Extraplanar humans :x From another dimension .... Man's greatest enemy is not only Man ... but Manly Man from another plane were Man also reigns supreme.

Or if Avatar has anything to do about it ... humanoid anthropomorphic people of an unnatural hue. Yes .. been done in anime ... but not so much mainstream western journalism and film.

There is some folk creature or other which chops people's nobs off in the night. That would be pretty scary. I'd like to see something Polynesian, like an evil Tiki. Or Baba Yaga.

There is lots of untapped potential if you just take a moment to look through the pantheons of monsters that appear in any culture.

Space tentacle monster.

Need more vine creatures. Like below. (Or some humanoid shaped creature made of pure vines)

And finally... Umm... Let's just go with octopus head creatures! Mind flayers I think that's the name.

...Why are my three choices creatures with tentacles of some sort? o_O

Must be the tentalce porn.

Jee, gosh, now you're asking something hard, because pretty much every single person has had his/her head filled with three things throught the years:
- Zombies, any kind;
- Vampires, even hot ones(Twilight, yay(Hard to believe I'm a dude huh:p));
- Werewolves and were-animals in general, hell, even Sonic did it!

So what's left to abuse in any game and film?

Let me tell you:
Guinea pigs!
South Park beat ya to the punch.

Well, I think that the "Mummy" series have ruined any chance of mummies ever becoming serious, so I think that the next thing is going to be:

Aliens, there has been a serious lack of good "evil aliens attack" movies, though it is every other game, so it can wait.

I think that robots were a close second if it weren't for the 80s and Micheal Bay-splosions.

I do think that you could make a good few creepy as hell "faerie" movies, but sure as hell not fairies, no, they come right behind Twilight on the fabulous-scale.

Otherwise, demons are our last hope to survive for the next 60 years until people forget about The Mummy.

How about shapeshifters!? They could creep us out beyond fear.

Shapeshifting. It must involve black ooze and sharp tentacles. It will take place in New York, to avoid that... well, you know...

So the typical Hentai?
Your missing the ordinary Japanese boy who somehow attracts every attractive person in a 10 mile radius.

OT: Evil carrots.
Killer tomatoes close enough for ya?

¿How about ninja mutant anthropomorphic animals?

And I'm NOT biased in any way about it, no. I in particular wouldn't be beneficed by that no.

I'd say Golems would be pretty awesome. Or mummies. I haven't seen a (good) movie about mummies in a while.

I think Magikarp should be the next horrific monster.
No, I am not just saying this for personal reasons.
Who cares if I got killed by a splashing fish?

But I want a new creature that can be used in any movie, any game, and an other form of entertainment, that can be used over and over again without any one getting sued.
All Lovecraft's stuff is out of copywrite now (he was dead for 75 yeas some time in 2007), so any of that can be used without risk of legal action. Bits added by other authors afterwards are still owned though.

Emos. Hordes of whining, crying emos. Boring people to death with their poetry.
