Vala, day 11, 12:43
Robin had spent the time with Cybil, watching her attempts. He stood as she did. "I can't really make it work either. It's like trying to breath or walk differently. Maybe it's easier for people that have little to no magic otherwise."

Village - Day 14 - 11:27

Timea listened to Anik, but not very carefully, stopping paying attention to what Anik was saying at around the mid point of her comment. While sitting, Timea curled her lip, and shifted the position of her arms, placing her left arm over her lap, and the right hand on her knee. With the right hand, she irritatedly tapped on her knee.

Feeling increasingly agitated, she let out a small growl. "Are you done?" She asked angrily, but didn't wait for an answer. "Good. Then shut. Up. I am not in the mood for this!"

With a snarl, she rose up to her feet. "Do you want to play messiah, go out and stop a conflict or two? You tried! Let's take a look back and see what it got anyone, shall we? You've accomplished ending up with a dead man, and a society turned on its head in one instance, and having someone thrown in a cell the other.

Bravo! Simply exemplary work! It changed things for the worse, in the short term, while changing nothing for the better in the great scheme of things. Because, no, the great scheme of things cannot be changed! It's throwing a pebble in the sea, and expecting a dam!"

Balling her hands up into fists, Timea let out another, more loud growl. "None of what I say is not something I haven't said before, either! Have you simply not been listening?!"

Again not waiting for an answer, Timea shouted "bah!" She then stormed off, moving along the foot of the hill a short distance, and sitting down there.

As Timea was storming off, Anik called after her, with a lump in her throat: "But you did something this time, instead of taking yourself out of the conflict!"

With that, she curled up on the ground, cried, and waited for the world to end.

She would not get up unless either someone came to her, or until she would feel the warmth of the sun on her skin.

"Lestha, to the northwest." the innkeeper told Quan Chi.

Day 14 - 11:30

Anik would hear footsteps approaching her after a couple of minutes, and would sense a Vesh'Rah heart getting close. "Um... are you all right?" a woman asked her, stopping close to Anik.

Quan Chi stood, gave a small bow, and left the inn. He headed out of the village, to the Northwest, along the road if there was one.

Anik shuddered, and murmured: "No." to the Vesh'Rah, not getting up and turning to face her, but holding her hands before her face, hoping the Vesh'Rah would not see the blood tears.

Village - Day 14 - 11:27

Hillary would have been quite upset from all the arguing seemingly out of nowhere, and when Timea finally started to storm off she was left standing next to Anik who collapsed to the ground in tears. She would stand there for a few moments, looking down to Anik, and then back up to Timea as she continued to leave. It didn't take long to come to a conclusion of what to do though, having gone through a situation similar herself more than a week ago. With her little fists balled, she too quickly followed after Timea, letting out a "I'll be right back Anik." as she went.

Unfortunately Timea with her longer legs and head start would make it difficult for Hillary to catch up, but she'd manage it soon enough after a couple minutes. "TIMEA! Wait Timea!!" Hillary called out, trying her best to close the gap.

Village - Day 14 - 11:29

Walking away with angry stomps, Timea made barely subdued snarling noise. She fumed with rage, some times overtaken by feeling sad more, then being back to raging.

Hearing Hillary call out to her, however, Timea stopped, but didn't turn around. She went through a short breathing exercise, which didn't help stop her being angry, but at least gave her some self control in the storm of emotion. "Not now, Hillary. Leave me alone. Please."

Hillary would continue approaching for a short time more, although still not getting right up to Timea. Timea's tone was definitely enough for Hillary to be spooked not to get much closer. "I just wanted to say... when you feel better, come back to the church. Nobody can listen if everyone is shouting, so... I'm sorry you had a yelling fight." Hillary said her piece before she started to turn around and head back up to the church's grounds where Anik still was.

Quan Chi would find a road leading north out of the village, which would, after a while, meet a crossroads.

Anik would hear the woman take a few sniffs, then say, "You smell like you're bleeding."

"I know." Anik said slowly. "... don't worry about this."

She slightly turned her head towards the woman, still holding her hands before her face. "You are a Vesh'Rah, right?" she asked. "I hope you don't get into trouble when the sun does come back..."

Listening to Hillary say her piece, Timea nodded, and took two steps forward, wanting to keep on moving. She momentarily stopped, however. "I will. Don't worry." After saying this, Timea continued on, sitting down. There, she continued stewing.

"I am, yes." the woman stated, before staring down at Anik. "The sun is returning?" she asked, confused.

"Yes." Anik answered. "The sun is returning, and probably the war with it, too ... I did not want this ..."

Cybil had been quietly practicing with her sky-metal as well. "Don't worry about it. Took me a while to get anything out of it too." She stifled a laugh as she heard Zephy's stomach growl. Though her own stomach growling shortly afterwards shut her up.

"I hope so, too." Anik said. "Umm ... could you give me a second?" she asked, then, turning to face away from the woman. She created some water with her ring, took off the blindfold, and washed her face.

She then got up and turned back towards the woman, without the blindfold, her closed lids visible. "If you can ... don't trust the gods. Don't follow their instructions without question. ... But I should say this to the Calibetheans more. I don't even know ...

Do you think that we should not try to stop wars, as there always will be some?"
She sounded not really sure of herself, not really like she knew what she was saying.

The woman watched Anik clean her face, noticing the sign of sorcery but not commenting on it. In response to Anik's question, she replied, "No, I think we should try to stop wars. Even if another one starts, well, you just try and stop that one, too. It might seem pointless, but consider the alternative. If you let wars keep going on and on, without stopping them, then more people die." After a short pause, she added, "I mean, the war between Vesh and Calibeth was stopped, but if it wasn't then our warriors would've been sailing over here day after day, getting slaughtered, while Kaisiri mercenaries burned our cities and raided our coasts."

Anik stayed silent for a while, letting the words of the Vesh'Rah women sink in. She then said: "... this is what I thought. What I tried to say ... but either I can not, or she will not hear it, because she is different ...

What do you say to someone who just wants to stay out of everything? Letting things run its course, without one's own intervention?"
