Anik followed, and answered, curiously: "Why is it not an option? We are even allowed to hunt these goats. But, I guess, I can buy some meat, too. Even though it is not something I would eat myself in other circumstances ... I have to watch my money now." She wrinkled her nose at the thought of eating the lowest quality meat again.

"And what makes you think we were involved, hmm?" the fox asked, curiously. The bear stayed quiet, brushing wet fur out of his eyes.

"I can sense magic. The spell you just cast is similar to the magic in that cloud."

Veketta - Day 5 - 19:56​

"I honestly don't care about any laws on hunting. The issue is that goats are too small for me to bother hunting. Unless I can catch... seven or eight of them at once, I wouldn't get enough out of it", Timea said in a somewhat hushed voice, before continuing at normal speaking levels. "With that said, we could catch some prey, and buy meat to... accommodate the rest of my needs. That should save a little of your money."

After saying this, Timea jokingly said, "This would also set the right example. Buying things all the time defeats the purpose of learning how to be self-sufficient, after all~"

"Interesting... well, in that case, you must know I had nothing to do with that cloud." the fox replied. "It was my friend here, wasn't it?"
The bear looked down at the fox briefly, then at Robin. "Yes, that was me. And the cloud will stay." he said.

Veketta - Day 5 - 19:56

"Too small? We have to get out of this region fast, then, we can't sustain this for more than a few days." Anik answered. "Well, we can do that. Honestly, I rather have the hunted meat, anyways..."

Veketta - Day 5 - 19:57​

"I know, I know", Timea said as she began walking back to the city gate through which they came, at a pace somewhat above normal walking speed, eager to get away from the rain cloud. "I mentioned before that I don't belong in this area, I didn't mean that from just an ethical standpoint."

Once outside the city, Timea began heading back towards the mountain. While walking, she asked, "you know why I'm against farm meat, for the most part, but why are you?"

Veketta - Day 5 - 19:57

Anik followed Timea closely and had therefore no problems, even though she realized that the rain was messing with her senses. "I know, I've seen what happens to you without the blanket." she responded.

She was very glad to escape the rain cloud as well, and started clicking again, after the rain had vanished, not wasting her energy on doing it before. "I doubt you like the answer, but the meat we bought was barely edible for me. I'm not against farm meat per se, I just rather not eat this stuff more than I have to."

Veketta - Day 5 - 19:58​

"I actually agree. But, I do so, not because the quality of the meat, per sé, but rather the cause behind it. Meaning the usage of creatures as products - products that can be made cheaper by giving them poor food, by letting them have barely, if any exercise. It goes against the natural order, and it's noticeable." After speaking, Timea let out a dismayed, "feh!" before pausing, and adding, "That's another reason why I disapprove of farm meat. It offends me more than any wastefulness, really."

 

[Silence]

Veketta - Day 5 - 19:58

"Hmm. I don't know if I understand what you mean with the natural order completely ... but I think I understand that no creature should be imprisoned." Anik said, after thinking about it a little bit. "Do you see some place we could use to stay for the night?" she added, getting tired of carrying bag and cane around.

Robin held his hand out to Beak. "It's alright. Just someone talking with us. Our friend here," he gestured to the bear, "took care of it. Thank you." he said to the bear.

 

[Slenn]

EMily didn't flinch as the lightning came down, but braced herself. Winona did however flinch and jump to the side.

When it was all over, Winona took a few deep breaths to calm herself down.

"Well that was a thing..."

Robin noticed Winona's breathing. "Are you alright?"

<color=green>"Yeah, I'm fine. My ears are still ringing though."

"For a second I thought you were afraid of lightning. Which would be... unfortunate with me and tour sister around." Robin said sheepishly.

 

[Slenn]

<color=green>"Have you never gotten startled by lightning? Flash! BOOOM!" She said, flailing her arms. <color=green>"At least EMily has the excuse that she can predict when and where lightning strikes."

"You can do that?" Robin asked the older Mason.

 

[Slenn]

"Yes, I can. Lightning begins as a concentration of electric charge in clouds. This creates an electric field that polarizes the ground. This polarization makes it easy to spot where it might strike."

Robin thought this over for a second, understanding it. "Interesting." He flipped open his tome, looking to the Thunder spell. "Perhaps I can apply that somehow..."
