She turned to Shana, to distract herself from her thoughts. [color=99d039]"Fenrir ... the name makes sense.
But you still have civil rights conflicts in the future? ... or, again? That is sad."[/color]

"The human body is delicate. Reconstructing it is dangerous and difficult, and at least where I'm from its more of a vanity project than anything practical." Candace replied.

"The history is complicated. Humans may be stronger in their own collective knowledge compared to today. But 1500 years is a drop in the bucket comparison to the age of the universe. I feel as though humans still have ways to go before they completely abolish such things. I am a history buff, and I believe we can use the knowledge of the past to preserve our future."

"Very well. I hope to see you soon." Ullia replied. She then began chanting, in a similar way to Yauna but with much less harsh-sounding tones, her voice almost melodic. Anik would feel a familiar tug, and be brought to the plane she was native to.

That is to say, the world she was born on.

Anik would feel the spell forcing her to remain on the plane for a minute, however after the full 60 seconds she would feel the arcane force fade and she would be left on her homeworld.

Zev grinned again, seeming quite proud of herself.

I just... want to carry something sometime again. This disability ... it does not stop me from doing anything, but it can be quite the annoyance, still."[/color]

Otherworld

Anik walked and listened for a while. It took not too long for her to figure out that she was not where she wanted to be.
She thought she could not blame Ullia to much about where she had landed, but she still felt sad and angry.
And she felt hate.

And just a few hours later, a mage, scrying for her, picked her up and brought her into a certain throne room.

She was greeted by a Blue, who was preparing to head to Ottawa. Even though she did not really want it, Anik knew what to expect from her, and took solace in that.
And she agreed to head out, together with Blue.

Sarah was still very unsure about Zev.

"Well, the cobalt and molybdenum are used to create warpgates. They orbit around planets and are managed by the Interplanetary Department of Transportation. There's robots with human intelligence, cyborgs, and transhumans. The latter of which are pretty much the most powerful technology humans have devised."

Forefront HQ​

"Very good. Then we shall receive you, shortly.

Until then. Goodbye." With this said, Holent hung up. He blew a sigh, then began making preparations.

Two minutes after the call, a portal opened in the throne room, leading to Forefront's portal room. Present there, was Holent - who was quite surprised to see Anik with Blue - a technician, standing at the controls in the booth, and two hovering cone-shaped robots with arms. The robots would take the cloaking devices and carry them off.

Once Blue, Anik and the mages were in the room, the portal was closed, and set to open in Ottawa, once the mages made their alterations to it; the exit located in an inconspicuous alleyway. Holent mentioned he would make contact with Blue again, before the day was done, but kept why to himself, for the time being.

As Blue and Anik stepped through, a Watcher flew through behind them, which would then fly up and establish a connection to Forefront HQ.

With this done, the portal closed again.

[color=e50000]"Mostly it's just the temperature ... there are no non-magical implants who can take the heat. Like, even the really advanced ones have problems with magical heat ... because I also can only melt metal.
And I need implants to use these prosthetics, even if I don't use them all the time.

Yauna appeared in a small chamber, lined with arcane sigils which she had directed her spell towards. She would wander through the grand buildings for some time, coming across a room with a silver mirror. After some chanting, she attempted to scry on Anik to locate her. Finding nothing, as a consequence of Anik being on a different world, Yauna went to speak with Ullia.

After a brief conversation, Yauna groaned. Do I go back, and hope Blue doesn't have me killed for betraying her, or do I remain here for the time being and leave this mess behind me?

Zev glanced down at Sarah and asked, [color=660099]"You feel kinda... uneasy about something. What's wrong?"[/color]

"These are people who have uplinked themselves to a quantum computer. The human intelligence and creativity is integrated with the machine hardware to expand the computational power thousands of times over. It has been shown that the best candidates for transhumanism are the elderly. The first one, White, was too young and ended up losing a bit of his sanity during the transition. He then set lose the Germ Wars. But that is another tale entirely. Most of them help on Earth, advising others and providing computational power to scientists and engineers. There are a few that have retired and have gone on beyond Earth."

South Africa, Johannesburg​

When scouting parties of extradimensionals were reported approaching Johannesburg and a larger force was spotted on satellite rapidly approaching, XPOL agents in the area took charge of the immediate response. Civilians were told to evacuate if they could, or otherwise enter bomb shelters or cellars. The regular police set out heavy guard posts to protect clusters of civilians, while the military forces scrambled to form a defensive line. Aircraft from a nearby base were launched, and radio signals were transmitted on all bands demanding the extradimensionals identify themselves and cease their aggression. The XPOL ETR squad was prepped and ready, to be sent where ever needed. Nobody mentioned that there would be many places where their skill would be needed.

"But you have excellent control of your flames." Candace seemed surprised that Dala was having trouble with this.

Sarah's thought process was slightly warbled. Because if she, right now, would say 'I'm not a lesbian', it could leave her in a more embarrassing situation. After all, right now, everything was fine. But if she said that, she would either lose her chance to see another world, or worse, make everyone else think she was thinking dirty thoughts. Which might make Zev, if she was really lesbian, really try to woo her.
Or she was not, and the whole situation would be far too awkward to handle for Sarah, without being in another costume and role.

So she answered Zev: [color=99d039]"It's nothing. Everything is fine."[/color]

She then listened to Shana. After she was done, she said: [color=99d039]"Quantum computers ... and humans connected to it ... that sounds awesome!
How long did this take to develop? And ... Germ Wars does not sound too good.
Can you actually say things from the future so we can avoid them, and not screw up the ... some kind of timeline?"[/color]

Library of Eradienne, Some Time Later​

The bounty hunter arrived in the dimension, orbiting around the planet in her 180 meter long frigate. It was a very old ship, maintained by a crew of robots and carrying a mean punch. After some basic scanns, the bounty hunter contacted the bounty shop for more accurate information on her mark. After being told that one portal had opened and closed, then another a few hours later, the bounty hunter decided to go investigate the most recent portal location. She took a small shuttle down, as she figured it was best to avoid gathering too much attention.

Landing some distance away from the library in as much cover as she could find, the bounty hunter donned a simple cloak to cover her futuristic clothing before setting out towards the library. She was soon knocking on the door.

[color=e50000]"Well, thing is ... flames are not matter, and they are also only destructive. I can let these flames touch something, but it will just burn.
And it's energy, not matter, I have no way of controlling matter. I don't know why, but I only have an affinity for fire magic, no other. I can not even learn them."[/color]

Blue had taken Anik by her hand, and changed her own appearance in that of the blonde woman. She led her to 24 Sussex Drive - the widely known residence of the prime minister of Canada.

"I promise you, you don't need to kill anymore, if you don't want to." Blue said. "Your ability is far more important."

Anik nodded silently and depressed.

"I can sense him*, and I can calm your mind if you feel too stressed out. But we have to find this mind and heart, and know all about it."

Together, their minds connected, they sought to sense the prime minister of Canada.

(*him referring to the prime minister, if it's a woman, it's obviously a her)

"Unfortunately I can't do anything. This is not the same timeline as mine is. The Germ Wars would've only existed in my universe. However different calamitous events will most likely occur. Especially with so much traffic going through this world. It will be impossible to prevent extreme conflict without further investigation of how extradimensionals will behave. XPOL does have a handle on extradimensional activity. But I feel like more thorough investigation is needed before this explodes. After all, 10 years of development in a skill does not necessarily mean maturity or coordination is assured. It has been shown time and again that history can be unexpected. The best way to prevent conflicts is to learn from past conflicts and to hold the peace."

The pair would be able to sense the hearts of a few people, among them the Prime Minister's. The hearts would be human, some of them quite virtuous and charitable, however others were more prideful and even greedy. None of them were intensely skewed in any one direction, nor would they feel like the hearts of those being influenced by the tattooist.

Outside the library, there was a sound of whining engines and stuttering electricity as a nearby van broke down. It was painted steel, and had hover jets instead of wheels, but this apparently didn't render it immune to mechanical failure. It hit the ground with a large metal thud.
