Anik was silent for a bit, then said: "I want to help them. Give them a way out, a way they haven't considered before. Entertain them, and if they want, let them join my tribe. Many are lost, and don't know what to do. This would give them purpose."

"Shana, Viyang, you and I will go to this crime scene. The others will explore the city." Candace told Fresh.

 

[Kirke]

After a couple of minutes, Shana and Nina emerged from the hotel. The group then headed towards the crime scene, with Ella leading the way.

 

[Chungus]

Montreal, Rue Hochelaga, March 2nd.​

"Are you sure that's a good idea?"

Kuki questioned.

"What if they decide they don't want to live in the jungle, after some time? If the way you used to get here is still in a experimental stage, then they'd be stuck in your world, wouldn't they?"

 

[Vakra jal]

"Affirmative" he said as they headed out, glad to be on the nice again

"Well, they have to think long and hard about the decision to come with me. I won't just take them, I'll tell them what it entails, living in the jungle and all that.
I don't expect many to come, but some are desperate, maybe orphans. They'd maybe be stuck for a bit, but I doubt for long, with the way the plant experiments are going. I would not do this here if I wasn't sure they could be happy there." Anik answered.

 

[ShindoL Shill]

Upon arriving at the crime scene, the group members that had gone there would see police keeping civilians away from the destruction. Some of the civilians were receiving medical treatment from paramedics. Most of the onlookers were worried, wondering what could possibly have caused the blast.

"Well, it sounds like you know what you're doing"

, Kuki said after a not too long a moment of thought.

"Make sure they're not carrying any diseases when taking anyone to your world, though. Even dormant ones. That could get out of hand really fast."

After saying this, Kuki returned to looking around. Seeing something close by, they placed their front paws on the rim of the pocket, and pulled themselves out a little more, leaning forward.

"Is that the biodome there?"

"Yeah. I guess I will make sure of that." Anik said, not completely convinced.

"No, that's the Olympic Stadium." Fernand said, as he led them into its direction. "But the Biodome is right next to it. We'll be there, shortly."

"I should participate in the Olympics some time." Anik joked, "But then, I guess they wouldn't take superpowered beings."

 

[Kirke]

Ella surveyed the scene, still listening on the police radio as well.

 

[Vakra jal]

"The deveatqtion here has already been wrought" he commented as he approached the officers.

 

[Chungus]

"Okay"

, Kuki said, slipping back fully into the pocket, and continued looking around the area.

"What are the Olympics?"

they asked when Anik mentioned them, figuring it had something to do with sports, knowing what a stadium was used for.

Candace looked over the blast to the injured people. "How badly are they hurt?" she wondered aloud to no one in particular.

 

[ShindoL Shill]

The officers Dalahar approached attempted to ward him off, obviously looking quite intimidated, by telling him he wasn't allowed on the scene.

Since her view was now on the ground, rather than aerial, Ella would see less of the area than had been shown on the news. However, being closer to the ground would allow her to see scorch marks on the road in a ring around the central car.

After a bit more of walking, the Biodome became visible after the Olympic Stadium, and Fernand changed direction, to go there. He let Anik do the talking.

"It's a huge sports event, where the best athletes of the world come together, to compete and celebrate. Human athletes. Don't know about here.
I heard about it because I was interested in sports. There are even paralympics, where disabled people like me can compete. I watched both on TV, it was fun. They have different disciplines, like running, swimming, shooting, things like that combined, ballgames, ..." Anik went on to describe, even talking about the differences between olympics and paralympics, at least until Kuki would shut her up.

"I won't be a bother" he said coming to a stop. "Ease yourself, you do admirable work" he said

 

[Kirke]

Ella walked as up to the blockade to get as good a view as possible. What am I looking for? Is this just an exploded car or is there something more to this?

 

[ShindoL Shill]

The cops relaxed a little, then looked from Dalahar to Ella. "Uh... can I help you two?" one asked, glancing at Ella's tattoo.

 

[Kirke]

"I'm assigned to accompany these guys." - Ella said, nodding towards the others; "They wanted to go here, so I came with them. I've got no involvement with your investigation. I am curious, though, so what would you tell a civilian who asked you what happened?"

 

[Chungus]

Initially, Kuki let Anik talk, listening to her mentioning the different sports, although not all that attentively, not very interested in the subject. When Anik began describing the differences, however, Kuki began getting bored. Kuki hesitated interrupting Anik, at first, thinking this was rude. They shifted a bit uncomfortable in the pocket, wriggling around, but eventually, decided to interrupted.

"I... I don't want to be rude, Anik, but I think I get the idea."
