Magic Eye's infrared laser recorded a 3D image of the two men.

EMily listened in on the conversation, as did Winona.

Veketta - Day 5

"It depends what you mean by 'large scale'. Stars fall all the time; it's where sky-metal comes from." Ferren replied.
Pevetta turned his attention back to the Doctor and said, "Well, do you know where to look?"

Magic Eye would be able to record an image of the bear, but attempting to record a 3D image of the fox would lead to inconsistent data regarding his position. Specifically, he would appear to be a metre or so to the left of where the others would see him.

"In that case, no, not to my knowledge." Ferren replied.
The bear groaned and said to the Doctor. "Well, you're useless."

"Well head to a campsite, first, bury your meal to keep it safe, and head into the city, afterwards. I'm sorry if I didn't make this clear", Timea clarified.

As she walked, Timea considered asking about Anik's emotional state, but decided to keep off on doing so, thinking the time of day wasn't right to start a charged conversation like that. Instead, after a moment of thinking what else to talk about, asked, "hmm. What do you think we'll find, in the north?"

"I have no idea." Anik answered. "Aside from the ice fields, and a different type of Vesh'Rah ... I don't know why the moon goddess would want us there. Maybe a way to better communicate with her? Or ... maybe there is some specific place further to the north, where magic is strongest, or a holy site? But I still have no idea what exactly could be there. I hope for answers, how it was possible to land in this world, and how to travel to others ... and in what state this world is in."

"Those are all possibilities. I think a place where the magic is strongest is the most likely, however", Timea chimed in, then paused. "It was said this world used to be the arm of the goddess, no? So maybe then this area is where the arm used to be connected to the shoulder.

If sky-metal indeed are the remains of gods, perhaps this place is a great deposit of it. It would make sense why the ground and waters are warm, this way - The metal could have reacted to the magic of this Pevetta, and retained the heat ever since."

After giving her theory, Timea paused once more, then let out a single chuckle. "This is all conjecture, of course."

"I thought it was just Vesh, that was the limb of the goddess ... but I don't know, I might have gotten it wrong. Anyhow, it does not matter for your theory.

Still, this ice should have melted probably, if it was a normal kind of flame magic. Maybe it could be this way ... but I can't really wrap my mind around it. And I asked several times if the magic and the gods have a connection - aside from the sky metal being considered gods when it is in the sky, I don't see one.
Or it will answer our question about the connection, after all."
Anik said, all the speculation starting to give her a headache. "I will try to remember your theory."

Femesh Daer - Day 4

As Rebecca and Shara entered Femesh Daer, they would see a few guards around the gates, and on the walls. On the north edge of the city were the docks, the ships' masts visible over the buildings. When they entered the city, one of the guards glanced at Shara's hand, a curious expression on his face.

"I suppose it was only a matter of time before one of the two killed the other, though." the fox commented.

"But at what cost..." Robin mused, then looked to the fox and the bear. "I think it would be best if we held the remainder of this conversation for later, at the meeting for all to hear. Agreed?."

"Those are good points. I suppose we'll find out, come tomorrow. Or at the very least, get a step closer to doing so. It does have me curious, however."

Timea stopped walking, and looked around. "Either way, this is as good a place as any to use as resting grounds. I'll get started on digging the hole. Once I've broken through the hard and fast bit, you can finish digging." Crouching down, Timea began digging, alternating between using her right and left arms to sweep the dirt away, while her claws helped get through the frozen soil.

While digging, Timea asked, "Vaguely related to the previous topic: What do you think of the impending war?"

Femesh Daer - Day 4
You notice the guard glance at you, and though you keep calm you suspect that they've been informed about you. Soon after entering the city, you quietly tell Matilda that the guard looked at you funny, and that you should split up just in case. You then briskly walk through the city towards the docks with your arms crossed to hide your hook.

As Timea began digging, Anik crouched down as well, placed her cane on the ground and felt for a spot she deemed clean enough to place the meat there for the time of digging. She then began cleaning her hands on some grass, even though this was useless.

"It does seem quite senseless. Calibeth is dead, I don't know what the Vesh are worried about - and I'm not sure they are powerful enough to defeat this empire, even if it is weakened.
So it seems like it will come to a lot of killing, and nobody will be wiser at the end.

... but ultimately, it is not something we can do much about. I just don't understand it. It seems like these people do not want to fight for a better life for themselves, but rather because of revenge - for something that happened a long time ago.
In another case, maybe I would try to do something about it - but we have our own quest, and it does seem like the people are more the pawns of the gods, anyways - and we want to talk to the gods."

Femesh Daer - Day 4

Rebecca nodded, and ducked into a building as she walked past. Shara would likely spot the guard tailing her, keeping his distance for now.

"Agreed." the fox said, before walking away with the bear following closely.
