The swordsman scoffed.
Robin looked troubled when Shara objected. "What else am I supposed to so? I can't leave you like this." He looked over when Speedy pointed out the books. He grabbed some of them with his mind, bringing them over to him. He began ready.

Speedy scoffed at the man scoffing, and went to Shara, looking at her with big eyes, but not saying anything.

Camp, day 13
Robin looked over as he saw Shara murmuring. He saw her original body, and dropped the books in horror, going over to her corpse and brushing the snow of her face, then noting all the other corpses scattered around. "Oh my..." He walked back a bit, looking to Shara, noting her respiration and putting two and two together. "...You want to die, don't you?"

Camp - Day 13
You find that you can't respond, the spell preventing you from saying yes and your pain stopping you from saying no. Instead you twist your head around, until the bandages covering your skull start loosening. The cold snow stings against the charred, bleeding mess that used to be your skin.

Robin looked horrified, rushing over to Shara, starting to put the bandages back on but realising she wanted them off and stopping. "Shara, wait. I... I know you want to end this, but I can fix it I can help bring you and everyone here back to full life. I just need a little time."

You lay back and close your eyes, allowing yourself a weak sigh. You can't force Robin to kill you, and trying is painful.

Robin figured he wasn't getting through to Shara, stood up and sighed. He thought for a second, phrasing his question carefully. "Shara... Do you want me to bring you back?"

Robin lifted Shara up gently with his mind, making sure to stop and put her back down if she seemed to be in pain. He looked to Jantra. "How much can you carry?"

Camp - Day 13
Shara was obviously already in horrible pain - Robin lifting her up did not seem to bother her further.

Speedy was quite shocked about how Shara's head looked, turning away and trying not to puke. But as Robin asked if she wanted to be brought back, he looked at her, and was quite relieved when she nodded.

"Can I help?" he asked Robin as he lifted Shara up and asked Jantra.

Robin looked at Speedy. "Hmm... Look around for a nearby town. We need somewhere that can restrain and heal her."

EMily and Winona smiled back at Robin and Speedy before turning and walking their way back to the portal that spawned Winona.

Photon materialized, and EMily pulled up a contact screen with Sara. It was rough since the portal wasn't energized, but she was able to get a message through. Sara and Gwen, although saddened by the sudden turn of events, agreed to let the two sisters back. They would wait for them at the portal.

-----

EMily and Winona, now thoroughly exhausted and tired from traveling, made their way successfully back to the portal from which they originally came from.

"I sure hope that people will have fond memories of me." The blue one said solemnly. And the girl in green made a hug.
<color=green>"There won't be a next time will there?"

She sighed disdainfully.
"I'm afraid not. But remember we have our own mission back on our universe."

<color=green>"I'm sure there were plenty of people that thought you were amazing. I don't think there's anything you should be particularly ashamed of. I say this because you're always so dang hard on yourself."

They entered the portal that was energized. With a soft "whoosh" it closed.

... but why does she need to get healed in this form?"

"We're not sure what will happen if she dies like this. I don't want to risk it." Robin said.

"Okay ..." Speedy said. "Then follow where I say you should go. I know the way to Femesh Daer."

And with that, he tried to climb up on Robins shoulder, to tell him about the way to go.

Robin followed the directions, Shara floating behind him all the way.

Robin took Shara to Femesh Daer, aware she may be recaptured but not having much choice due to the extent of her injury. After making sure she would be alright, Robin promised to try and fix this and headed back to Quan Chi's camp, taking everything he could find (but leaving the man who was forced to stay there some recreation and talking with him so he didn't go mad from isolation). He took what he could back to Vala, where he studied and studied and studied, pouring over the books time after time. Occasionally he took breaks to revisit Shara and the man, updating them on his progress. Finally, weeks later, he went back to Shara with good news.
"I can change you back."
Several negotiations later, Robin brought Shara and the men that remained of Quan's subverted mercenary force to the mage's camp, all under guard and with healers on hand. He took a volunteer, stabbing him in the chest so he would have time, and began making his own revenant. However, halfway through he stopped the process, using his own magic to destroy the still-forming revenant, releasing a wave that brought Quan's victims back to full life. After making sure the volunteer was alright, Robin decided to stay in Femesh Daer, near Shara if she was OK with it. He continued to study magic as best he could, eagerly awaiting some sign from EMily, Cybil or his other worldhopping companions.

For anyone that she travelled with, a data pad would appear in their closest mailbox, computer desk, etc. similar to an electronic tablet. It would appear at the appropriate time. On it displayed the following text. For those who could not see or read, the messages would be given in audio.

"This is the final message for anyone who's been with me during my travels outside of my homeworld of Earth 3023 AD. I'm sorry for anyone that didn't get to say goodbye to me, but you were some of the best companions I have ever been with. If you ever wish to drop me a message, you can do so by touching these chat and text links on the screen:"

<color=skyblue>[Chat]
<color=skyblue>[Text]

Similar chat and text options are found in the many other log entries that are dated at later points in time. Implying that you could pretty much contact EMily at nearly any point in her life.

"In my various travels I have encountered several different creatures, people, and alternate universes. All of which cannot be explained without meticulous detail. But they are, pretty much, not of this Earth. Or better yet, not of this universe. These creatures have provided extraordinary proof of the multiverse. All of which has been recorded in my data logs on Photon. Through these adventures I have come up with some interesting conjectures. This directory contains my logs for the remainder of my life."

The first two entries appear to be dated December 4, 3023.

"The primary one concerns magic. In my world, it's considered to be anything that's the unexplained or the unexplored. That's how it's taught in our schools. Fellow nerds that I've hung out with have tried to give an alternative explanation where magic, perhaps, originates from things that break the rules of the universe.

At first, I declared this as impossible. There are many things in physics and in science, that were once thought to be concrete, and eventually disproven or rewritten. It's been shown time and time again that whatever appears to break our universe, is really just another part of the universe. You cannot break the laws of nature in a closed universe because there are no penalties for doing so. This is why magic is referred to as the unexplained or unexplored.

But then I met other people from other universes, all with varying wild effects. And it had me thinking: How is it that these people are allowed to be in our universe? Because there are too many factors to consider, we can't make any conjectures as to what their laws from their universe might be. It is possible that there is an invisible rule out there that allows people to cross universes. Magic's second definition is: leaked energy or matter from other universes."

"This is pretty much goodbye to a lot of people. I hope at least a good number of people that have enjoyed my presence, as well as my sisters'.

I know there were some people out there that hated my science talk, or at least didn't like it or found it annoying. But it's given me a different perspective on it, since my world is so focused in its golden age of science. There are things in this world where we don't need science. It is my most powerful ally, but nothing is infinite in reach.

I'm still the science teacher everyone knows about. I love to teach, and I love science. There's nothing in heaven or hell that will break my faith in it. I really don't care if I never end up in a relationship and have kids. As long as I'm with my close friends and get to explain the universe to them, I'm satisfied with my life."

This file looks as though it's much newer. It's dated November 14, 3073 AD.

"Our quest ended long ago. Our powers and abilities are still with us, but we are no where near the energy level we once were. Much of our potential energy was spent in reviving the lost life that was taken by the Dark Being. Originally we could live for thousands of years from that energy. But that energy is now spent, and we'll now live for an average human lifetime.

Gwen has taken up the position of an ambassador of peace to the Shnaaa, our first galactic allies. She is also looking into making connections with the Iter, the people who accidentally let loose the Dark Being. But I feel that it will take much more time before they are good friends with us. Their history is complicated like ours, and their recent transgressions have led them into a state of isolation away from other species in the galaxy.

Winona now has a bundle of kids to take care of. Her three children have resulted in a further nine grandkids. She takes care of them as well as other families in a daycare center. Seems oddly fitting for her. She could never let go of her youthfulness. Even at the age of 73, she still feels like a complete and total doll.

Sara is a chef at a restaurant in Old New York. I never miss a chance to eat what she's made, no matter how spicy it is. She's also become a master of the hardanger fiddle in her hobbies.

As for me, I'm not sure. Even after all this.
I've always had it in the back of my mind. During a travel from long ago, there was a cat named "Mochan" that said that he was immortal through some magical means. I felt that it would be daunting and lonely to take up immortality. But, then I looked at Markus and what he did. Markus has been going on for over 573 years. I feel as though, I would want to help people with my wisdom like he does. I've realized my mistakes long ago when I attempted to do so and brought about recklessness. But now, I feel the time is right. Even though I've relinquished the large amount of energy a long time ago, there is another way to last much longer."

There are many other entries listed in the computer files. They relate to events beyond the sister's lives. But it seems as though EMily has been recording the history of the universe. She has assumed a transhuman state, merging herself permanently with Photon. She is not corporeal, becoming akin to something ethereal. In addition to this, EMily copied the memories of her sisters into her own memory before they passed away. She has gone on, watching over the many races that inhabit the universe, the ones still looking for answers. Some entries are regarding her creating simulations to pass the time; out of body experiences on games and worlds that no longer exist.

The date on the screen is so large, it can hardly fit on one line.

"Everything is gone. All that's left is darkness. Stars, planets, galaxies, people, protons, my sisters. Loneliness is something that is no longer relevant to me. I've even seen the origins of my own powers and the secret behind them. But it doesn't matter right now. All of the races I have seen across the universe have arisen, lived fulfilling lives, and died.

I have been time traveling for nearly a year just to get to this point. In essence, I guess I held up for so long because I felt I wanted to fulfill the idea that people are a way for the cosmos to know itself.

Is this the end? No. It is not. Not yet...

Long before recording this message, I did some calculations based on what I've seen. Using creativity, science, imagination, ingenuity, and... a little bit of magic, I've figured out when "the end" is. That's what I've been waiting for all this time. The fact of the matter is...

Endings and beginnings are all here with us. There is no such thing as an "end".

At last... there it is in front of me: The light of the next universe. <color=orange>See you <color=green>there, <color=purple>everyone!"

Life on the new world was difficult for Timea. There were the usual hardships that came with an exodus to new land; She had to learn new weather patterns, the lay of the land, location of hunting grounds the year around, prey animal behaviour, and so on. This she all expected. But, surprising herself, she also found herself wishing her former companions were nearby.

While she enjoyed being by herself in some regard, for her, it felt the two and a half weeks she had been with the others had passed in an blink of an eye - the meeting and the farewell seemed to have come back to back, and Timea found herself wishing the time in-between had lasted longer.

Even so, the hardships didn't make her wish she was elsewhere; In this untamed world, Timea was happy. Time passed quietly, with prey being plentiful and large enough that Timea rarely went hungry.

When not hunting or taking long naps, Timea kept herself busy with studying the mannerisms of various animals, and making rock carvings. One set of statues, Timea began carving into the side of a mountain; A tribute to her friends. Great care went into this, so much so that she didn't finish as years turned to decades, and decades to centuries, some times needing to retouch parts as the weather eroded details away.

During this project, Timea occasionally unearthed gem stones, both familiar and unusual. Timea decorated her preferred sleeping place with these. Although she knew better, she liked to think the gems were her friends bringing her gifts, even if she and them were worlds apart.
