After Ella and them were not allowed to visit Anik, Fernand called Lambda while Ella was calling her superior. "Hello, this is Fernand.
Umm ... Anik apparently is not allowed visitors right now, because she did something ...

Do you know why?"

"Huh." Black said. "Seems like she'll be more trouble than we thought.
Krovis probably does not know of this, too."

Green followed along. "So how did you manage to restrain her?"

Ella hummed to herself after she'd said goodbye and hung up. She felt like she had a viable reason to atleast stick around. Anik was still, in a way, under her protection. She'd make sure everything was done by the book.

"We tased her, moved her to a new cell and put her under closer guard." the officer explained. "Mostly, she's kept here under threat of getting shot, which is part of the reason why we want her gone. But we can't just hand her over. There's official channels it has to be done through."

"Umm ... when can we expect a decision? And what exactly are we doing here, then?"

"Unfortunately, that's how the system works. I can't just let you take her." the officer said to Black. She then told Green, "First; it could take a while. Days, at the least. As for what you're here for, I thought it best to tell you all I can rather than just have you turned away."

"I appreciate that." Green said. "And I apologize for the incident a few days ago. It seems like White was not properly introduced to the customs here, and was impatient."

"Yeah, believe that all you will." Black said. "Did you see the big man out there? He might have been a threat to her, and he probably is to all, not only us.

Anyways, he did not kill White. Say, where could we expect to learn more about the 'incident'?"

"Apology accepted. This sort of thing, with interdimensionals not knowing our rules and stuff, happens more often than we'd like." the guard said to Green, before addressing Black. "We do think he is a threat. An XPOL officer was assigned to keep an eye on him. And if you want to learn about the incident, I can contact XPOL and request a copy of the report for you."

"Just looking for now. How much is all this?"

March 4th
"I heard a disturbance from her cell when I was done talking to her. Either she tried to escape, or she damaged her cell in some way." Lambda explained. "I assume the latter."

"XPOL, huh? Alright." Black said, his tone of voice unclear.

"Would there be any way to speed up this process?" Green asked. "Honestly, we are under pressure here. Not taking her back, sending others back to their worlds and closing connections could endanger our world - and yours. Especially yours.

But we won't have enough resources if we can not get her."

"Oh ... that's not good." Fernand said to Lambda. "And now ... there are other people here who want to take Anik. They look like, well, like other colours."

"What, all of it? Probably a few thousand dollars, in total." the shopkeeper replied.

"Not really." the officer said. After a pause, she asked, "Why won't you have enough resources without her? I'd have thought dealing with a trial and whatever punishment she gets would use more resources."

Being actually curious about all the magical doodads, Nina asked the shopkeeper for descriptions of what they all did.

"Other..." It took Lambda a second to figure it out. "What are they doing?"

"I don't know." Fernand said. "They just went inside, showed some kind of card for extradition, then went further inside, talking to people.
They do not seem to want to fight, for now."

The shopkeeper explained that the rune-inscribed wooden blocks were portable, reusable spells; the rune corresponded with a spell, and whoever held the wood could cast that spell with it. There were a limited number of uses, however. The metal rings would enhance a person's ability to perform sorcery, a specific type of magic, though each person would have an affinity for one kind of spellcasting and no other. The liquids were potions, most of which were for health benefits and sorting ailments.

"Tell me about it." the officer said with a smile. "Anyway, is there anything in particular you want to ask about the case or the extradition process?"

"Those blocks might be what I'm after, though the limited uses hamper that somewhat..."

"Thank you. I have a call to make." Lambda hung up, calling the prison.

Raz, who had been with the group, but was quiet for reasons, spoke up when Nina asked her question. "Oh, oh, I'm with her, what's all this stuff do?"

"Actually, yes." Green said. "Who would decide about the extradition? Could we just take her if allowed, or would your people escort her to a portal?"

Black chimed in: "Is XPOL involved in these cases?"

"There are methods to extend lifespan of the runes, but they involve some time investments. What are you looking for, precisely?"

"Usually the bounty stores handle it, along with judges from this world. XPOL would be in charge of transporting the criminal if there was enough of a threat, so chances are in this case they would be involved, yes. And finally, yes, you could just handle it yourselves. XPOL would probably provide an escort for safety's sake, just in case, though."
