Gremlin scratched his head. "Well.. I've looted a lot of stuff from battlefields" he indicated the flamer "but I don't think I've ever come across stuff like this. And if I do find anything like that, I find its better to give it a wide berth in the name of self preservation. To get this stuff, and know what it is, he'd either have to be a very lucky and well-read on bio-warfare opportunist, or someone who'd have access to stuff like that, I dunno, a quarter master, or someone who can specifically order stuff in." he drummed his mechanical toes on the floor. "I think your question needs another couple clauses. Who could have access to a biological weapon, and who would know what it is and how to use it?"

We're making a mistake here: we're concentrating only on this murder and not how it ties in to the last one. Poison was used earlier. If we can identify what was used earlier, it will make it easier to narrow down where their getting it.
That daemonhost bothers me...

"It seems as if the killer is trying to keep a select few alive, I don't know who and I don't know why, but these killings don't show any sign of desperation. It's almost as if this is a game, a game in which the killer is trying to use up all of their pawns before they point the finger at their king."

Larenxis did not appreciate being eyed by Rain, and was caught a little off guard when Pie mentioned him out of the blue.

"I don't understand how I can be a suspect. I know nothing about gases or poisons, and I have no motive. Not to mention that accusing me now would be declaring more than one killer, as I was not a friend of Wolvaroo's, and that seemed to indicate my innocence previously." Larenxis beckoned his servo-skull with a motion, and patted the top of it's head. "Is there anything you'd like to ask of me? I want to make sure the air circulation systems haven't been tampered with. I'd like someone to come with me too, for if the systems have been tampered with, I'm sure a witness to my actions will be necessary."

He didn't think to say outright that he wasn't the killer. He didn't understand that sometimes an honest statement is better than pure logic. This tragic situation on this floating piece of metal had resulted in the most human interaction outside of the tech-priests he'd experienced in a long time.

"The Inquisition knows of the Mechanicum's experiments with lethal viruses and toxins. I'm sure you have been privy to several demonstrations, Larenxis. Though I currently see no motive for you. You would get the Titan either way and it would be better for everyone to stay alive to not provoke attention.

I feel that the killer is trying to mislead us by using these varied means of murder. Covering his tracks, if you will. The daemonhost is still a threat, if the killer makes a deal with it then none of us could stand in his way. We should dispose of it before it either breaks free or is released."

*Kalidian's hand hovered close to his pistol, ready for anything.*

The use of means other than straight-up bullets is the only link between the killings...
Kill the daemonhost. He's too dangerous.
*Draws a bead on the "Delinquint"'s head*
Give the order, Captain.

OOC: I guess I'm out of my chamber now (by the demand of the Inquisitor), since guns are being pointed at me.

*Irish glares at Maeror. The gunner flinches slightly, as his body is scanned by cold eyes. Whether they are the eyes of man or Daemon, he is not sure...all he knows is that they creep him the hell out.*

"How dare you accuse me! Until now, I have been secured in the null chamber. I have dutifully been awaiting our arrival to our destination, so that I might be used as a tool in His work. Raise your weapon at me again at your own peril. I have endured the torments of sanctioning, Soul-Binding, and Daemonic possession...I know the definition of pain. I would have you begging for the Emperor's Forgiveness before you could pull the trigger!"

*Irish stalls, massaging his temples. He turns to Galt*

"My Lord, I have attempted to use astrotelepathy to contact nearby ships, in hopes of finding our bearings. I was able to contact a Raven Guard battle barge. Their navigator informed me that we are about 7 days realspace from our destination."

OOC: Sorry, kinda took it under control there. I wanted to add some urgency to this roleplay.

"You're powers cannot stop a bullet, daemonhost, you are threat whether you believe it or not. If you strike against us then I shall be forced to kill you, though I am willing to guard you myself so long as I have backup from someone." Kalidian looks at Maeror, suggesting that he be the one to back him up.

"Who would you have us accuse, daemonhost?"

*Irish turns to face Kalidian, apparently surprised that his opinion was asked.*

"I am unsure as to who is the culprit, I am merely certain that it was not me. My accusation would only increase our problems. Blind accusations are like adding Orks to a Waaagh; it only helps your enemy.

...but since you asked so nicely...

It must be someone who is not used to taking a life. With the exception of the murder of the poor navigator, all of the other deaths have been carelessly executed. The murderer also seems to have a lack of compassion for the lives of those on board. I would personally investigate the Techpriest more closely...something feels wrong about it's assistant."

*Irish sits down on the deck, assuming a meditative pose.*

"If you need my help, I am always willing to do His divine work. If you feel you need to guard me, I have no right to oppose...I am after, all only, a implement of His will."

Walking with Pie, Magos Titanica Larenxis's footsteps took him from his accusers. The servo-skull followed after him.

"It's so strange how the fear comes out of people. There's no proof I'm the killer, but I'm... different, so they abuse the situation and... well, I fear for my life. They've killed others so easily. Well, I suppose 'we' have, as I didn't stand up for anyone but myself." Larenxis had lost a bit of tact, but gained a shred of sincerity.

"I don't think you're the killer, Pie," he said to the man walking by his side.

"All this horror and frightened panic reminds me of my first contact with a non-human alien. You haven't heard the story have you Brother Kalidian? I note this because I already know that Galt has read my personal briefing. I'm not sure that you have,"

Kalidian shakes his head.

"No brother Rain. I have not. It seems odd you bring it up in this situation though."

"Very true. I just remember this form of fear. Well actually, this would be mild compared to thus. My first mission had me travel to the Orion sector. Our ship was jumped by a raiding party of pirate Eldar. The guardsmen did there best to save the civilian hold but lost at the amount of overwelming numbers of the pirates. Their cackles and manic laughter echoed down each hall only muffled by the screams of the dying and those that only wished to. A group of guardsmen as well as myslef ran to secure the civilian hold, to rescue them from the clutches of the Dark Eldar, but it was too late. The Eldar had made off with over a hundred bodies that they would use to torture for weeks or months. I hesitated, that made me weak. I hesitaed and those innocent people would suffer the worst of all punishments. I vowed to the lord Emperor that I would give up my own life to protect the holy and just from the crulety and evil from devils, deviants and heritics."

Gremlin's eyes flicked between the Daemonhost and those that wanted to kill it. His hand began to move towards his weapon, but he stopped himself. "Guys" he began, calmly, but coldly "last time someone drew a gun on someone else on this bridge, I lost a leg. I quite like my other limbs, so put your weapons away!"

*Lowers the weapon*
I'm dead tired of having to do that.
If you know so much pain, I thought you would be happy to have someone end it.
Now, I've taken some precautions. I have a live grenade hidden somewhere on me. I've rigged it to go off only if my heart stops. The blast radius is roughly five meters. Nobody is going to kill me.

*Kalidian backed away from Maeror, if there was going to be shooting then he'd rather not get caught in another explosion.*

"So who do you believe to be the killer, Maeror? It's all very well securing your own life but what about ours? If we Inquisitors die then there will be serious ramifications."

"My pain cannot end until the God-Emperor has no further use for me. That is why I am eager to catch this killer...the sooner we make planetfall, the sooner I can fulfill my purpose."

"If we turn against each other, then some nefarious purpose has been served here. Thought is our greatest weapon, not violence."

But I like violence...
Anyway...*Shifts aim over to Kalidian*
Who would know poisons and killing methods better than a torturer, hmm? If you kill us, the Emperor would easily believe any lie his little pet told him.

Gremlin cocked his head and stared at Maeror. "Very impressive explosive skills there" His mind travelled back to the navigation spire, the bomb. "But your logic is flawed. That grenade is not going to kill the killer, especially not now you've announced it, he'd find a way round it. All the grenade is going to do is make sure that if we accuse you, you'll take as many people as possible with you. Innocent people. Far as I'm concerned, that makes you as bad as the killer in my eyes. It isn't the mindset of the hunted. More like the fanatic."

He paused.

"Chaos have quite a lot of fanatics, you know"
