I may get a strange look for this, but who's that? =P
Edward Elric is the main character from Fullmetal Alchemist [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fullmetal_Alchemist].

Oh, and no worries... I'm sure people will give me strange looks for suggesting Elric.

...The fuck?
Happened to me to mate.. "i love you too much to see you like this etc etc"
Hahaha. No I'm not laughing at you guys, but you should be laughing with me. It's pathetic when a girl says that. It happened to me at a party so I just turned around and said "Fine, you admitted you're a lying whore, now fuck off because everyone sees you for what you are, there's nothing left for you to feed on" then grabbed a beer and started dancing again. No time for regret, the only way is forward!

I started and ended a long-distance relation-ship on MSN, spending 1 year convincing this crazy Australian girl called Rose to not slit her wrists.

Why'd I end it? Because she was stupid.
Change the name, change the country, and that's pretty much the same thing I was going to say. <.<

GF: Hey hun, what're you reading?

Me: White Fang.

GF: You know what you should really read?

Me: *not looking up* I'm not reading Twilight.

GF: You haven't even read it! If you haven't seen how it is, how can you judge it?

Me: *still not looking up* Read the first three chapters. Felt nauseous. Set it down and picked up something better.

GF: If you don't read it, I'm breaking up with you.

Me: *still not looking up* Alright. Sorry things ended over a sub-par teenage romance novel. See you around.

I'm generally a nice guy to the people I like, but I can be quite cold when particularly angered/agitated. In my defense, she wasn't my one of my smartest choices from the past, and I was contemplating breaking up already.

My brother got dumped by his younger girlfriend for being "too old and wanting things to get too serious". Turns out she's cheating on him with his friend whose 10 years older than he is, who is married with children. WTF? Skank whore.

A friend of mine really wanted to dump his girlfriend but she wouldn't really take the hint, so he just took it upon himself to be the biggest bastard to her that he could be. She took that hint... eventually.

I got dumped once because when we went to a fancy party he said that I looked like a real proper lady and I laughed and said that I would never be a proper lady in any sense of the word. Apparently I shattered his dreams that night (his actual words)... which was odd given the reason he told me he was interested in the first place was because I was opinionated, independent and different.

He said he loved me too much. Made no sense.
In all honesty, that's one of the reasons I broke up with one of my ex's.

I had some severe self-confidence issues at the time, and I figured she'd be better off with someone else. Apparently, that somehow came down to me "loving her so much that I just want her happy even though it's not with me" (OHLOLOLOL CLICHE INDEED).

Dramatic stupid teenage bullshit.

Anyway, the stupidest reason I've seen a relationship end was because this girl's boyfriend wouldn't play WoW with her.

The stupidest reason I broke up with a girl was because she moved and I didn't get to see her except once every two months. It makes me feel shallow and shitty that I "had to be with her" more than that, but when I look back at it, it's stupid because she would have been home often during winter/spring breaks...

Oh well, lost opportunities.

Ok *pulls out list*...

Because she wasn't physically attracted to me anymore (and then she came running back a day later, needless to say it was to late, I mean it hurt, I'm not a bad looking guy.)

Because I was to good for her, this one REALLY made no sense to me, she reckoned that she'd end up hurting me, when leaving me was probably the most hurtfull thing she could do.

No reason at all, yep, just said sorry, it's over. I could never figure this one out, things seemed to be going great.

All I can say is, as much as they hurt (and I still have feelings for one of the lasses, but that's another story) I'm probably better off without them, I mean there has to be someone out there who likes me for who I am? right? RIGHT? *Goes to cry in a corner*

Angst.

Typical teen angst.

Luckily, a few years later, we got a second chance together. We've both matured heaps and we can look back and laugh at ourselves.

But damn.. The first breakup was pathetic.

One day when I was walking down the hall carrying my girlfriend's books and chatting she goes
"So I went to a wedding over the weekend, got really hammered, and woke up in bed with three guys and I felt really good."
Needless to say, I dropped her books in the middle of the hall, did an about face, and never spoke to her again.

Another gf I had said she couldn't continue the relationship because she was Indian and I was white and if we had kids they would be an odd skin color.

That crap angers me NO end.

Come on, girls, give the good guys a chance, even if they're not as studly as the dumb fucker who likes slapping you around.

I'd hope we've progressed past the neanderthal point of needing someone who can wrestle a sabre toothed tiger for dinner and look towards someone who'll look after you in other ways.

I keep hearing this 'caring=boring' thing, and I just don't have it in me to be a hollow philandering bastard.

I broke up with a chick because she would constantly annoy me by reading out loud, over my shoulder random lines of what i was reading...

My wife now does the same thing to me. I just do it back.

Got dumped once because she thought I was one of those good guys who would be better off being friends with and way too skinny for her taste. Luckily found someone else to be with.

Not the weirdest break up, but the following events we're pretty weird.
After a few months of seeing this girl I realized I really didn't like anything more than her body and was juts using her a rebound.
I'm not sure what ran through my head, but I figured if I just started treating her like crap, pretty much only talking to her when she's undressed that she'd figure it out and dump me, save me the hassle of having to dump her.
Evidently not, after 2 weeks of me treating her like crap, I had to confront her about it, the convo went something like this;
"I'm treating you like shit, why haven't you broken up with me yet"
"Because I really like you"
".....oh"

I then did man up and dump her, not the most eloquent break up though.
What I found hilarious was that after I broke up with her, she was so disillusioned with men that she became a Lesbian for 8 months.

Jesus Christ man, what's with you that you can do all that and she still wants to stay with you, AND breaking up with you makes her a lesbian.
