James strolled out of the gym and thought he might take a look at the non magic clubs over at the terraces. It was certainly a lot quieter out here and he noticed one stall in particular was completely abandoned. On closer inspection James realised it was something to do with the library.

"Oh cool an unattended stall! This should be fun!" James a produced a piece of paper he'd nicked from a stall in the gym and quickly wrote. "New Library Rule Change: Feel free to talk loudly on your mobile phone and pursue individuals with a gun through the library. Loud shouting is also encouraged. By order of MEC Leader Damien Lier." James was startled to see his untidy scrawl change right before his eyes into an impressive multi-coloured fancy script and realised the paper must have a spell on it.

"Wow, this will get some members to this stall!" James took out his bottle of glue and quickly stuck the sign he made to the front of the stall before sneaking off.

Gavren---

After he was fully ready, he went down to the cafeteria to get some food. A guard was standing at the end of the hallway where his room was and then began to follow as he went the opposite direction. He wouldn?t be able to lose him for a bit.

Maybe if I figure out my Mo Plate I can get away?

At the Cafeteria, he waited in line for a bit and then got his food and promptly sat down. The cafeteria was nearly empty, it seemed students choose other places to get food, places his guards would block him from going. While he sat down a student came over and sat down across from him. He appeared to be about two years older than he was and more built.

?So, I heard you got the Mo Plate? Been using it?? Asked the student without even introducing himself.

Gavren looked up from eating. ?If I knew how to use it, I would have. Maybe.?

?I know a bit about Mo Plate, I am a bit of a nerd when it comes to all things Magic. Do you even know how it works??

?No.?

The man sighed. ?Basically, it cancels out magic.?

So that?s what Damien meant by it can?t use Magic.

Gavren was more interested then he intended and asked further. ?So, how does it work??
?That you will need to figure out by yourself. You?re after all a new student.?

His head sank, finally he knew what it was but the man wasn?t going to help him. The man laughed and got up and left the table. Once Gavren finished up and left the Cafeteria, he noticed a large number of students advertising clubs.

As Kelsey walked out onto the terrace she saw a mass of people congregating at one of the stalls. At first she assume it would be a sports-based club or cheerleading, but she walked past them relatively early... They had a few people around, but not nearly as many as this other one. It wasn't until she was on the edge of the crowd that she figured it out. It was her stall! They were surrounding it. This... this wasn't right. Not only was the library stall not abandoned as she thought it would be, it was actually the source of this army of students. How could that be? For a moment she wanted to push past the students to see what could attract so many people, but it was obvious enough when she saw the sign. 'New Library Rule Change.' They... they changed her rules! That couldn't happen, right? They were her's... No-one else could change them. That was the entire point of them being HER rules! Who was it?

'By order of MEC Leader Damien Lier.' No. No. That wasn't something he could do. There was no way he could be allowed to do that. He'd done more than enough to disrespect her rules, but to veto them entirely? She refused to believe that anyone considered to be a decent enough person to teach others would flaunt whatever power they had in such a way. At least, she wanted to... But when presented with such evidence as yesterday and this sign, she wasn't so sure...

The sign was obviously nonsense, regardless of whether it was truly Damien's handiwork or some prank, so it wasn't a pressing matter to attend to. She was a little worried that some people may take it seriously though. Those people could make things difficult... For a moment her hand hovered around her plate in her inner jacket pocket, her mind searching hopelessly for some spell to use, but her hand dropped to her side a second later, and she walked away without a word.

I thought more people would've posted something, regardless of whether it had anything to do with what I was doing or not, but apparently not... What's up with that?

I have no idea what happened to everyone, one day we were getting reasonable amounts of posts the next things just went dead. Not really sure what can be done about this until others return.

I was waiting for Xero to post with Damien's response, but I guess I'll just have Damien chasing Sam around the school about his filing preferences.

Sam spotted the crowd, and raised his brow, nodding to Damien telling him he'd see him later in Sam-ese he walked around, his coat fluttering adequately to make people notice some Sophomore they'd never seen before, and hence give him a path, he walked up to the sign and chuckled at the library committee girl he saw walking away, tearing down the sign and rolling his eyes at the students that believed it condecendingly enough to give the message, he jogged after the librarian "Oi!" He ran up to her, after throwing the sign on the stone and tile ground, away from any other flammables and using his fire spell on it, incinerating the fakery, that is.

"That wasn't Damien. Just one of his many... admirers... trying to cause trouble. I know it wasn't Damien because I've been with him, and on my way to his stall, I saw yours completely empty. Then I was with him all that time, he's been tending his own stall. Not to mention, this isn't something he would do." The Librarian would probably recognize him as that quiet kid, who seemed to spend all his time at a table reading magical theory and application all day. Amicable, but antisocial.

Sofia nodded and gave a small wave goodbye to Damien. "Alright, we can work out the details later. See ya!" She said, before walking off to take a look at the other stalls. Well... I guess I might as well kill some time before that match he was talking about. I wonder what kind of fight it will be between the wrestling and boxing captains? A magic battle maybe?

Sofia silently pondered it while making her way through the crowds. And then an interesting thought struck her. What if all the sports were like that? Being new to magic still, having spells like the one Will had cast on her yesterday being done to her during a soccer match didn't sound like much fun. She hoped that wasn't the case, but there was only one way to find out. Between studying and soccer and her new MEC commitment, she had just gotten a lot busier in the past hour.

"Oi!" Kelsey stopped walking and turned, raising the brim of her hat to see a boy. She knew of him, but not really enough to know why he would talk to her. She didn't even know his name, she only knew him as the one who hung around the library almost every day and sat at the same table every time. Whenever she had thought about asking him why the other library members had told her to forget about it. She had assumed at the time that he just liked the peace and quiet, much the way she did, and had left him alone for the entire first year.

"That wasn't Damien." Oh. He was thinking that maybe she would take it seriously, and was covering for Damien... It wasn't all that surprising to find someone defending him. "Just one of his many... admirers... trying to cause trouble." The way he said that made her think he might have known exactly who it was, but she couldn't call him out on it. "I know it wasn't Damien because I've been with him, and on my way to his stall, I saw yours completely empty. Then I was with him all that time, he's been tending his own stall. Not to mention, this isn't something he would do."

"I thought so..." This only meant now that she had no idea who might have done it. Anyone could have written it, and almost everyone in the school could have a reason for wanting to slander Damien. If that wasn't the case they could just be using him as a scapegoat, so really it could have been absolutely anyone except Damien...

She supposed this was just typical... Now that her safety net was gone, everything was messing up faster she than could deal with it. She half-heartedly muttered her thanks to Sam, more out of instinct than genuine gratitude, and started walking away again.

When James later swung by the non magic clubs again he was pleased to see there was still some sort of crowd around the library stall, discussing his sign. However when James drew closer he noticed his sign was missing and was filled with annoyance that someone would callously destroy his handiwork.

"Hard work doing people a good turn in this place eh?" James shook his head in mock disapointment and strolled off. James decided he should probably wait until someone requested his help in adverstising a stall instead of wasting his time. He figured it would probably be a better idea to leave signs elsewhere like on dorm room doors and immediately began thinking up all the possible signs he could stick to peoples door.

Sam raised his eyebrow "No problem. Hey, if you need some help in the library, tap my shoulder, I'll most likely be at the table." he nodded to her, and walked the other direction

All around him, the crowd pushed, surged, barged. Everyone was making noise, casting minor spells, or simply eyeing up the nearest stall. Attention was everywhere, and aimed at anything.

Except on him.

Will's mind squirmed. The spell he was running was designed to cause invisibility, but without the tedious and complicated redirection of an insane number of photons. This spell shifted attention away from him, fading him out of the mental foreground and making him practically invisible. Which, it turned out, was almost as bad.

Another crowd of girls passed him by, and he felt his brain writhe as he fought to divert half a dozen new focuses of attention. He really should have tried this somewhere else before going somewhere with so many people, but hell, why not go for the trial by fire? And besides, it worked, didn't it?

Moving slowly, so as to reduce the mental strain of hiding sudden movements, he slipped up to the MEC table and added his name to the list. Then, he faded away into the crowd, the people making an unwitting corridor for him, as the moved out the way of someone who was only half there.

Gavren---

Looking at the clubs, naturally for him, he was more drawn to the Non-Magic clubs in hope of some normalcy. The crowd of people was a bit of an annoyance, as he didn?t get far. He noticed one club getting high attention, the MEC club. A magic club. He didn?t know where he would go. A club may hinder his chance of achieving his plan. Though, the MEC club may help him learn more of the school overall and in the end is a benefit. Especially as the MEC would come with benefits of its own.

Seeing not a huge interested in the other clubs, he went over and signed himself up for the MEC, in hope that he could figure out a way sooner rather then later.

Kelsey thought about taking Sam up on that offer, but by the time she wanted to say anything at all he was gone. Oh well. He probably couldn't have helped her all that much, and she'd be able to have more peace and quiet this way... maybe. If she even ended up going through with it... She tried her best to keep her momentum, but as she reached the edge of the terraced stalls she slowed to a halt.

She fought with the nagging little voice in her head telling her to stay. On one hand, she didn't want to stay here. She wanted to just get to the library and lock the entire world out and lose herself in a book. On the other, her fear of what consequences might lie in store for her kept her rooted there. She had no intention of looking after the stall either way, so... maybe she should stay? By this point of her train of though there was no chance she could leave. She had left her exit far too long and now, once again, her fear won over her and she berated herself for her inability to overcome that fear. She quietly sighed to herself then started to go from stall to stall in the magic section. At least walking around here would give her a reason to not be at her own stall.

Her attention went from club to club, never really sticking too long on any since she couldn't sign up to anything anyway, before arriving at the potion club's stall. A lot of the stuff here was rather interesting, as per usual. She imagined that if she had not been so drawn to the library that she might have been able to get into potions instead. She briefly wondered if it would be possible to use magic to check this possibility before bringing her attention back to the array of freebie potions on display. There were a lot of them, each bubbling or frothing or sparkling, with each one as visually interesting as the last. They all had little labels attached too, though none gave names or effects. Only instructions for using them.

One particular concoction drew her attention more than the others; it was a small beaker filled with a reddish gel, with small swirls of every hue suspended within. She could vaguely see her own reflection in the beaker if she looked closely enough, though something seemed different about it. The label simply read "Drink". She took this one and put it in her pocket, being careful not to pull the stopper out by accident and spill it, before going to look at some more stalls while fruitlessly trying to gather enough courage to leave.

"Well this is where I leave you Edgar."

This was Edgar's Uncle final words before leaving Edgar at Cascade. "You're a bit late but if you hurry you might be able to join a club. I'm going to head to the dorms to drop off your belongings. Have fun Edgar." Alex said before he took off to drop off Edgar's bags, leaving Edgar nervous at the school entrance. Great...No idea where to go, god I hate starting school late. Edgar ventured further into Cascade and took notice of clubs being advertised after a few minutes of walking.

He felt very out of place, people didn't seem to much trouble deciding for clubs to sign up for. In a normal school Edgar wouldn't feel so uncomfortable but here in Cascade he knew no one and no one knew him. He was incredibly annoyed with the fact he wasn't at the first day of school which would've at least allowed him to meet someone.

He did see a group that caught his eye. The MEC group, Edgar was more than curious on what exactly it was. It certainly garnered a deal of attention. Edgar approached the crowd around the MEC table and asked the man at the table, "Excuse me, what is this group? It seems to be getting attention."

Hey I just got accepted. Xero said he would add my character to the list. Hard to make an opening post to an already in progress RP like this so hope this is well.

Still invisible, Will watched as the kid entered the hall, looking around in confusion. He didn't know anyone, and seemed to ignore the minor bits of magic going around him.

What if he's new here, as of today? He'll have missed all the magic intros! This should be interesting...

Picking up some unguarded stationary, Will wrote a message on a scrap of paper and slipped it into the new guy's pocket.

I don't what you did to deserve this, but be careful; this is where the rich send the ones that ashame them, and most of the kids are crazy. Be careful, and don't trust what they say...

James returned back inside the gym and saw MEC stall was still attracting some sort of crowd, even without the help of James' signs. For a moment James thought he caught a glimpse of someone vaguely familiar but then his mind went blank and he forgot all memory of it. Will's spell was certainly effective. Instead James found himself looking at someone he didn't recognise. Normally James would just assume he had missed the boy yesterday and just keep walking but he noticed a piece of paper protruding from his pocket. Unable to quell his curiousity, James approached him.

"Hey! You probably know already but there's a piece of pocket nearly falling out of your pocket, you might want to move it."

Sam had cast Clear Clean, and become entirely invisible, however there was a another bright student using a misdirection spell, and while it was effective, Sam was patient enough that he was slowly pinpointing the student

Edgar took notice of the paper in his pocket and read it. Good to know. Muttering thanks to the one to pointed the paper out, Edgar broke away from the MEC stall and began exploring the rest of the club activities. He decided if this was a magic school then surely some kids must be doing magic in front of him. The problem was to see if he could even register anything but the most obvious spells. Let's look again at some other clubs, Something new but close to home might be well.

James watched him leave with an amused look on his face, thinking the note was some sort of death threat probably. The event gave James another idea though and he made his way past several stalls, nicking paper whenever he could. When he had gathered enough he took them outside the gym and began to write various threats and nonsense messages on them before stuffing them into his own pockets. Unfortunately he now needed a spell that would allow him to plant these notes around the school without people noticing. James leaned against wall outside the gym and began to think about his options. He could try find an invisibility spell or something similar or maybe he could use his distracting spells to remain unnoticed another way.

Gavren---

In the gym, he noticed students from his first-period class the previous day. Then he remembered their little contest that got out of hand. You would think that even in a school of magic there would be limits on student?s behaviors and their magic uses. Many of them seemed to be joining the MEC club. Great? Though he noticed another student, one he didn?t recognize from the day before. Maybe a more normal person? Truth be told, he didn?t recognize half of the student body, but he didn?t care much for it.

He seemed different, maybe? The man walked away from the MEC club stall with a paper. Gavren took this chance to speak with him. He walked up to him, keeping his cool, but not letting off his, I don?t want to be here attitude.

?Hey, I noticed you at the MEC club stall. What?s your name??

Edgar turned around when he heard someone seemingly talking to him. Sure enough, as he turned around, there was a student standing in front of him. Trying to pull of a kinder attitude then he had been giving off all morning he smiled and responded with, "Edgar Galloway, I wasn't here yesterday so you probably wouldn't recognize me. I have no desire to join that MEC club though. I don't like the look of it."
