Veketta Area - Day 5 - 20:01​

Taking a step back after flicking Anik, Timea reignited the blanket.

"One moment", Timea announced, deciding it would be best to keep Anik alert for a while longer. She pouted her lips and shone down a thin beam of sunlight onto Anik's face. Though not fully, this healed her feet by a fair amount, and reinvigorated her by a small amount. "There, that should keep you awake for a while longer. I'm not doing more, or it would make a mess of your "internal clock". And that's no good, is it?"

With this said, Timea continued walking towards the mountain again.

 

[Silence]

Veketta Area - Day 5 - 20:01

"Thank you." Anik said, when she felt the beam of sunlight, even though she wondered why Timea did help her in such an "unnatural" way.

"No, that's no good. Even though I don't really have an internal clock, anyways ... not much to tell what time it is when I don't sleep outside." She omitted the fact that she had trouble sleeping, anyways, and it had messed up her timing for years.

As Timea walked towards the mountain, Anik followed. As the land became more rocky, she began stumbling quite a bit, before grudgingly beginning to use her cane again, to feel her way.

Veketta - Day 5

"I see... I'll be sure to mention that." the fox replied, stating the second sentence more quietly, obviously speaking to himself.

"Mention it? Are you here for the meeting?" Robin asked.

Veketta Area - Day 5 - 20:02​

"You don't need to sleep outside in order to have an internal clock, it's just something your body does, regardless of where you are. I think so, at least", Timea commented, then paused for a moment. "But with that said, I have absolutely no clue as to what time of day it is. I've never been good at keeping track of time, and the lack of a day-night cycle certainly doesn't help."

 

[Silence]

Veketta Area - Day 5 - 20:02

"Well, I can't really help you there. It probably is day ... well, kind of, judging by the amount of business in the city. But what time of day? I can only rule out the morning. How long did we walk?" Anik said.

 

[Chungus]

Veketta Area - Day 5 - 20:03​

"I have no idea~!" Timea exclaimed in a sing-song tone. "The only thing I can really be sure of is that it's still the same day, otherwise I would have become hungry, earlier." After saying this, Timea considered telling something, but realising this could open a door that could lead things becoming too personal, didn't.

Instead, she said, "Speaking of food; With your limited energy, we shouldn't climb the mountain to search for a goat, it's a treacherous hunting ground. Let's just try catching you a hare, instead. I smell one nearby, now." She stopped momentarily to sniff the air, focusing on the scent of the hare, then began following it.

Veketta - Day 5

"Oh, yes, I am. I'm Ferren Mallas'Bri Vetrine'Rah, the leader of the Vetrine'Rah clan." he stated, pointing at the fox head pendant on his belt. He then pointed at the bear and said, "This is my personal guard."
"Pevetta Vemotta'Bri Ketra'Rah." the bear said, glancing over to Robin.

It wouldn't take long for Timea to get close to the hare, which was out in the open, and sniffing the air.

Robin gave a bow. "Nice to meet you. I was hoping we could enter the meeting, deliver the news from Calibeth in person."

 

[Silence]

Veketta Area - Day 5 - 20:03

Anik made a mental note that Timea seemed to have hunger based on the time of day. Otherwise, she followed Timea closely, after she had said they should catch a hare. After a short time, Anik even realized what heart it was that Timea was after. She pulled out her dagger, but waited until Timea would give her a signal.

 

[Chungus]

Veketta Area - Day 5 - 20:03​

Spotting the hare, Timea suddenly stopped, and turned off the flames. In a whisper, she instructed Anik to stop, also.
In case the hare was facing away from them, Timea would crouch down, and instruct Anik to do the same.

"I can see it, not too far away. Can you sense it?" she asked, whispering. "Point in the direction you think it's in, but keep arm movement to a minimum."

"pleasure to meet you" The Doctor said as he bowed.

"Hi" Beak said to them.

 

[Silence]

Veketta Area - Day 5 - 20:03

Stopping, Anik whispered "Yes." and pointed the tip of the dagger in the direction of the heart she sensed.

 

[Chungus]

Veketta Area - Day 5 - 20:04​

"Very good", Timea said, confirmed Anik was right. "Now... , on my mark, approach it by about... twenty paces. Move slowly, and stay close to the ground. When you hear or sense movement, stay perfectly still.

After these paces, break into a run, and chase it. I suggest using your bag as a makeshift net, as the chances of catching it with your bare hands is slim, at best.

Any questions?"

If Anik didn't have any questions, Timea would wait for the hare to look away, then give the go ahead for her to move.

 

[Silence]

Veketta Area - Day 5 - 20:04

"No questions." Anik responded, and put the dagger away. Leaving her cane on the ground, and moving the bag in a position where she could use it as a net, she waited for Timea to give the go ahead, while she concentrated all her hearing on the place where she sensed the hare.

She slowly approached the hare, stopping and holding her breath when she heard something, and continuing to move when she heard nothing.

"Well, they're open to the public, when they start at least. I'm sure they others would like to hear current news from the Empire." the fox said.

Timea and Anik's well-timed movements meant they were not spotted by the hare.

Veketta Area - Day 5 - 20:04

As she had sneaked 20 paces, Anik broke into the run, trying to catch the hare as fast as possible, so as to not having to chase it more than necessary. As she was, in her mind, near enough to the heart, she leapt forward, and tried to pull the bag over it.

"Good. We heard it would be starting tomorrow, is that correct?" Robin asked.

Veketta - Day 5

"Yes, assuming the other clan leaders are hear by tonight." the fox replied, nodding.

Anik would be able to successfully capture the hare as it tried to flee, causing it to struggle and try to break free of the bag.

Veketta Area - Day 5 - 20:04​

Timea silently remained in place as Anik began stalking the rabbit, but reignited the flames of the blanket once she broke out into a sprint.

"Excellent work!" Timea cheered once Anik caught the rabbit, standing up and approaching Anik. "Now, before getting him out at the bag, you should hold the hare down against the ground, to keep him from throwing himself around like that."
