She got some breakfast for herself and Kuki, getting some help from the hotel staff. Eating hungrily, but without much enjoyment of it, she heard someone (Candace) arrive at their table as well, but as she did not know who it was, waited for her to greet first.
"Where are all the butlers? I had to make my own bloody tea!" Candace moaned to the others as if this was the end of the world, clearly still in the "cranky" stage of waking up.
"Maybe someone or something else slipped through." He mused "this isn't my strong point I must admit. I did however spent some time seconded to another legion." He said, tapping the hilt of the power dagger, the end or which was fashioned as a silver 3 headed hydra. "Alpha legion." He said "they are an..........interesting one, controversial even in their methods. I gained a lot of insight into more.......delicate methods of warfare from my time with them"

Don't really recommend it, though, it's much simpler to just put a coat on!"Entering the place where breakfast was being had, Kuki greeted those there, chipper, despite not having slept a great deal, and asked Anik to set them down on the table. There, Kuki stayed at the centre, well away from the edges. They looked curiously at what Anik was eating, then to Candace.

Anik was about to answer Candace, "Be glad that we even get rooms here for free, for now." but snorted and laughed when Kuki asked about the bloody tea. She left the explaining to Candace, however.
"How do you not know what tea is? ! And you don't actually put blood in the... Just watch." She grabbed a cup and a kettle, taking some tea leaves out of her pocket, and showed Kuki the steps of making tea. When it was done she added a little bit of milk, took a sniff of the unique scented tea, then drank and sat down with a relaxed sigh and a lifted mood. "Oh I feel so much better for that..."

Dalahar laughed, a strange sound that was robbed of any levity by the vox distortion. "I'm not entirely sure. The Alpha legion aren't like us in the word bearers or any other legion for that matter. They don't have a defining trait or tactic or preference of war. Mutable. That's how I'd describe them. Their tactics change every battle, every theatre, every skirmish. They strike with exactly what is needed. The interesting thing about them is the make extensive use of agents, for want of a better term. Humans mostly, trained to interact with certain factors where delicacy is required and astartes lack that trait. The alpha legion can fight a war purely with misdirection. Intelligence gathering, intentional leaks, false flag operations, political subterfuge, radical insurrection, double agents. Fighting the alpha legion is like fighting a myth, you never know what you come up against each time, most often foes find themselves beaten before they commit to battle without even realising the depth of the plots and strategies employed against them. The other legions see this as cowardly or wrong but I can see its merit"
Ella nodded, "Sounds like a black-ops unit. Kinda reminds me of what my organisation used to be like. It was created when the first anomaly occured. They waged a shadow-war for a few years, then tried to surpress extradimenionals. Eventually the original squad of soldiers got disgusted and revealed them to the world. That shit-storm lasted for years."

"The thing I was smoking was also just herbs. You can even make tea out of it." Anik said to Candace. She then got up, and got Kuki a glass of water, clicking to find her way to the hotel staff, which got her some impressed looks.
"Here you go." she stated to Kuki, while putting it down next to them. "Do you drink water too?" she asked.

Never saw the numbers on alpha legion forces but I'd say they are a mid strength legion. 175000 legionaries plus an unknown number of agents." He said, black ops perfectly describes the Alpha legion but they could still fight like a space marine legion. "Whereas the word bearers were around 250000 legionaries plus hundreds of thousands of...........auxiliaries. At least at the time I left anyhow"

To Kuki, she said: "Sorry ... maybe a breakfast bowl?" She let someone else pour it over. "There you go, now?"
