"That doesn't run away. But a murderer might." Anik stated, annoyed. She spoke into the phone again:
"I calmed the guy down, but then I let him go. And he exploded, killing innocents. I could have stopped that! I could have brought him in, or maybe stay with him, anything!" She sounded agitated, and was clearly not thinking straight. After breathing in and out for a bit, she calmed down again. "It's my fault.
Can you tell us where we should go?"
Fernand, worried Anik might step on him, picked Kuki up, and held him in his arms until Anik had calmed down. Then he put Kuki into her coat, after announcing it.
"Now wait a minute, you did exactly what you should have done. Keeping him where he was would have endangered you and others nearby. Yeah, somebody should have taken down his licence number and given it to the police. But you could hardly have done that, now could you? The man will be autopsied at the same police station as the last one, your seeing-guide should be able to guide you there."

Standing at Anik's feet, Kuki looked up to her, about to announce their position, when Fernand picked them up.

"I should have done more." Anik said, but kept calm. "Alright, we'll head there."
She hung up, then said to Kuki and Fernand: "We need to get to the police station we were at, before."
Fernand looked unhappy, but he did not dare to object. "We need to get back to the Metro." he stated shortly, then started to lead Anik and Kuki to the next metro station. "... I would have liked to go to Ile Bizard today, too. Maybe we still can, later, it's still pretty early in the day."

Anik was quiet as well, but visibly upset, while walking back to the metro. As Kuki asked, she answered: "No. I probably would be ... if I had a different past. Now I want to do everything to save people I can save, and if I fail, it's ... it should not happen. I deserve to get bad feelings from it, so I can try again, and again, to maybe one day really being able to be better than I was."

Hearing Anik's answer, Kuki was a little taken aback by it. Not sure what to say right away, they were quiet for a moment, then answered.
