Mass Effect because I couldn't care less about the story line and just wanted to go shoot some aliens
Why did you even think of playing Mass Effect then?
You should play Gears of War, that game seems right up your alley.
Oh, and try to get a save file near the beginning of the game, not start a new game, there is some dialogue and an opening cutscene in Gears of War.
Lmao, this may sound weird, but I played Gears of War, and it just seemed like mindless violence, which, ok, was fun for a couple of hours, but for a full game it got a bit tedious, I'm kind of a strange mix and hard to please more often than not, I was also recommended Mass Effect by a friend, and when I say reccomended I meant I borrow it for a week or two.
I'm interested, what FPS's do you like? Cause you've kinda destroyed both ends of the spectrum there XD
neither of those games are FPS's

Far Cry 2, the game just bored me to death. I felt like I was being forced to do everything in that game rather than wanting to do it. The whole Africa setting for me didn't work, crazy gunmen around every corner. Waste of £20.
I felt exactly the same about Far Cry 2. Also, KotOR. I've nothing against it and I respect it's fans, but the turn based combat didn't appeal to me and the whole progressing seemed kind of a drag.

World of Warcraft got boring pretty fast, Age of Conan too. For something so hyped, I don't think I'd ever been so disappointed.

MMOs just aren't for me, I think.

Rogue Galaxy for me.

I tried and tried to enjoy a game I'd been waiting for bloody years to come out, and, I admit it, I liked it, to a point, until the repetitive and annoying combat took its toll on me and I just gave up.

I couldn't stomach the fighting, the finnicky upgrade system or the cliches.

Half Life i just found it quite dull and Oblivion just plain sucks
This.

Also, Killzone 2 was somewhat underwhelming, I mean, it's solid, but nothing more. Should have got R2 instead :(

I'm assuming it has been taken.

I couldn't get into KOTOR myself, the game just...I don't know, I couldn't make myself like it.
Same. I didn't like that you had to - in real time - go through a set of menus to attack people, or do anything for that matter...

At least, that was my view of it...

Oblivion - the most uninspiring tosh I've ever booted up on my PC. Boring, boring, boring. The combat is ****, the story is **** and the gameplay is total ****.

Oh, and World of Warcraft.

And even though I'm a KOTOR fan boy, I can understand why some people would find the combat offputting. Still, it does what it says on the tin, which neither WoW or Oblivion did for me. Though I can't understand why anyone would find Half-Life difficult to get into, at least anyone who remembers what FPS consisted of before its release.

The latest Devil May Cry installment left me cold. Gorgeous to look at, but when I realized I'd have to repeat every level with Dante, I removed it from my console and never looked back. Poo-tinky.

KOTOR. Why did I ever spend money on it, I don't know.
Also GTA3. Seriously now, Vice City rules! But GTA3 was terrible.
