Again my last post applies to you as well. Saying the WBC should picket his is just disrespectful. No matter what he did he doesn't deserve to have his funeral protested. I'm not defending him for drink-driving but that's not enough for him to deserve to have his funeral picketed.Sober Thal said:

To start, picketing a funeral, even if it were someone who "deserved it" (In my opinion Dunn comes no where close to that) is never a good thing. The person is already dead, all that is doing is hurting loved ones who are already mourning even more. It's just a terrible thing to do period, as all it does is cause pain to people who already just lost a brother/friend/son/etc.
No one here knew Ryan Dunn, and because of that there is a frighteningly large amount of people on here who say the equivalent of "He got what he asked for" or "Who cares, he never contributed anything, he was a jackass." He was also a human being, and from what people who actually knew him have said, he sounds like damn good one. Much better than anyone on this site who says disrespectful and inhumane things about his life and death.
I'm not meaning to single you out, and I know you said don't quote you, but a large part of this community has been disgustingly disrespectful about this whole thing.
I agree, there should be a group that counters this... Oddly enough, from what I've heard, the KKK turned up at one of their protests to try and counter protest them. It was at that point things got difficult, because if people started choosing one of those 2 sides... All I'm saying is that there was once a counter protest against the WBC, but it was the wrong kind of people for the job. I thought they would support the WBC, but the fact that they didn't was really strange. I'm firmly against both groups just so you know.
Can't wait to see the Jackass guys completely destroy them. It will be hilarious and no one will blame them.
In a terrible way, this is a badge of honour, as Westbro only picket things that people love and care about. I didn't know anything about Dunn till I heard these creeps were picketing his funeral, I can only conclude he is a thoroughly decent person who will be greatly missed.
I hope his family get a restraining order though, freedom of speech is not licence to obscene rallies that disrupt the peace.

That church is filled with hardcore religious zealots. They will not go away, they firmly believe that what they say is the truth and no amount of logic, evidence or reason will make them see otherwise. You cannot get rid of people like that by simply ignoring them.Ephraim J. Witchwood said:

No one deserves to be picketed at their own funeral. There are a few exceptions, because they're universally hated, but generally no one deserves that. It's just wrong...and really mean.

The WBC are trolls. And if my roleplaying has taught me anything, the only way to kill trolls is with fire and/or acid. I suggest the former.
