I suppose it was a Finnish band at a rock festival in 2001.

23rd July, 2008, George Michael at Madison Square Garden, New York, New York.

As Epic as it gets. Great song list, great performer, amazing audience (We estimated that about 70% of the people at the show were gay, which only gave the concert a much better atmosphere).

I sat next to about 5 gay men, and they were some of the nicest people I've ever met. When one of them got a tiny bit rowdy (took of his shirt and began swinging it around) his mate got him to calm down and be respectful to the others around them.

Overall, the first and best concert I've ever been to. Too bad George Michael stopped touring, I would so much go again :)

I went to the Progressive Nation Europe tour. Which means I saw Opeth, Dream Theater, Bigelf, and Unexpect in only one night!

it was maaaaagicaal.
You lucky son of a gun. Whenever I look online for Opeth gigs there was either a gig a few days ago or they'll be touring on the other side of the world.

Trivium in 07, for the crusade tour, I wasnt quite sure who they were at the time, but it was a good night, regardless of the dodgy sound Plymouth Pavilions provides, that was soon over shadowed by Metallica at wembly stadium two months later. FUCKING MINT.

My favorite band so far live though would defently have to be Rammstein, so much fire.

It must've been around 1996 or something, I think I was 9 years old and my big sister took me to a free festival where some of the biggest Finnish bands of the moment ( for example Don Huonot and Apulanta) played and I was too short to see anything so a friend of hers lifted me onto his shoulders so that I could see. Good times. :)

My first gig was Dream Theater and Queensryche at the Oakdale Theater in CT. I was only 12 though and we didn't have very good seats so I don't really remember much of it.

It was a mini festival with about 6-7 local punk bands. It was epic.

Still waiting for Metallica to do a show in England again. When that happens, no force on this earth shall stop the head banging!!!

First concert that I can remember was Blink-182 and Green Day.

First gig was a 4-pak of cover songs for a local bar; we played Comfortably Numb, Immigrant Song, Band of the Run, and All Along the Watchtower.

Hmm... When I was 12 my steddad took me to a DAD concert. They're a danish rock band. Was damn awesome.

First gig I went to on my own was a HateSphere gig. HateSphere is a danish thrashmetal band. It was also awesome. I think it was around 2005.

Haven't been to any proper rock gigs, but I'm going to go to Sonisphere festival next year with a few friends as my birthday treat and main present combined.

Can't wait! Just a shame I couldn't go this year because they had Rammstein and Apocalyptica and Iron Maiden.

Iron Maiden this July in the O2 Arena in Dublin.

Fucking epic. I maintain that they're the best live band in the multiverse.
That is forgivable if your first gig was in july 2010 lol

I think mine was Green Day. It was really fun, although I'm not much of a fan of them now, and since then I've discovered a more intimate concert in a smaller venue is way more enjoyable for me then one with assigned seats in some huge stadium. Although really big, chaotic ones are fun in their own way. I just hate having to sit in a cramped seat.
