Muse at liverpool echo arena october 2009.
Got me into concerts I suppose. Been to see dozens of bands since. Best stage i've ever seen though. Wasnt so much a show to be involved in but it was a great show to just stand in awe and watch.... pretty laser lights
Hello there!
Muse, November 2008, on their Resistance Tour, at the Glasgow SECC. Me and my mate were up in the stands, thinking "this is gonna be shit, all the way up here" and a poor support performance from the usually excellent Big Pink didn't help. But Muse came on and filled the place up. As soon as those covers fell to reveal the PILLARS OF LIGHT, it was like "all rise for the national fucking anthem!" There were these middle-aged blokes dancing round in the aisle, this couple in front of us who bought us some booze, a mental mum up behind us with a little kid frantically waving round a United States of Eurasia flag, and when we came out this guy was like "you enjoy that, mum?" to this old lady. At which point this awestruck little old woman, who had to have been at LEAST 70, went "aye, that was brilliant!".
They're actually the only band I've seen live, I went to a second gig by them on the 11th September on their second night of their second two-night residency at Wembley Stadium - thankfully, right up near the front amongst the moshpits. I nearly fucking died down there, but when I wasn't nearly getting destroyed, I got to appreciate the props... The stage was a
giant building made of screens and lights and there was a UFO that flew around and gave birth to an acrobat and a silverly light-covered elevating platform that rose up above the crowd and confetti cannons and oh my days.
