Fallout

(and more recently, Bioshock)

Ever notice those two always go together on certain people's "faves"?

spent a good amount of my middle school days obsessed with the Jak and Daxter series, and I still hope that Naughty Dog will make a new one

Developers: Atlus, NIS, BioWare, Platinum, Valve, Obsidian, Epic.

Shows: K-ON!, Maria-sama ga Miteru, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Dennou Coil.

Bands/artists: Aphex Twin, Squarepusher, Melt-Banana, Ryoji Ikeda, OOIOO, Autechre, Ni-Hao! (the currently-inactive Japanese noise rock band, not that other one).

Why? Because they're awesome.

Atlus. I love the Persona series and I can't wait for Catherine. I even enjoy the Etrian Odyssey games.

Also, I really love Haruki Murakami. I don't care that his books tend to be very similar. As a matter of fact, I expect it. It's his world and I buy the books because I want to be immersed in it.

Finally, the anime series Monster. I never hear anyone mention it, and yet it is one of the best shows I have encountered within the genre. It's heavy on exposition, to be sure, but the slow start only serves to strengthen a wonderfully realized cast of characters. In all honestly, it reminds me of a Dostoevsky novel: fascinating, consistent characters, a strong sense of place, and replete with moral ambiguity. That is hasn't been commercially viable (the second box set was never released; fortunately, Manga Entertainment has posted all of the episodes on Youtube) is a disappointing testament to the fact that people prefer schlock such as Elfen Lied (promising Schlock though it is) to well developed drama. It's a shame.

As much as I love PC gaming, I am really only a "fanboy" about anything Shu Takumi makes (Phoenix Wright, Ghost Trick), and also Elite Beat Agents. I honestly have trouble shutting up about "Oh man, the ending to Ace Attorney Investigations/Ghost Trick was SO AMAZING, YOU HAVE TO PLAY IT"

1) Zero Punctuation: Like 1st post, he's the reason I'm here.
2) Hinata: I absolutely love Hinata,(SPOILER ALERT) and it was horrifying for me when she nearly died during Peins (or Pains) assault.
3) Dethklok: Their first album is amazing, and the shows always make me laugh.
4 (and last one): Abridged Series: There is something amazing about voice-overs that makes me want to make my own (possibly an OoT one)... Thanks, Little Kuriboh and adamwestslapdog! Keep up the good work!

I don't like the way fanboys/fangirls defend their love to the death but I'd have to say that I'm a massive Capcom whore.
