On the way upwards, the bounty hunter could see a basic medieval society, poor and dirty people at first, as she got up and closer to the castle, bigger merchant houses, then another wall and seemingly some aristocratic mansions. The castle was surrounded by a moat and walls as well.

The guards positioned there looked far more grim and serious as they stopped her. "Who are you? What business do you have here?"

Faa stands up, more emotionally shaken than anything. "I'm fine to move." The colour returned to his eyes as he regarded his rescuers with his intense vision. "Who are you? Why did you come?"

Johannesburg, South Africa​

The Scath withdrawal was uncontested, and afterwards there was no celebration among the surviving defenders. They'd withstood the onslaught, but the cost had been terrible. More than half of the soldiers who'd mustered to defend the city were dead or so wounded that they'd not fight again. Many more were wounded in one way or another. However, the hospitals of the city stood intact, and soon many of the severely wounded soldiers were receiving care. The XPOL agent soon reported the conclusion of the battle to his superiors, and he warned them that Johannesburg was essentially undefended now. There were less than one thousand soldiers in good enough shape to fight, and morale had plummeted as everywhere there were signs of the carnage.

The bounty hunter looked over at the guard, stopped and said; [color=0066cc]"I am called Ory'hara, and I am a bounty hunter. My mark is a woman named Anik. When I mentioned that to the city gate's guard, he told me to up to the castle and speak to a 'Krovis'."[/color]

"That's a relief."

She stood up as Faa did.

"Anyway, I'm Sylvia. Sylvia Gansen."

"Doctor Nova Daisy."

Cybil stood as the tallest at 5'6" (168cm), only managing the feat due to Nova being 5'2" (157cm), and Sylvia being 5'(152cm). Nova looked to be the oldest, either at or approaching middle age. Cybil was significantly younger, by at least a decade, and with Sylvia being clad entirely in armor, her age was not readily apparent.

"Anyway, we heard what we guess was you roaring, and we didn't have anything better to do, so we figured we would go check it out."

"You could have worded that a little nicer."

[color=9f2089]"Let's stop standing around and get a move-on already. The faster we get back into the city, the better. They can introduce themself on the way."[/color]

The other two nodded, and the trio began walking back towards the road at a brisk pace.

Faa trotted alongside his rescuers as they moved. The abilities these Hrem had in combat again something he'd never seen or heard off. The skirmish he had seen would have been impossible for a Hrem to follow, over in mere minutes. "Your names?" He asked "I am really indebted to you for this, one trauma too many." He looked at the ground "I thought things would be so adventurous away from home, after I got over the shock. It's just been horrible so far." He shook his head. " I am Faa, prince of the Scath and given of flame." He was at least glad his collar had broken, that level of formality really did grate upon him.

"... where do you come from?" the guard asked. He had had a confused look on his face when the bounty hunter spoke off Krovis, seemingly getting suspicious she did not know him at all.

As Sarah stepped out of the bathroom she could nearly not be recognized. Her hair had changed completely, from blonde to black dreads with green neon in them. She wore goggles on her forehead, and a mask over her mouth. Otherwise she wore what looked like a corset, which accentuated her top-heavy features, which was odd, considering how shy she had been before. Below that, some kind of latex frilly skirt, as well as a pair of loose tights and two platform shoes, which made her 10 cm taller than she had been before. She also wore gloves, and, if people looked closely, had some kind of white-ish transparent material over the parts of her body which were exposed. The other parts were either black or had glowing neon green parts to them. She also wore heavy make-up.

Zevrisya turned towards Sarah, her eye-tongue still wiggling in the air. [color=660099]"No luck yet. So, as far as we can tell, he's on the ground and not in this part of the city."[/color] she explained.

Sarah held out her hand in a reflex, showing some white glowing thing in the middle of her palm.
[color=99d039]"Eww!"[/color] she called out, before stopping herself from firing something.

Anyways, do you know which direction?"[/color]

[color=660099]"You get used to it."[/color] Zev replied, as her tongue receded into the eye socket, and the eyelids shut. As Zev moved her eyepatch back into position over the right eye, she continued, [color=660099]"And, I'm not totally sure. I don't have a scent trail to follow, so I can't track him."[/color]

After a few seconds of thought, Zev looked down at her hands, then began sniffing and licking them.

That is by far one of the strangest costumes I've seen. She thought. "I did not know that filtered masks were something people wore for aesthetics."

Ory'hara shrugged and said; [color=0066cc]"A village of little import, far away to the north. We called it Snowmelt. Why?"[/color] - She used a tactic for lying that relied on using as much true information as possible. Snowmelt was indeed of little import in the grand scheme of things, but it was not a small village. It was in fact a planet with some ten billion people living on it.

"I feel somewhat out of my depth here. I mean, I know I'm still probably be able to adapt to anything, but it may take some getting used to, all this world hopping..."

Reinhardt left his room, originally going to tell the others another what he had seen, but shut himself up when he saw Sarah's outfit and Zev's eye, one eyebrow raised in fascination.

No worries, we will stay here for a bit, so not too much world-hopping now."[/color]

Well, and it's good against chemical hazards."[/color] Sarah told Shana.
[color=99d039]"How do you mean this? You had a scent, but no trail?"[/color] she asked Zev, still irritated about her eye-thing.

"Oh, a northerner?" the guard said. "Well ... since you spoke of Anik, we might let you through. But first: Whom do you work for?"

"We have a lead on something?" Reinhardt asked.

"That's right."
[color=9f2089]"Uh-huh."[/color] The trio responded as Faa asked for confirmation.

"Well, if you want to help pay us back, could you answer some questions for me? Later, I mean. I need to write everything down."

[color=9f2089]"Yeah, I've been there too."[/color] Cybil replied sympathetically as Faa expressed his overall dissatisfaction with his current situation.

"Oh wow, you're a prince? You're all kinds of stuff I never met before! So that means your parents are the King and Queen, right? Are they in charge of your country, or is it just a ceremonial thing? What's 'Given of flame' mean?"

Sylvia curiously bombarded Faa with questions.

[color=9f2089]"Before anything else, we need to know why those women were after you. How much do you know about that?"[/color]
