"Well, I did not tell you everything ... it's not me sustaining the portal, and I would have to tell others to close it, from my world.
Of course, if I come back empty handed, this won't go over well. So I'd rather not.

I don't know which laws I have broken, but if you would kindly tell me, I'll try to make amends.
I never heard that upholding a portal was illegal, though."

"My family collects magical objects... I made a mistake, a few were destroyed, and I was stripped of my title. I thought this was the only way to..." Candace regained her composure, for a second. "I am sorry to lay this all at your feet, but I thought a fellow lady would understand..."

Faa eyes Zevrisya quizzically. He then does a quick check of himself. Tail. Check. Wings. Check. Horns. Check. Scales. Check. Awkward size of Scath adolescence being bigger than a normal human and thus easier to spot and hard to move through their cities. Check. "Please tell me how I'm not going to attract attention as soon as I leave this alley."

When Lambda grabbed Raz from the architecture he was holding on to, he yelled out. "Wait no stop!!!" As Lambda brought him closer to the water the watery hand that had been beckoning to Raz melted back under the waters surface before instantly popping up beneath Raz and Lambda, grabbing Raz, and pulling him under with extreme force.

Raz fought the cursed watery hand, thrashing beneath the surface, eventually getting it to let him go. The watery hand was the result of a curse placed on Raz's family long ago that doomed them to die in water, however, Raz had always had a knack for escaping his fate in the few instances in which the waters had gotten the better of him. Raz reached the surface to find himself on a familiar beach. The cursed hand had connected itself between the worlds just to get Raz, and had dragged him back to his own world.
