"Secconded. I can't think of one logical reason that fucker is even on the ship, all he ever does is randomly mutter to himself and let loose a daemon occasisonaly."

OOC- Sorry for making you talk Galt, But you know, it fits.
OOC- Don't worry, I can make you do much worse things, that's the perk of being Game Manager, hell, I could probably kill someone off by a horrible STD if it wouldn't cost me my credibility.

*Galt takes notice of Hellspawn's comment*

"With all respect due towards a convict like yourself, I will inform you that our little demonic friend is a valuable asset to our crew, if we are to ever reach this governor and things start to turn south, you'll thank me for letting him tag along, if you're still alive by then."

"I don't think we'll be reaching the governor any time soon, Galt. Once we're out of this mess I'm sure our superiors will want to 'discuss' what happened here and personally I'd rather return to Port Maw for several weeks before embarking on another 'crusade'. It would be wiser for us to finish this by any means, than wait and hope to reach our intended destination before we are all murdered."

*Kalidian took a moment to catch his breath, leaning on a bulkhead for support.*

"That daemonhost will be a constant threat to us so long as it remains alive, it must be destroyed."

OOC: Eegads! I thought Galt was already in the room! Oh I was just muttering to myself then. Hang on, I'll just copy past and remove my last comment.

Gremlin stared at the floor, Jaw clenched. Wolvaroo had quite possibly saved his life the day before, and now he was dead. "By the emperor, I will make whoever did this pay dearly!" he glanced up, looking at everyone around him. His eyes settled on Verendus, just for a moment. He leaned over to Galt, who was standing next to him. "Boss, what about Verendus? He accuses me of being the killer, Wolvaroo refuses to restrain me then disarms him, and now he turns up dead? Seems a little suspicious." He whispered, then paused for a moment. "But I don't want to shoot another comrade out of paranoia" he muttered, perhaps more to himself then Galt.

OOC: Sorry for the double post. All the Imperial guard on the ship are from Zen's convict division.

Ridiculous, yet clever. This would have to be someone smart enough to cover their tracks.
Who did it? I'm thinking Zen. Somebody that strong wouldn't need to use lethal force.

"No. I do not believe killing the deamon host is in order. Yes, the hertic could use him, or perhaps the other way around. But destroying it would make this whole vogue invalid. You are correct though, so I say we should step up gaurd around it. I say we let one of us, gaurd it other then the gaurds on this ship. At least we will have a closer look at the creatures movements with less of a danger. I still believe that either Verendus or resently The Sorrow (after listening over to his comments about Zen) could be it. Any one who dares be a traitor must have the eyes of the Emperor on them."

*Rob walks in, looks at dead body, walks out. Looks surprised.*
"shit, what did you use to break a skull like that, implosive toxins? And he called him sneaky friend? I think only an inquisitor could move around on the ship being unnoticed, and considering many have small psychic capabilities, I wouldn't be surprised if one them used some kinda mind trick."

::Whatever Room We Happen To Be In::

"...No more killing," Ophelia says quietly, but with a firm resolve. "The host is as much a human as we are, despite his terrible burden. Confronting the assassin and Killion were both grave mistakes, and we can nary afford another."

"Destroying the daemonhost is a security measure, Rain, even if he is not the traitor in our midst. Though it's perfectly plausible that he is: Killing the psykers to help cover his tracks while going about his murder of the rest of us. If he did intend to kill Zen, rather than the Ogryn, then he would have eliminated the commander of the convicts, allowing him to infiltrate them. The death of the Ogryn is not necessarily a set-back for him, as Wolvaroo was the only one physically strong enough to restrain the daemonhost. The threat he presents is too great to allow him to live."

Kalidian paused, allowing this information to sink in.

OOC: Oooo! I just noticed this* on Verendus' char description.

Leaving Galt to ponder what he had said, Gremin spoke aloud. "Verendus." He began. "Yesterday, he tried to have Wolvaroo restrain me. Wolvaroo refused and disarmed him. Now the ogryn lies dead. Perhaps co-incidence, it would be perhaps too obivous, show him up to be the killer. But I saw the spark of sanity go out of Killian's eyes in a moment, and anyone there yesterday saw Verendus wasn't in the calmest state. Moments of madness are unavoidable on this ship, and it's more than possible he set Wolvaroo against an impossible opponent out of anger, without thinking how he may be exposed. And Verendus has tried to escape before*. He's the only person with a real motive I can think of; kill the crew off, and he can hijack the ship and fly somewhere he can be free of his duties to the emperor."

"No, I don't think it's Verendus, he's far too dedicated to his men to betray them like this. We're looking for someone who either has a deep-rooted hatred for the Imperium or is being offered a tidy sum by this governor to kill us. Perhaps even both."

Verendus snorted at what Gremlin said.
"Whether or not I want to escape is a moot point; I have a duty to my men, and I wouldn't kill them to be free. You, on the other hand, have no duty to anyone except yourself. Maybe there's something on this ship you're willing to kill for. I wouldn't be surprised if someone has something hidden away in the hold that you've come across and decided that its best we don't need to know about it," He took a step forward, pointing at Gremlin. "Or maybe the warp has driven you mad. You've spent alot of time with that sentinal of yours, alone.. who knows what.. abominations.. you may have sworn fealty to," he said sneering. "What was the deal, heretic.." he put emphasis on the last word, so the inquisitors would hear. "Deliver enough souls to the Void and they offer eternal life? Hmmm?" He left the last part to sink in, before drawing his pistol.
"I refuse to be on the same ship as this.." he said something indistinguishable under his breath, "either he dies, or I do. I'm not waiting around for a knife in the dark to finish me off. So draw your sidearm, and lets finish this," he said, pistol at his side, waiting for a response. Even if he didn't draw his pistol, in 10 seconds there would be a corpse.

OOC- I seem to have been backed into a GM's dilemma. So, if Gremlin doesn't post on this before 8 PM EST, I'll use this as the lynch. If he does, then I'll settle it via coin toss and call it a day.

Gremlin snarled. "Me?!" he advanced, "I keep with the Gremlin because that's where I feel safe. Can you blame me? As for signing a deal with chaos or Daemons, how stupid are you? Psyker's freak me out! You think I'd sign on with chaos? If so, I'm not the mad one here." He glanced to the rest of the crew. "Who's gonna stop him this time?! Cos I'm betting they end up dead if they don't kill him in the process!" He shouted. His hands moved in a blur and suddenly the flamer was squatting in hands. "Ooo, look at that. One of us thought to upgrade his firepower. You know why? Because I was frightened. Because there was a killer on the loose. Because the killer isn't me! And now you, a fully trained guardsman, use the paranoia to accuse a sentinel pilot and kill him without suspicion. Not a fair fight, killer." He raised his flamer, ready.

OOC: I'm really glad I picked up that flamer now.

Kalidian watched the unfolding events with cold certainty, someone was going to die, and it would be the man who's trigger finger wasn't fast enough. Backing away he silently drew his pistol, better to be ready kill if the wrong person won.

Hey, I didn't kill anybody. If I did, you wouldn't be able to identify the body. I don't use dumb brutes to do what a well-placed bullet could.

Verendus laughed.
"There's no smoke without fire is there?" he said to Gremlin. "This isn't paranoia, this is logic. It's you, I know its you, and I'll stake my life on that. But now we have a predicament, don't we? You fire, kill me, possibly kill the other people in the room, the Emperor only knows what upgrades you've put on that flamer.. and I shoot you, maybe damage the flamer and boom, we all go up," he said, eying the others in the room. He didn't want anyone else to die at Gremlins hand, but to stop this madman.. there could be some.. collateral damage.
"And as you, pointed out, I am a fully trained guardsman, so do you seriously think I would walk into a situation like this with just a sidearm? Pull that trigger, and see what happens," Verendus said, a sly grin creeping across his lips. "An old CO of mine had a saying for situations like this.. "its time to roll the dice.." So. It's your move. But, know this, in 10 seconds, there will be at least one corpse in this room.." as he let that last statement sink in, the mental metronome in his head began to count..
10..
