Val looked at Audrina "hey, I'm tougher than I look, besides I was going to go travelling in rural Asia, I have medical supplies." Val opened her pack and dug out her First aid kit. She popped a few Aspirin with the drink. She then pulled out two small elastic braces, one for ehr hand and one foe the ankle. "I've rolled my ankle while hiking on a mountain in the Dominican before, pretty nasty. I swore to myself I'd bring these babies with me whenever I did something similar." She pulled the splint over her hand, tugging the cardigan back down, all you could see was the edge of the canvas stopping short of her knuckles and thumb joint. She began to take off her boot and sock underneath. Her foot looked look purple and swollen, she rolled up her jeans only exposed more of the swelling. Val whimpered when she looked at it, put dutifully pulled on the foot brace, it hurt because of the tight elastic, but that was the point. when it was on her toes became darker because of the blood being forced into them. Putting her socks and boots back on she motioned to the pack "Anyone else is welcome to whatever I have, it's not a hospital, but it is more equip than most." It had gauze, tape, hydrogen peroxide, thread and needle, bandages. Pretty much anything that wasn't mortal could be treated.
"So um, since you don't seem to be falling asleep anytime soon, mind telling me how you got here?" Val looked at them intensely. She made no reference to Rachel's death, physically or verbally. She barely knew her, and it just didn't seem real yet. The emotions hadn't sunk in, and as far as she knew, these people were a part of what was going on. Rachel gave in...to easily. Finch tried to hard to be jovial. Greg seemed the most normal, but she still didn't feel right about any of them. But should she fake the emotion? What if she was looking too far into it and she was making herself look suspicious? Well if they're real then they'll be too distraught to notice my straight face. Best to ignore Rachel.
