"For example." Blue said to the one guard.
The other one, who had accused her of cheating, would find his arm moving on his own, in a slightly painful way, and hitting himself on the side of the head, not too hard.
"Stop hitting yourself." Blue said to him, and chuckled.

Black took specific note of the Mont-Royal parc and area, then shortly talked to Green, quietly.
Both left the building and joined Red after this. They started walking into the direction of the area Black had taken note of.

"We're more united than ever before, but hardly anyone wants a world government. It would be too far away from the people." - Ella replied to Dalahar.

The guard who was made to hit himself pouted and said, "It's not fair. Why couldn't our universe have magic native to it..."

He signed "I can only see the bigger picture, I was a single bolt on a machine for the advancement of humanity. I could never be apart of it, I knew that. There was so many threats to humanity. He turned his helmet to face Ella so she knew he was looking at her "I used to worship my emperor, as a god as I believed. I burned worlds for him, the word bearers his most devout sons. And he rewarded our faith and admiration with disdain and chastisement. Faith is not so easily discards."

 

[Chungus]

Montreal, Portal Station, portal room. Evening. March 3rd.​

The spy bot that had stayed in the portal room placed themselves in a good position where it could record Blue, capturing her card game with the guard. When she did her magic trick, it zoomed in on her hand above the cup, and later, on the guard that smacked himself.

The spy bot that followed Black and Green stopped at the door when they two left the building, calculating that chances of it being stepped on outside were too high. It stayed in the door opening, and recorded the two's talking with Red, then returned to the portal room when the three of them walked off.

"So ... I can just wait in here, until Krovis comes to get me ..." Anik said, and started sobbing, red tears running down her chin.

Fernand held her hand with both of his, and said: "I have no idea if I can, but I will try to help you."

"Well, at least you seem to tend for yourself instead of being lazy and waiting for magic to fix all your problems." Blue said, serious for one second. She smiled again after that. "Anyways, I promise I won't cheat now."

Lambda also put her hand near Anik's, trying to console her.

Anik did try, but she did not calm down.
Instead, her hands began feeling slightly scaly.

"Well, until about 11 years ago, we didn't even have that option. But still, magic does make things easier to deal with." the guard said.
Another then added, "Yeah. I remember a few years ago, some interdimensional criminal showed up. Local police couldn't deal with him, 'cause he was stopping bullets with his mind, throwing people around and that sort of thing. Then a pair of bounty hunters show up, and before this fugitive could finish boasting about how nobody could get close, one of the hunters just teleported up to him and shoved a knife in his face."
"And then there's the lowered pollution thanks to magic-based power sources."

Montreal, Bordeaux Prison, visitation room. Afternoon. March 3rd.​

"No one will be able to force their way in here. This place looks really safe"

, Kuki chimed in after Fernand to try and get Anik to calm down.

"And I'm sure everything is being done to get this process to conclude fairly."

They noticed blood was trickling down Anik's cheeks, and was taken aback by it for a moment, until they put together that it was due to her missing her eyes.

Anik not moving her hand enough enough for them to pick up on it, Kuki didn't feel scale growths start to form on the hand.

"That's what happens if you dabble in things you don't understand. Letting people just arrive in here, without checking their abilities?
It's really sloppy. And, if I would be one of the others, I would try to close this portal and other connections, to save you from yourselves. Lucky for you, I am not the others. I just want to have fun." Blue said to the guards. "Might be the situation changes for me later as well, though. I apologize in advance.

"We do check abilities of people that come through here, and we require documentation. But most of the malicious interdimensionals, or fugitives like Anik, either come through unregulated means of travel, or anomalies. Most of the times, they don't even arrive in portal hubs. They just appear... wherever. Fields, out in the sea, on the street." the guard replied. "Closing the portal isn't going to prevent that happening. The portal typically only takes in traffic from similar hubs on other worlds, like Avinah."
The guard would then give directions to the building's toilets.

Lambda, noticing the transformation, scanned Anik's hand.

"It's a family thing." Candace told her. "Anyway, do you want... Breakfast? Dinner? I don't know what food right now would be to you."

He tapped his fingers impatiently in what appeared to be a black room. Moments later a high pitched chime sounded and a blue outline appeared before him, speaking with a distorted voice "a breakthrough" it demanded
He stiffened in his seat as he answered the garbled voice "yes, it seems your funding was well spent. 17hours ago SOS recieved the templates from CA. My own division is been hard at work with the continuation of CA but with this information at our grasp we can begin pregress on SOS and WK. I'm already hearing good things back from the WK team. They are working on implimentarion with Tombstone as we speak." Progress, he was relieved as the thought

The garbled voice spoke again "Good. I spent significant investment on keeping this out of the hands of XPOL, I want this to be the cutting edge of what can be accomplished with interdimensionals.

"Yes of course. With the lock down of the portal station I suspect we will have ample time to complete the project, your funds are well spent"

"I expect a full report on the progress of DI in two days. You will have more money and more staff." With that the transmission cut off

The room, dark once again was silent save for the exhale of the sole
Occupant. He stood up, adjusted his black lab coat and left the room to continue his work

Anik's hand was changing further, and her hands began forming half into some kind of claw. She was shaking.
Fernand squeezed it, and tried to calm her down.

Anik just said: "I think it's better you leave now."

Lambda would scan how the matter in Anik's hand shifted and reformed, but always stayed the same amount. She could see the scaly change with her eyes, not needing only the scan.

Blue laughed out loud: "You know one portal affects other places as well, right? Every spot others arrive in is either connected to this portal, or to another constantly open one. Closing this would not fix it, but it would prevent many new spots from opening.
And starting there, you can close the others."

She then left for the bathroom, without another word.

"If you want." Lambda stood, noting the scaled hand for later. She left Anik be and turned to the guard. "I'd like to see Viyang, if I may."
