Candace, blocked, went back and stood next to Nina, pouting and crossing her arms in a way that made her look more childish than the little girl currently standing next to her.

Anik just held Kuki for a bit, then put him back into the pocket. "It will probably get a little warm in there." said Fernand. "The first is the tropical rainforest."

He led them inside, and Anik was sweating almost instantly. "The perfect environment ... if you don't wear a winter coat." she stated, as she smelled and heard the typical rainforest environment. She even heard some animals, mostly birds. She breathed in and out. "This is somehow soothing." she stated. "I just don't like that we need to walk on whatever that is."

'Whatever that is' was a very average concrete footwalk, to look at the environment, but not get in it. Fernand began describing the different plants and animals to Anik, some of which she knew. Kuki could see birds, like parrots, different kinds of monkeys, even toads, ducks, fish, and a crocodile in lake.

They even went through a small cave, in which they could observe bats.

"That's all I can remember. But maybe I can smell a solution. I remember there being the scent of burnt hair back at the grill."

 

[Kirke]

"Can you identify a specific person by the smell of their burning hair? Because some hair will have been burnt here in any case."

The officer glanced over at Shana and asked, "What do you mean 'back at the grill'?"

 

[Slenn]

"Well, I'm gonna try. I mean, I can tell apart the scent of my mom from my dad. So.... perhaps." She shrugged.

"We were eating at a fire pit earlier. The name of it was..." She told the name. "Anyways, while we were eating this gentleman started raging, claiming he was a normal human. He then proceeded to catch on fire and storm out of the building. He then marched towards a car and zoomed off."

The officer looked a little surprised by the news, but then said, "Do you think it's the same car? This might explain the source of the explosion."

 

[Slenn]

"Well, I could only remember just over half of the license plate number. Ella over there wrote what I could recall. The numbers and color that I remember look like they match."

 

[ShindoL Shill]

"Right. Well, I'll need a statement on what happened in the grill." the officer said, as he began taking notes down. "And, can you smell anything familiar right now, or would you need to get closer?"

 

[Slenn]

Shana would relate the details pretty well as she was in the bar and close to the raging man.

"Well, let me try a whiff." She did so and would relate the details to the officer once done.

OOC: Shana's smelling would be in between that of a human and a wolf.

Shana would smell quite a bit of burnt flesh and hair, though through all that she might recognise the scent of the man who had been burning in the restaurant.

"Well, it's definitely jogging vivid memories. The scent does seem to match the man. Although there's a lot of burnt flesh and hair that's accompanying his smell."

"This is the man from the restaurant?" Candace asked, overhearing.

Montreal, Biodome. March 2nd.​

Entering the first section of the biodome, Kuki's eyes widened at the sights and scents, the trees, standing tall and imposing, carrying the scent of dew on leaves. Animals, vibrant and varied. Kuki was impressed, fascinated, and a little scared by it all. Adding the extra lenses in their eyes, Kuki began analysing the anatomy of every animal they could get a look at, wondering how they worked.

The humid heat, however, Kuki appreciated far less, both having a winter coat, and inside a lined pocket not making it very tolerable.

"I like it, but it's... sooo hot. Can someone carry me, please?"

they asked, panting a little.

[color=ff996]"What are you, 8?"[/color] Nina mocked Candace.

 

[Kirke]

Ella thought for a minute, then asked the officer; "Who's in charge here? I believe this case to be related to the one I've been working on, with the man who died at the Interdimensional Port yesterday."

"Sure." Anik said, and took Kuki out of her pocket.

"We'll get in a colder area, soon." Fernand said, and indeed, they arrived in the Laurentian Maple forest pretty fast. Anik breathed the air, sighing happily. "This isn't too bad, either. I think I would rather stay here than in the hotel."

Fernand kept on describing all the different animals, which were birds, porcupines, beavers, turtles, ducks and fish, and plants, mostly trees, to Anik. There even was a Lynx visible. The beavers were building on a dam.

"You're not alone in thinking that..." the officer mused, as he pointed Ella over to a different cop, who was looking around the crime scene itself.

"...what?" Candace asked Nina, looking to the little girl with shock.
