Recently, my fan fell off my bed and smashed against the floor. It sounded like a bomb had gone off beside me.

Once my Dad decided it would be funny to throw ice at my head from the freezer. Like the kind of ice that accumulates on the inside of old freezers so that when scrape it off it's oddly like snow.

It was the middle of summer.

I thought it had snowed.

Rage ensued.

When I was a kid my dad would wake me up for school by bursting in and waving a blowtorch in my face. It certainly got me up in a damn hurry.

We all got pretty drunk when my friends and I went to the lakes a couple of years back, so I didn't wake up when the matress underneath me got carried out of our caravan and outdoors. What DID wake me up was a cold hard drop into Lake Windemere. I don't think I've ever been so cold in my life o_O

Many, may years ago, I had an alarm clock that sounded just like the fire alarm my school at the time used. This lead to some extremely confusing moments both waking up when the alarm went off and being awake when the fire alarm went off at that school. What a mind-fuck.

I was having a bad nightmare and I actually screamed in my sleep so loud that it woke me up... That was freaky...

Though I haven't been woken up in a weird or horrible way, I can imagine this being a horrible way.

My dog came running to my room and hit my girlfriend's arm with his cold nose. This woke my girlfriend up rather suddenly and her elbow hit my nose, braking it in two places.

A stranger gently shaking me in the middle of a Subway restaurant, and my mom freaking the FUCK out off to the side. I'd fainted waiting in line. Apparently it's a common thing for adolescents to do, hypoglycemia and all.

my friend rolled over and he slapped my face. well, we were both only in our underwear so not horrible... but another friend was two feet away (but still asleep.)
to this day, he doesnt know about it and i have no idea how he ended up on top of me. all i know is we were sober.

strange part is, his body was draped across me and that never woke me up...

Waking up to the feeling of being grabbed by the shoulders and urgently shaken when I was the only person at home was a rather odd experience.

Oh, and being woken up by the sound of lighting striking just outside my window fucking sucked too. Additionally so because it was five in the fucking morning. It's always nice to start the day by being jolted awake by a deafening thunderclap and almost falling out of bed.

Edit: Actually, come to think of it, I remember one that was much worse than either of the other two:

Waking up with terrible stomach cramps, somehow managing to stumble into the bathroom and throw up, only to collapse on the floor, screaming and sobbing in pain for some half an hour. I must've completely forced that one out of my memory. Man, that sucked...

2 days ago I woke up to my friends dog lying on me licking my face (he has a very big dog as well), what makes it better is that both my arms were numb from lying on them so I couldn't do anything about it.

A large poster of Ezio falling off the wall and onto my head at 4am. It was the thick, plastic-y kind of poster too, a lot heavier and stiffer than regular paper.

Damn you blu-tack...
I had this one, except instead of Ezio it was Jack from Nightmare Before Christmas.

And it was after I had seen Paranormal Activity for the first time.

If I ever have a heart attack, I'll be amazed it didn't happen right then.

This is wholly balanced out by the best way I've been woken up, though. Best morning ever.
