Beak back away from Robin "Sorry, I got overly excited."

Robin took the book from Ana. "This is on sky metal I presume?"

Later...
Robin smiled as Beak licked him, but was a bit grossed out. When the dinosaur backed off, he refocused. He held out his hands above the blades, charging up power, then laid his hands on their runes. There was a red flash. When it subsided, he stood, holding the swords. "Anik, done."

"where to now?" beak said as he sat like a dog on the ground

 

[Silence]

Outside Vala - Day 2 - 23:00

Anik held out her hands, so Robin could place the swords there. "Thank you." she said, "Now you can teach me how to use them ... uhm ... is there a good target here, where shooting something not exactly precise would not do much damage?"

Jane would wait for Emily to walkaway from the door, then say: "I don't like that guy. He's all kinds of shady."

"He could be really dangerous with the weapons he's capable of building." Homer offered.

"There's a village to the North. Some our companions said they'd meet us there." Robin told Beak, then gave Anik the swords and looked for a tree stump or something she could practice on.

"let us set forth and find that sun and then find my herd" Beak said as he ran forth hitting a building and launching his head into the wall "maybe I should take it a little bit slower." he said as he pulled his head out of the wall.

"Of course he's shady. But he's only a merchant, where his biggest weapon is his wit. As long as we can see through his lies, we'll have no problem countering whatever other weapon he may have in stock."

Robin sighed and went over to Beak. "Let us take the lead, OK?"

"ok then I'll follow your lead." beak said as he shook the dirt off his head

Robin would find a tree stump near the road.

The Present... I think?
The delivery man followed, Robin and the others as they walked out of the city. After about ten minutes he started humming a little tune with snippets of lyrics throughout it under his breath [sub]"I would walk five hundred miles"[/sub]

Robin bowed to Ana. "Thank you. I hope we meet again some day."

Presently...
Robin walked behind the stump, then called to Anik. "Alright, there's a stump in front of me. Aim at me, then down slightly. Tell me when you're about to fire and I'll move."

 

[Silence]

Anik was not really sure how Robin meant it, but did as he said.
First, she pointed one sword directly in the direction of his heart, then she lowered the tip slightly.
"Is that right? What do I do now?" she called.

 

[Gearhead mk2]

"Concentrate on that spot, hold up your blade with the tip pointing to the sky, then swing down."

 

[Silence]

"All right. You better get away from there." Anik said as she concentrated on the blank spot somewhere beneath Robins heart. Then she raised her weapon upwards and waited for Robin to move.

 

[Outisakanobody]

"Tch, screw that guy and his wit. See how he handles a machine gun in his face." Jane said with a scoff.

Robin moved out of the way. "Alright, do it."

 

[Silence]

Anik swung down her sword with all her might, and shouted "FIRE!"
After a short moment, she asked "Did it work?"
