Northern Road - Day 6 - 08:25

"Obviously." Anik said to the first thing, and tried to poke Timea against her head.

"Why did you think that? I actually don't think it is that hard, you just have to use your mouth differently than what you would do if you spoke a human language. Whistling by blowing air in and out your lips is the most basic thing, that can be used to make bird sounds. For other things - well, forming tongue, mouth and lips in a certain way does do it.

But I don't really know the words for the forms - if there even are some. I just learned it, by trying it over and over."

Northern Road - Day 6 - 08:26

Timea didn't move away when Anik tried to poke her head. Assuming Anik had the right spatial awareness to connect, Timea smirked a little, which looked like her curling her upper lip.

"I assume you speak generally when you said "what I do when speaking a human language"." Timea commented after Anik finished explaining, alluding that the methods Anik described wasn't one Timea used. "But that's interesting."

Timea then paused for a moment, and asked, "You said bird song is one of your favourite things to imitate? Do you enjoy listening to it?"

Northern Road - Day 6 - 08:26

"Sure I do. It can be very beautiful, or interesting. I like to imagine what the animals think about, different than the complicated things humans think and do. And it certainly is a pastime of mine, listening to them, sing and talk.

I do ... or did it very often, sitting at an open window, just listening to nature ... and to people waking up to that, in the morning, how they start their days. Sometimes, it seems like the birds actually set the day in motion, while the humans think they are in control. Lots of thoughts in these hours ..."

Northern Road - Day 6 - 08:27

"Humans give themselves ever too much credit, believing they are so far above any other creature", Timea said, letting out a bitter chuckle at the end. Thinking her feelings on the matter wasn't something she should talk to with Anik, she quickly moved on. "Ah, but yes. I agree. Back on my homeworld, I mostly listened to the calls of birds of prey around the mountains, but every so often, I make my way to woodlands, and lay down, listening to the singing of song birds. Early in the morning, or late in the evening, when they wake up, and get ready to rest, and sing to others in the flock. Song echoing through the trees, while dim light shines down - it's mystifying." Timea was quiet for a moment, with a nostalgic smile on her face.

"It's funny. When reading our hearts, or whatever she did, Matilda mentioned we were quite alike. I thought it was nonsense at the time, but more recently, I'm starting to think she just may have been right. ... "Only through the eyes of another does one know ones self", indeed. Even if those eyes are blind", she eventually said after the pause, more amused.

Anik smiled at Timea's nostalgic feelings, even though she could only in another way relate to the feeling of mysticism. She stayed quiet as well, for Timea to not be disturbed while she remembered.

"When Matilda told us about it, I thought of different things, but maybe you are still right. Or it is now more right than ever before. ... Although honestly, I can't judge that more than you do.

I honestly always found this kind of saying dumb."
she laughed. "All this talk about eyes, and being blind to something ... I wonder how people even got the idea to relate these things. Feelings are not seen, not even by other people. Not really, anyways.

Still ... I'm glad you learn something from this adventure as well, even about yourself. I did not expect that, knowing that you are old ... wait, I hope I do not offend you if I talk about your age?"
she smirked in a friendly way, as much as she knew how to.

"Not at all", Timea was quick to answer, but then was quiet at she considered explaining why she wasn't, deciding it was best not. Instead, she said, "But, yes. While nice that I come across as some one that has nothing left to learn, that's not the case. No matter how old someone might be, they're never done learning. Even when choosing to keep the sphere of wisdom to a specific field like me, things change, bringing with them new things to be learned."

"I think this is a good attitude to have. I should remember this. But - now I am curious. What is the specific field you chose?" Anik asked, curious if it was something like survival, or something she did not know.

"I mostly just focus on getting through the days by my own means. Which I'm sure comes as ever the surprise", Timea answered, speaking with light-hearted sarcasm at the end of her sentence. "But, what is a learning experience for me, is teaching you this. I've never taught a blind person such skills. Unrelated to survival, trying to help you through your emotional problems is also entirely new to me."

Anik, having expected a little bit more, was kinf od disappointed in the answer. "Well, probably not too many travel around and consider this." The second thing was something she found embarrassing, and she did therefore not comment on it, only her head went a little bit more red.

Later

Wandering the road, Anik, Timea and co. would arrive at the village on the road, named Pelenna.
Anik listened, as always, to what the people talked about, and roughly read the hearts, to figure out what kind of people lived there.

"This is certainly true", Timea said with a small laugh. "Not to make you feel like a test subject, but I enjoy the learning experience."

Timea noticed Anik's face turning red, but having a good idea why this was, didn't comment on it. She would make the rest of the journey in relative silence, aside from occasional short bits of small talk.

Pelenna - Day 6 - 18:12

On the way to Pelenna, Timea had become hungry, and while on the road, she scanned the area to see if she could spot any traces of wildlife.

When arriving Pelenna, Timea stopped walking. "Okay, we're near Pealenna. Is anyone tired?" she asked, not looking at anyone, instead still scanning the area.

Yeager shook his head. "It's funny, if you had at first tried diplomacy I may have been persuaded to go a different route. If anything your rash and violent actions ensured the path I took. I vas hoping you would have the slightest sliver of regret for attempting to murder an innocent merchant but I can see I've wasted my time." said Yeager as he turned to leave.

Veketta - Day 6

"If it was the only way to ensure peace, then yes. Wouldn't you?" the wolf asked.

"I'll be sure to pass that on to everyone that wants to invade the Empire, then." Ferren replied. "Helping spark a rebellion might be a more practical method, in the long run... but not necessarily the best one."

Pelanna - 18:12

Timea would be able to spot wildlife on the way north, primarily small animals such as birds and hares near the road.

Upon arriving in Pelanna, she would find that it was built on the southeastern edge of a large, frozen lake which stretched off towards glaciers in the distance. The buildings were similar to other Vesh'Rah homes; relatively small and constructed of wood. Pelanna's population consisted almost entirely of the large, polar bear-like Vesh'Rah, with a handful of other Vesh'Rah visible and no humans in sight, Anik aside.

The Doctor looked at him and started to walk out. "I asked that question so many years ago and he give the same answer. It ended with everyone massacred and the greatest evil in the universe rose to power." The Doctor said before he walked out.

You comply, closing your eyes. At the same time you try to focus more on the 'weaves' surrounding you, but you quickly feel disoriented by sensing your own 'weaves' from within. You can even sense Sam distinctly, but it does not feel like Sam did in the real world. Rather it seems like a part of yourself, a tightly knit part of your own 'weave'.

Pelenna - Day 6 - 18:12

Timea was frustrated to find she hadn't seen a trace of any large animal, even if, being so close to the road and a settlement, expected it.

At Anik's question, Timea looked Pelenna over, seeing the lack of human residents. After sniffing the air to make sure she answered, "I don't detect any humans around here, so to be safe, it's best you do." While speaking, Timea looked the area over to see if livestock was kept, sniffing the air for such scents while she did, too.

Pelenna - Day 6 - 18:12

Anik frowned, as she had not considered tiredness when she planned to play the short-sighted bodyguard, but took the veil out of her pocket and put it on, then put on the hood of her coat as well, to disguise her being human as much as possible. She clicked, then said: "I can hardly 'see' farther than five feet ... but well, it is enough not to run into anything. So, whatever."

She then waited for Timea to take the lead.
