Hardly. If the users were ever listened to then I am pretty sure that March Mayhem would have been shitcanned a long time ago.
Not to mention that horrible and honestly, quite fucking insulting D&D show.

But yeah, as already mentioned I would kill off the elitism and totally unfoundered ego most of the community has.
I would also fix the mod staff.
Fix the mod-staff?
I'm not entirely sure how to do that. I don't suppose we can tune Mr.Funk up with a spanner of some sort.
Says you! I'm going at Funk and seeing if I can tighten him up... whoa that sounds like some kind of innuendo.

Calumon: Jack, be quiet. Goku's going up Snake Way!
Is it the first time when he dozes off on something and falls off then gets the fruit from that guy's tree then goes back up

OR

Is it his second time when he meets the crazy witch lady?

Honestly, I don't think I've had any real impact. Sure, I may post a lot, but I've never done anything particularly noteworthy. While I'd like to think that I help make some forum games popular in their own section, I think that's just imagined importance.
And I can't really think of anything I'd want to change...I'm happy with the site as is.
What do you mean, you have no good impact? You're a forum role-model! If anyone tries to snark at me, saying something to the effect that, "People with high post counts are always snarky and quip-tastic," I point at you and go, "This guy is Neo'd, and is as friendly as they come! He comes up with good posts, too."
I have never seen you make an inflammatory post, in all my days at the 'Scapist. You keep the bar high!

Me? I don't think I do much, really. All I really do here is complain and get people riled up whenever I change my avatar from the white mage.
I wish I could encourage more premeditation before posting, however.
*sniff*
That's...so sweet.
*hugs*
To be honest, up until 5,000 posts, I was pretty snarky. But that changed as time passed. I'm flattered you think of me that way though.

Well, I'm the founder of this thread... [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/18.168645-The-Escapist-Wallpaper-Requests-Thread-UPDATED-16-05-2010#4559008]

I also post a hell of a lot, and so I guess I'm one of the more well-known site members (just waiting for my Star Badge for that thread I mentioned... I kid, I kid ;D). I reckon I have a fairly decent impact on the site, though no more than many other notable members I can name.

As far as changing things, the damn Publisher's Club would be out for a start. And I'd love to be a member of the Red Guard. Aside from that, I probably wouldn't change anything, apart from having both stricter regulations and temporary mods drafted in around the time of March Mayhem...

Humm! I think I, together with another person, have influenced the RP-buisness a bit. Perhaps the teeny, tinseyest bit, but a bit all the same. Perhaps even a very substantial small bit. Brought a few people to the scene that otherwise would've been wasted.

Like myself.

To change stuff? Well, perhaps get rid of things that highlight specific members. Like one member is more worthy of attention than another.

I don't know, is that elitism?

I don't think I particularly impact the Escapist. I mean, I'm reasonably well known, but that doesn't mean much. If I wasn't here, it'd be pretty much the same. So not much.

As for what to change, get rid of the elitism. Just the general "We're better than everyone else" attitude expressed by some members. That needs to go.
Furburt you and your magic staff get almost every first post of every thread, your impact is the fist reply every one ever sees in a thread.

I've been here for a very long time and have done apsolutely nothing and made no impression on anyone.

I'm like the old guy in bad movies who does nothing but is apparently the reason everything turned out right in the end. You know the one.

I wouldn't exactly call myself very influential, but I'd like to think you'd all perish if not for me. It makes me feel big.

Dear god, this. I can't count the number of 'escapist appreciation threads' that've spawned ever since I joined. We get it, it's a nice place, that's why we're here.

I'm pretty sure I have almost no impact, I mean, I chat to some people in certain user groups, but that has no real impact.

To be honest, I wouldn't really change a thing, the Elitism isn't a problem for me, except in regards to "pc elitism" which isn't the Escapist on it's own, and the trolls are funny to watch, if nothing else.

One.
Once.
At least.
Well, you were the first person to give me feedback on my reviews once.
That was real nice.
OT: Umm, I don't know, I guess I don't really impact the community.
Unless it's my MW2 fanboyism. Or my rivalry with the one and only Furburt.
Oh, and as for the imrpovements - I had ideas but I don't really remember right now, I'll get back to you on that one.

I'm new, I do nothing but start moral and pedantic arguments, and am often one of the later people to comment on a thread.

I like to think I'm a mover and shaker in the RP world, though the term is more likely used to be. So yeah, I think I have a measureable effetc on the Escapist, though only if you look in the RP section

My change would be that there were never any lulls in RPing, when people disappear for exams, holidays, or whatever else and thereby kill the stream of RPs

I don't think I'm particularly well known, and I have little impact on anything on this website, aside from in the TF2 group. But I don't really care. Popularity is overrated. All it makes people have is expectations. They'll want you to act a specific way, since people like consistency. So long as I'm not popular, nobody will expect anything from me.

As for what I would change, well a ton of people have already mentioned the elitism that this site generates. However I would also make roleplaying outside of the RP forums against the rules.

I dunno, I at least recognize your avatar, that's something right?

But anyway, I haven't done anything spectacular, and 300 posts ain't anything to write home about.
