- Hotel -​

The first angel managed to throw her spear at Ella, before being hit by her blast and Candace's gunshot. She tumbled again - only to get up again, the second angel having cast another spell.

Dalahar was able to backhand the spear, but while it was knocked away, it also caused some kind of weakening sensation on his arm, as energy went from the spear into his hand. Depending on the type of demon inside Dalahar, the energy might hurt a lot, or just cause minor discomfort.

Three soldiers stood in the first row, starting trying to hack at Dalahar with swords of the same kind of energy, while three stood behind, protecting their backs with their shields.

More energy started to surround all her soldiers and the angels, as White finished chanting, then started a different kind of chant.

 

[Chungus]

Montreal: ED Shelter, second floor​

"Yes!

Kuki answered, fidgeting about in Shana's hold.

"Wait, no! Ugh! Damnit!"

they exclaimed next, having changed their mind. They took a moment to clear their head, then answered more calmly.

"Okay, okay... , no, keep it closed. Not much point if you can't jump out. Barricade the door, though. Something... something that'll hold for a while, but something that you can easily move from this end."

 

[Vakra jal]

"Bah" he grunted. Kyrys writhes in agony within him and he feels much of the pain. He could not rely of the daemon here. Gritting his teeth he lets loose war cry and starts to fight. Guessing that these swords were similar it didn't matter if his armour protected him. He used his vambraces as guards to strike against the wrist when ever a sword stroke swung. That way he could defend himself without torturing Kyrys. To Ella he voxed "They are tough. I know I'm just being kept busy here.
Need to take out those flying ones. Affirmative on the leader"
His superhuman strength and reflexes multiplied by his armour gave him the edge he needed as aways. He aimed to grasp the wrist of an sttacked foe. Should he succeed in doing so he will try to drag the caught soldier with him. If it fails Dalahar turns the effort into a shunt to try and push the soldier he tried to grab backwards. Confident his strength was enough he executed the attack

 

[Kirke]

Ella dropped to one knee and ducked, letting the spear pass above her. She then fired again, this time at White. She switched to Dalahar's radio channel and said; "I'm having no effect on target. Focus on the leader, take her down and the rest might scatter!"

 

[Gearhead mk2]

Candace stood by Ella, pistol still trained on the one she had already shot. "Can we bring them to ground? I am a better swordsman than marksman."

 

[Silence]

White did the protective gesture again, rendering Ella's attack useless for the most part. She then picked up her chant again.

Dalahar managed to grab the wrist of one of the soldiers, but the other two, having their single attacks being countered started changing to a rhythm, attacking both at the same time, continuously. The strikes were made to weaken Dalahar, trying to hit him where he was the least protected.
One soldier from the back turned and replaced the position of the grabbed soldier.

Both angels began summoning new spears.

 

[Slenn]

Shana put Kuki on the bed, and then searched the room for something she could grab with two hands and move. She took the office desk and shoved it against the door.

"There, that should be easily movable in case things go south." She stopped talking and raised her ears to hear what was going on in the background.

 

[Kirke]

"The leader shrugs off my attacks. Switching target." Ella said to Dalahar, before glancing at Candace. "Candace, on my mark, fire at the one you're aiming at. I'll take a shot at Rooftop Gal. Three, two, one, mark!" - On 'mark', Ella fired at the angel on the rooftop, though the shot was not an easy one.

Candace followed the order, firing at her target.

 

[Drakmorg]

Nina yelped as she was suddenly yanked up and taken spe where else. [color=ff9966]"I'm fine."[/color] She replied, yawning again and rubbing one of her eyes. [color=Ff9966]"What's with all the noise?"[/color]

 

[Vakra jal]

Dalahar uses his combat knife to defend himself turning aside one blow, taking the blow he couldn't defend on his thick shoulder pauldrpns. While his strength was sapped somewhat his second heart had already been pumping refined and altered adrenaline through his body. His left arm gripping the wrist firmly before he tightened his grip suddenly like a vice. With a mighty roar of defiance he begins to hoist the grappled away to one side, to be used as a club to smash the soldiers formation apart. His roar continues as he yanks the soldier to his left.

Kyrys is incoherent. Unshakable faith is anethema to a creature of the warp. While To be destroyed it twists and writhes. Longing to be free and have its vengeance

 

[Silence]

As both angels were shot at the same time, none of them could support the other, and both tumbled down on the ground. There, they seemed to lower back into the ground. They were defeated.

White at the same time had finished her chant, which caused a new angel to appear, the same kind as the others.

The soldiers scattered to the side, trying to dodge Dalahars hit. Only the one in the middle was not able to, being hit square in the face and falling down. He kept lying there, unconscious or dead, but not dissolving like the angels.
The formation was scattered now.

 

[Kirke]

"I'll take out the new target. Candace, assist Dalahar but be careful. - Ella said as she aimed at the new angel, firing yet another shot. She took a quick glance at the weapon's readout, she'd fired seven of her twelve shots so far. And the extra ammo is in the armour. Merde!

 

[Gearhead mk2]

Candace rushed towards one of the soldiers in the broken formation, stabbing at his neck before he could rejoin the ranks.

"A woman and some spirits she summoned are attacking us. She was looking for Anik, but now she's fighting us all." Lambda explained.

 

[Vakra jal]

Releasing the hold he had on the soldier he had used as a club he raises a booted foot up briefly before bringing it down on the soldiers head with force, aiming to brutally finish his foe. The soldier he had smacked down could wait, having divided the formation. He now draws the Anathame, without knowing the names of his foes it is simply a dagger. Grunting he attacks the nearest soldier, hoping to kill another before they can recover. He attacks with fury, speed and strength. The combat blade aimed towards defence, trying to swipe at the shield of the foe while also slashing any attacks that the soldier might make. He had the aim of striking with enough force to sever its sword hand. The Anathame in his left hand tried to stab over the shield. He stayed close to his opponent, denying reach and using his size, power and relentless, yet to be frank dishonourable, onlslaught to attempt to bully his way through his opponents defence and finish him.

White did another protective spell as Ella shot, this time not to protect herself, but her angel.
Still, slight exhaustion seemed visible on her face.

The soldier Candace was stabbing at did not expect it. He turned after being stabbed, trying to hit her back with his sword, before going down.
The other soldiers noticed Candace now.

The angel was chanting, causing the one soldier Dalahar had knocked out to rise again.

The soldier Dalahar was attacking now tried to focus purely on staying alive, defending with his shield. He managed to hold out for a bit, but would be cut down after a bit of time.

The remaining 3 got back together, to get in formation.

 

[Vakra jal]

A brief moment and then he had him. One blade flashed across the soldiers hand before the other flashed across the neck. Before the soldier could fall Dalahar drove an elbow into his face. His enemy crumpled. Seeing as he had struggled to take even one of these enemies down and he was an officer of the Legiones astartes, he notices Candace and aims plans his next move.

Candace managed to hop back, avoiding the blow, though her blade remained lodged in the man. She quickly grabbed it, leaving her little time to deal with whatever the other soldier had planned.

[color=ff9966]"...Why?"[/color] Nina replied, her tone a mixture of tired and incredulous.

 

[Gearhead mk2]

"Anik allegedly did some bad things. That woman wants to bring her to justice. Some of the group wanted to defend Anik, and now..." Lambda tailed off.
