"This does provide much needed context. It's magic to you because in your world, people probably can't come up with an explanation for how it gets produced. But in my world, the engineers know how to explain the genetic engineering that will create such abilities. And this is solely because the engineers were able to research this ability." She shrugged. "That's my best guess." She continued eating.

Gash did put her sword outside, confident that nobody else could even lift it, and ordered a very rare-cooked steak when she came back in. She ignored what everyone else said for the most part, and focused on eating her food in a rather barbaric fashion- grabbing the steak with her hands and taking large bites of it, including the bone.
However, she did notice the conversation between Viyang and Candace. "You'd herf abouk her becauf she thing she'f a nogle" She told Viyang, mouth still stuffed with food. She swallowed, and started talking normally. "You know how nobles are, they think they're famous and important, but really they don't do shit."

"The Ayers are one of Saxom's great noble families! They are known far and wide! How could you not know of us?" Candace looked shocked and slightly offended.
"I think I get what you're saying. However, that still does not make what I'm using 'magic' in my world. Maybe in some superficial sense it'll seem like the same kind of magic you use. But underneath all that, I guarantee you the magic you use and what goes on inside me are fundamentally different. From the way you described your magic, it just sounds unrelated."
