Anik was about to finish her food, when the customer started to irritate her.
And only a few seconds later, she started to smell the smouldering.
"This isn't right ..." she stated. "It smells like burnt hair. This is disgusting."
She finished her steak quickly, then stood up, unfolded her cane, sniffed, and walked closer to the customer. "Hey ... are you okay?" she asked, after noticing that the smell came directly from the shouting customer.
Dalahar realises he can feel the breeze on his skin. His armour was becoming close again, the daemon was close having recovered a lot of its strength. Dalahar was more worried by its inaction than anything else as if it had just made itself know to him and left, to remind him.
Port
Ella looked up at Dalahar. "XPOL is an international police force specialising in crimes committed by extradimensionals. Don't worry, I'm not here to arrest you. As a matter of fact my mission is to accompany you and the others affected by the anomaly." She said, then looked over at the cop, acknowledging her. "Due to that mission, I am authorised to participate in this investigation. There are cameras in here, right? Maybe facial recognition can tell us who the burnt guy is."
She then looked back at the corpse; Self-combustion? The guard is right, this doesn't sound like Earth First...
The police officer stared at Ed's holograms in surprise, then said, "Well... that's better than nothing. Thank you, sir." After thinking over things momentarily she said, "I'd assume a blastia weapon of some kind, or perhaps sorcery... If he's Earth First, interdimensionals with access to those tools might have motive to kill him."

The irate customer heard Candace's comment, and stomped over to her. "What did you call me!?" he yelled, his fingertips and ears burning slightly.
Curiosity held Dalahars attention. There was more at hand here than be thought. "You're here to help then? Good. Seems like the job of a specialist." He glances at Nina. "You saw it too?"
He felt s creeping presence in his mind, he could taste the breath on the air. It wasn't invasive or forceful thought, just emergent. Coming to the fore again? What do you want?
"I was perfectly fine until you opened your stupid mouth!" the man yelled at Candace. Anik's voice distracted him temporarily, and he looked away. "She better not have." he grumbled, the flames dying down slowly.
Outside the port
Ella nodded silently in agreement with the officer after the hologram finished. "Yeah, it doesn't look like he was aware of what happened." Looking over at Ed, she asked; "Can you transfer the file to one of our computers? Perhaps we can run a facial recognition on him and find out his identity." She then looked up at Dalahar; "You said you found an Earth First pin? May I see it?"

"See? Everything is alright." Anik said. "But ... can I ask what you are? It seems pretty dangerous to start using abilities just for an argument.
It was an ability, right? You starting to burn?"
"Here" Dalahar said, handing the pin over, his size apparent even more so as he drew closer.
Not right before, child of bone insults me, made flesh writhe. Useless as myself.
You must help must help while I can. We are strong together. Rage checked for now, you're endeavour here leads along a path most winding and pleasing. Heehehehheee

Across the street from where the grill restaurant was located, the air shimmered as space began twisting in on itself. Soon, a small noise resembling a pop was heard, whereupon a new arrival to the world appeared in a blue-tinted flash of light.
The arrival, at first glance, could be mistaken for a small molerat, with white fur, fuzziest at the chest, and red eyes. On closer inspection, however, it would show the trademark teeth of a molerat weren't present, nor did they have nostrils. The critter also had two small fleshy protrusions near the front of its face, and what may seem as a single on each side of the head, were actually four, very closely spaced together.
The critter wore a comparatively bulky black plastic collar, with an arm extending to the top of it, that split near the head, and ended with several electrodes that were placed on the head.
On arrival, the critter swayed a little, taking a moment to steady itself. Then, they looked around the area.
Outside the port "Thank you." - Ella said as she accepted the pin, wondering to herself how in hell she'd stop Dalahar if he went berserk again. She then took out a small datapad from a belt pocket and gave to Ed. "Place it on there, please."
Ella then looked back on the pin, examining it closely. She was surprised that the fire hadn't done more damage to it, or even covered it with soot.
