"Huh ... maybe I'll try it then." Anik said in response of the eating of the tongue. "Yes, I would not really wash it this way, always, anyways. I will remember.
Alright, I will do it this way."

She prepared a fire, by drawing the rune in the earth, then cooked up a leg, and the tongue, after cutting them off. She prepared it in silence, and tried to deduce if the meat was cooked by smell, sound and touch. As it was done, she tried the tongue, and even though it seemed a little bit overcooked to her, she did not dislike it. After, she gnawed on the leg, deciding it tasted a lot like earth, but eating it anyways.

Throwing the bone next to her, she laid herself on the back, and waited until TImea had finished eating. She thought for a while, and said, after: "If these leaders of Vesh decide to go to war against Calibeth, do you think it could mean trouble for us? War has a tendency to cause quite a stir."

Yeager had at first thought Rebecca might be a spy, but at this point she was being too conspicuous to be one. "..You have a spider on your chest...? Vell in any case, I can tell you aren't "from" here, so vhat brings you to Femesh Daer? Or is this where... the universe, I guess, dumped you?"

Veketta Area - Day 6 - 07:33

Timea continued eating her own meal as Anik prepared and ate hers, occasionally catching herself eating more quickly than she should, and slowing down.

When Anik asked what future affairs might hold, Timea thought for a moment. "It depends on if we need to return to Calibeth, after this. For one, I do doubt there would be private ships sailing there, so I may need to fly back and forth twice to get everyone back", Timea began to answer, shuddering a little at the thought. "It's possible Vesh would target temples in an effort to stamp out Calibeth's history, which would destroy good sources of information.

If not, however, people may become more hostile towards you, with the likelyhood of fringe groups assaulting you. This would obviously make things more complicated than they need to be. But that is all the trouble I foresee. Other than this... it's too soon too say."

Anik frowned, ever so deeply, as Timea talked. "Flying twice is too exhausting for you, I think. We should try something different, if we need to go back to Calibeth. Maybe a ship to this other country, how is it called?

And people assaulting me ... if it comes to that, let's at least hope they don't appear out of nowhere. And send ... robots, after us. I should be able to deal with the rest. Let us hope it does not come this way, then."

After speaking, she stood up, and began stretching herself. "I want to experience this warm ice without interference. We have enough on our plate with figuring out what all this means."

Femesh Daer - Day 4
You think about surrendering for a moment, before replying; "Yeah, no. There's no damn way I'll be stuck on this piece of rock for years. Especially if I have to waste those years sitting in a prison cell." - With that, you turn and rush towards the two closest spear-guards. While running towards them, you roar a battle-cry containing your fear, anger and, strangely, happiness. For some reason you feel more alive now than you have in months. For the first time since the battle that brought you to this planet you can see the 'weaves' of the universe again, and for a moment you wonder if you should see that as an omen.

But the moment quickly passes as you approach the two guards and your mind turns entirely towards battle. Though they are vague, you try to read the 'weaves' of your foes to see where they will strike. You raise your sword high and then sweep it in a circular motion in front of you to try and push the spears to your right while you move diagonally forward to the left.

Femesh Daer - Day 4

The guards Shara had charged towards both dropped to their knees, raising their spears towards Shara's torso. The other spear-wielding guards also approached Shara from behind, joined by the guard that had been knocked down after he retrieved his sword. When they got close to Shara, assuming she hadn't bypassed the other pair of guards, each of them would thrust their weapons towards the back of Shara's abdomen, with the spear-wielders attacking from her left and right and the swordsman directly behind her.

"I arrived in the south, not long before the sun fell out of the sky. I've been traveling north since then. Mostly, I've just been looking for business opportunities." Rebecca replied, not feeling much need to lie about her motives.

Veketta - Day 6

When Robin entered the meeting room, most of the people present turned to look at him, some of them looking confused, others concerned. One of the Vesh'Rah sitting behind a desk, a large brown-furred wolf, glared at Robin and growled slightly. Ferren, however, waved at Robin from across the room.

Robin waved back at Feren, then looked to the growling wolf. "I'm sorry if I'm interrupting, but this is important. I'm a traveller that has news from Calibeth."

Femesh Daer - Day 4
You stop for a second only a few decimetres from the spearpoints. For a second or two, you hesitate, but then the clattering behind you reminds you that the only way out is forward. After a couple of quick feints, you move forward with your prosthetic and sword positioned in front of your chest. Then you attempt to make a way by pushing your sword to the right and hooking your prosthetic around the other spear, moving it to the left.

Having breached through their defence, you then quickly move in towards the guard while continuing to hold their spears apart. When you are close, it is time to dispatch them. This you do by kicking the left one, now right in front of you, in the face while keeping the other one back with your sword. You then twist and deliver a hard blow with your prosthetic towards his head. You know without looking that your pursuers must be close behind you and you do not stick around but run out towards freedom.

With your more elegant attempt foiled, you lose time you cannot afford to lose. You are thus forced to try a more blunt approach, an effort pushed by desperation. You swing wildly at the two spears, trying to cut the points off or beat them down to move past.

You can almost feel the cold steel of the foes behind you, and you spin around while retreating to fend off this new attack while moving past the first two spear-points. You manage to place your prosthetic in the way of one spear-point, and parry the other two stabs with your sword. However, the cheap copper covering what's left of your lower left arm is no match for a tempered steel weapon, and you scream out in pain as it cuts deep into your arm.

Femesh Daer - Day 4

When Shara raised her arm and sword towards her chest, the two guards in front of her quickly lowered their spears and thrust them forwards, one at her gut and the other at her right thigh, intending to strike her before she could parry or avoid the strikes. Shara's wild swing would successfully break the wooden shafts of the spears, even if the guards' attacks landed.
While Shara was preoccupied parrying the attacks coming from the other three guards, one of the other spearmen took the broken wooden pole that had formerly been his spear and would swing it towards the back of Shara's knees.

"Back home, I was involved with a bunch of stuff. Gambling, international trade, arms dealing, and so on." Rebecca replied. "Mostly just organising things, without being directly involved, though."

Veketta - Day 6

The brown wolf began tapping his fingers on the table, his claws making a rhythmic clacking sound when they hit the wood, clearly not pleased. A few of the other people gathered in the room began muttering quietly, but eventually one of the large bears said, "Tell us what you know, then."

Robin took a deep breath. "The sun has fallen out of the sky, perhaps due to the death of the sun god, so the country is in permanent night. Some of the royal family has been killed and the capital has been destroyed. I found signs of combat in the capital that showed Calibethians and Vesh'Rah attacking Calibethian citizens for some reason. There also seems to be some advancement in their technology, though to what end I don't know."

Femesh Daer - Day 4
You just barely manage to catch the spear aiming for your gut using your prosthetic, guiding it to the side while the other gouges your thigh. With the adrenaline flowing through you, the pain is not so bad that you can't keep fighting, but it hurts like hell. After cutting the two spears off, you turn to parry the attacks coming from behind you. You place your prosthetic in the way of the spear coming from your left, and parry the other two attacks by sweeping your sword to the right at the right time. Then, you hear a sharp crack and your knee gives out, forcing you down to one knee as you scream in anguish.

Still determined to keep fighting you cut off the spear now stuck through your left arm with a downwards strike. A diagonal slash up follows it up to keep the sword-wielding guard and the only remaining spear at bay while you pull backwards. You follow through on the slash by turning around and limping towards the two guards you originally charged.

OoC: Edited it down 'cause it was a bit too much for one post.

Veketta Area - Day 6 - 07:34

"Well, I could do it, but it would be such a waste of time. But, yes, I had the idea, too - sending Hillary on a ship to Kaisir, and meeting her there. We may learn some more about their gods while we're at it, too. I gathered that not many Vesh... an? Veshian?" Timea began to respond, but trailed off as she thought on what the right denonym for Vesh might be, settling on Veshian. "... that Veshian ships don't sail to Kaisir that often. We'll see how this goes.

As for the ice fields, I wouldn't worry about that. Assuming the leaders even agree on going to war, we'll be at the fields long before word has spread to all of Vesh's tribes, and their troops mobilised. I estimate this would at least take four days."

Femesh Daer - Day 4

When Shara went down on her knee, the guard who had successfully speared her pulled his weapon back, preventing Shara from being able to cut it in two. That guard would then thrust towards Shara's right shoulder, after Shara had turned around. Around the same time, the guard that had struck Shara's leg stood up and swung the spear shaft towards Shara's head. The other former spearman ditched his pole, instead drawing his sword.

"Well, like I said, my role was mostly organising things. Sometimes just handling the jobs and getting them to the right people, sometimes handling disputes between workers, and other times it was information handling." Rebecca replied. "Most of the time, it's relatively simple, except when it comes to solving disputes."

Veketta - Day 6

A few of the Vesh'Rah looked intrigued at what Robin had to say, and leaned forward to listen closely. "Calibethans killing Calibethans, you say? Any idea why?" one asked.
Another then interjected, "What do you mean by advancement in technology? What did they develop?"

Femesh Daer - Day 4
You feel the spear pierce into your shoulder, but as you're moving away from it already, the point does not pierce very far. Still, it hurts like hell and you recoil automatically. It is only just that you manage to get your sword up in order to parry the strike towards your head. You then counter attack, leaping forward and slashing down into the guard's neck. You made sure not to make the slash too deep, not for any concern for his life but to allow the blade to continue on it's path, towards the abdomen/hip of the guard to the left. This attack, too, is shallow and you are quickly through. You position yourself with your back towards the wall, trying to keep both groups of enemies in your sight at the same time while limping back. You keep your sword ready to parry incoming from the guards you just attacked, while keeping your hooked arm towards the other foes. As you look over at the guards on your left, you spot and remember the runestone on your prosthetic. Seeing as you're probably going to die anyway, you begin to focus on the runestone, and small flames start to appear around it.

"Like I said, I don't know why." Robin answered the first questioner, then turned to the second. "There's a man there called Yeager. He claims to be a mere merchant but he's created new weapons and claims to be researching medicine. As far as I can tell he holds no loyalty to Calibeth."
