WBC - Everything bad about my religion in one easy to nuke package.
Proof that God exists :)

I wonder if good old Jack Thompson is a memeber of WBC's congregation, it seems like the two would be a good fit for each other. They both like lying and are attention whores.

*sighs* darn. That was my Christmas, Easter, and Birthday combined into one. Ah well, maybe they will still do it one day.

Anyways, I wish I could say I didnt care, but I had a rather... person, run in with one of the WBC this weekend.

Though... if they were going to sue IP addresses, why dont other corporations do this when attacked by Anon?
Wait, you can't just leave us dangling when it comes to that. You need to tell your WBC story.

Westboro Baptist Church isn't a Christian Establishment. It's one moron and his immediate family and friends.

The "Preacher" a defrocked lawyer who goes around demanding the right to protest the most idiotic things. If he gets refused, he sues for hundreds of thousands because his "right to peaceably protest" has been denied. If he gets it, he tries to lure somebody in to violence, by saying "thank God for dead soldiers" or "thank God for earthquakes" or some excrement until somebody hits him, then he sues.

He's abusing the right to peaceably protest for monetary gain, and there's nothing we can really do about it until everyone starts ignoring him, and he'll eventually run out of cash and have to find something else to do.

lol they are so victimized poor WBC. If only there was some supreme deity of hate they could worship, then people wouldn't mind them so much bc they would only be practicing their religion. Unfortunately for them, they choose a hippocratic god who loves all except for those not in the congregation. That makes their god kind of a douche. Its like the kid that invites a bunch of people to his party and then blacklists anyone that didnt come.

Edit: Nvm what I said previously, I just read more about them, and yeah WBC sucks way more than any other religious congregation I know of.

Yeah, I'm always up for a good story/new reason to hate the WBC.

It wasnt really alot. The guy just got in my friend's face. My friend is gay and goes to the Main Pittsburgh University campus and I went to see him Saturday. So we were walking and chilling, talking, and this guy walks out with a god hats fags shirt on and accused my friend of being gay (how he knew I have no honest idea). So my friend didnt deny it, and said I am, and the guy got into is face about it.

eventually he crossed a line and started making my friend feel bad (who's not outgoingly gay, he's just normal), so I told the WBC guy to stop and he said I was my friends lover (i'm not) and that we would go to hell cause... well... as his shirt said, god hates fags. So i told him to stop again, he asked if I wanted to fight, because, and I have to quote him here

Jesus and God hate fags, and with their love and support, I will easily win this fight in the name of my lord to prove you satan worshipping sinners will go to hell

Which I thought was rather funny cause I was Roman Catholic, and my priest is rather chill about people being gay. So I told him if I won, it proved that either:
a) god was not on his side
or
b) Satan was stronger.

And of course I won. He threw a punch, I redirected it, broke his elbow, wrist, and shoulder and left him lying on the ground while I walked with my friend to get some lunch.

so yeah... I have a rather bad taste in my mouth about them.

until these assholes feel the wrath and swift action of anon I wait. For anon is our V, they are our Boondock Saints. They aim to liberate and free people us from oppression.

I'm currently training to go into the military and I have always been freaked out that the US army does something to piss off Anon. =P

Wait... Anonymous can issue press releases? How...? What...? Somehow that seems impossible to me.
Yes - http://anonnews.org/ - Anyone can add one. Usually press releases are written by about 20 people at the same time. Personally, I don't think any body should be able to add 1. They should have to submit the press releases and have it approved before it shows on the site. Recently there has been some trolls releasing fake ones.

"Rule 14:
Do not argue with trolls - it means that they win."

http://kanewj.com/wbc/

There are already many American patriot groups that deal with the WBC through counter protest.

To me this seems like a smart choice from anon, no matter how satisfying a ddos/deface would be it would achieve nothing, and give the WBC a chance to profit further.

Each race determines for itself what indecencies are. Nature knows no indecencies; man invents them.
- Mark Twain, Notebook, 1896

Respect to Anonymous for their choice of response to this baiting, its something rare to see these days when, whether wanting to go for the tin-hat view of it being WBC rolling cointelpro style or simply a rouge group inside Anonymous that had not been fully infected yet, that they were able, within an organisation without leadership, to identify and counter so effectively from the start this fake op, taking a more rational approach to this problem.

There are massacres happening, please send letters and emails to your government representatives to apply pressure to stop the violence in Libya [through the UN etc] and other countries against peaceful protesters, why be fascinated by the deranged meanderings of religious trolls, giving them media time that is frankly just a waste.

Gah! These people again? I thought somebody would have 'gotten rid' of them by now. Seriously, they need their heads examined...

To quote Ron White...
"If your such an inbred, meth-head, shit-hook, that you would consider shaking a baby... The only thing that is going to help you is a beheading."

Replace 'shaking a baby' with your favorite WBC pastimes, such as 'miss-quoting the bible for your own twisted agenda', 'hate mongering', 'burning a Koran during Ramadan', 'protesting soldier's funerals', 'protesting the San Diego Comic-Con'; and their latest hit, 'crying wolf against Anonymous hackers'!

Well, props to the majority of active Anonymous for sticking to their guns and not trying to crush speech they don't agree with.

As several other posters have mentioned, yeah, sure it could have been one guy who claims to be Anonymous that sent that letter, but what matters is that their site was not attacked. Also technically Anonymous is not just a meaningless mask like anonymity, it's more of an idea (mostly about the good of free speech and information) and the members of Anonymous or all those who subscribe to that idea. Therefore, anyone who wishes to repress freedom of speech is not a member of Anonymous.
