Gonna mentally prepare myself to both go to college and play Skyrim. It'll be tough...very very tough...

Playing Oblivion, memorising the voiceover from the teaser trailer, trying to translate dragon, repeatedly watching the gameplay trailer, trying to get the Skyrim theme INTO my head. The usual I do when a really anticipated game comes out
(i.e. HALO Reach, Skyrim, Fallout: New Vegas, Skyrim, The Ballad of Gay Tony, Skyrim...Did I mention Skyrim?)

Um....sigh...planing my private unwritten fanfict lore to work with the game. My main character is going to be a relative to my Morrowind/Oblivion character (who was the son of the hero of Arena/Daggerfall)
Also I worked out that they are ancestors of the Dunmer Empress who's name escapes me at the moment.

I would have also said playing Oblivion and Morrowind alot...but I do that anyways.

I was introduced to The Elder Scrolls with The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. Despite how much the game irritates me (falling down stairs instead of WALKING DOWN THEM!!!, and the combat), it's still a great fantasy RPG, and it's mod support and community is ridiculously amazing...aside from the imbalance of porn-mods to improvement-mods.

Anywho, Skyrim. I'm interested in it, and definitely considering getting it. With Fallout 3 being an improvement to Oblivion, I'm looking forward to Skyrim being a similar improvement to Oblivion. It seems with each new game, Bethesda gets the formula just a bit better than the previous.

So right now, I'm playing Oblivion. Not really because I'm breathlessly dangling from my cage attempting to hold on until Skyrim comes running up to me with trampoline-net and joyful tidings, but rather because I'm in the mood for a good fantasy RPG with ridiculously amazing mod-support and an imbalance of porn mods to good mods. I'm confident Skyrim will replace my Oblivion install however. I just hope they release the modding tools within mere days of Skyrim's release. Not doing so would be a sin against the gaming gods that have, to this point, blessed Bethesda and its modding-oriented player base.
Heh...oh what bliss ignorance makes. You would feel a bit different had you started with Morrowind. But hopefully those mistakes they made in Oblivion you are...oblivious to, will be fixed.

Never finished Oblivions main story, so I'm doing that with an overhaul-mod. :)
When I think about it, I didn't actually finish Morrowind either, I get distracted probably!

I'm just hoping the stealth is better in this game. I tried making myself out as an assassin in leather type in Oblivion and it was terrible.

Making an mage/marksman character in Oblivion. Never done it before...it's a nice change of pace.

Getting a new PC which I hope will be able to run it decently.

PS3 versions of Bethesda's free roam RPGs just isn't the same without the excellent mods that spring up a few months after each release.
